I care about drummers, but only if they drum with heart. Most drummers are just filler for me as well, but some drummer outshine more than others that's for sure. Speaking of gnarly drummers, did you check out that new Fleshgod I posted a few pages back? :>

Yeah... gotta catch up a lot on stuff, mainly taxes, hospital bills, etc. Gotta get the necessities out of the way before luxuries can exist. /sadface

Nah, not yet. Will do it in a few minutes.

The thing is, internet is more of a necessity for me, I have no clue how I'd spend my days without it.

Let me know what you think when you are done with the song, if your brains are still inside your head.

It is a necessity for me as well, however, something I CAN live without, and unfortunately, I have no choice but to live without it here. >.<

Harsh vocals don't fit it at all. :| With clean/choir it would make a pretty good Therion-like song. :x

I can only repeat myself - that sucks.

Harsh vocals don't fit in at all?!?!?! WUTDAHEK!!! hahahaah

They are perfect in there. And while I'll admit that a choir would be freaking rad in this album, the clean vocals they have already are just fine, and are in at the right times. If you can at all, definitely try to find the song call "The Forsaking". The harsh vocals are a little more.... Agalloch-ie imo. I mean not entirely the whole song, but more so that what you heard in "The Hypocrisy". If you have no interest in hearing it I understand, but it's actually a good Metal song, nice a slow, beautiful melodies, AWESOME piano sounds. It's great.

I listened to that one, gave me an even stronger Therion vibe. Choir plus a vocalist like on Therion's Lemuria would be amazing on it.
Meh, I don't like harsh vocals in general, only when it doesn't sound like they're using harsh vocals just to sound more "metal".

Would be cool, but that's what makes Fleshgod, Fleshgod! hahahha. I will admit though like I said, a choir would have been godly. But this whole album is f*cking fantastic. I really liked their debut album "Oracles", but that was straight up a tech death album. Very VERY little symphonic atmospheres. However, this one is the entire opposite, the ENTIRE ALBUM has the symphonic backgrounds. I've heard mixed feelings from several Fleshgod fans, but most seem to be on my side, that it is definitely a more defined sound, and very very much welcome. <3

Oh and Harsh Vox ftw <3

Yeah, it isn't bad. Better than simple tech death, that's for sure.

Fun, cheesy powermetal with some sympho and a female vocalist:

Haha, they are awesome, and I agree Twilight and Surtur Rising are their best. If I had just Amon Amarth and Dark Tranquillity (who are awesome, give them a listen!) on my iPod I could last for months. :)

EDIT: if you want random, but awesome, Lotus Eater by Opeth is great http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSSLXMzxxP8

Amon Amarth is great, don't get me wrong. But there are just so many better Melodeath bands out there, and somehow THEY are the popular ones >.< hahaahahaha Dark Tranq is great too, except in songs throughout their albums where they use clean vocals. Not that I have anything against them, but particularly in Dark Tranq's msuic, it f*cking blows and makes them sound terrible. In Flames > At the Gates > Dark Tranquility (in terms of era and geographical location Melodeath).

Lotus Eater is good... but was a strange Opeth song, and the only Opeth song to use Blast Beats. I had that song as a ring tone when Watershed first came out. Hessian Peel is the best song on that album though by far.

Porcelain Heart is for noobs. You're a noob, Balu`. Noob.

In all seriousness though, that's the only song on the album I can play all the way through on the guitar. LOL

Hahah. It might be somewhat simple guitar-wise, then. Still, it's the best on it by far. :x

it is a good song, no mistake there. But Hessian Peel... that is pure Opeth goodness there.
