No idea why. Much, much worse. Get a PC. Unless you do alot of travelling around or moving around the house. Then a laptop, but don't you just sit in your room a lot?
I do. But I also like watching shows on it in my bed. Plus, I couldn't get a much better configuration in a PC than a laptop. And when I do need to go somewhere with it, it's there.. But then again, a PC is a little cheaper.
I was fine with a PC until I got a laptop. Now I can't live without it. hahahaah. I love the portability factor that's for sure, especially for sitting in bed and watching movies/playing games, whatever. PC is a little cheaper though. I dunno man. What are you leaning towards? A lappy?
Yup. These ones: http://notebookstore.hu/hu/termekek/reszletek/8816_hp_g62-b62sb_biscotti_prism_notebook_renew_xw735ear/ http://notebookstore.hu/hu/termekek/reszletek/8820_hp_g62-a60sp_silver_prism_notebook_renew_wq293ear/ http://notebookstore.hu/hu/termekek/reszletek/10138_hp_probook_4530s_notebook_akcios_xx984ea/ http://notebookstore.hu/hu/termekek/reszletek/8355_samsung_rv509_silver_notebook_np-rv509-s01hu/ The site's in Hungarian, but you can probably understand most of it. Which one looks the best?
If I were to pick the of the four, the last one would definitely be my choice. That one is effin nice....... third one is okay, but lower HDD memory, and the first one is nice, but not a huge fan of HP (personal preference) and the second one, well it only has 3 gig of RAM. I have to have the more personally. The more the merrier. 4 is fine. Plus the last one has a nVIDIA GeForce GT 315M which is what my lappy uses and it rocks. ^.^
You make it sound like there are much better options out there. ^^ Anyway, yeah, the last one is the best, but it also comes with no decent operating system and a Win7 costs another $100+. /I'm not a fan of software piracy/
Ouch... how in the shit did I miss that? Ouch ouch ouch... well. That sucks man. A lot. And yeah, software piracy is lame. Glad to hear you agree on that stance. Well shit. Then in all honesty, go with the first one. It's definitely nice as well. Because I am lazy, how much are these? I am too lazy to translate the prices.
Yay. Agreement is always great. First one has a worse graphics card, tho. >.> I'm lazy too, so I'll only say 1 USD = 190 HUF. This should help. ^^
Indeed it is. Pirating music is a different story though. I don't like it, but I do it all the time cause, well, ya know. I'm poor. And I like a lot of music. =/ Suck it up and buy the last one with Win7 then!!!! Cause frankly the rest of them kind of suck in comparison. The lack of OS is really the only downfall. LOL
Yeah. But you could always use stuff like Rhapsody or Spotify, those are kinda cheap. It'd be totally out of cash then. But whatever, I might just do that. Or I don't know, if I got a PC I could have much better stuff in there (the memory is the only possible problem with these, I like browsing with over 60 tabs). Hard choice.
Yeah... I could.................................... Yeah true, you could get away with building your PC for 2/3rds the cost of the Lappy... but it's not portable... which is definitely worth the extra $$$. It's up to you bro, I would get the lappy, but that's because I spend money poorly sometimes. Great investment, but if you don't think you should do it and save the money, then get a PC brah.
Haha, I thought you had a reason for not using 'em. Meh, the biggest concern about a laptop is the heating - I've been using one for most of the last two months, it wasn't bad (and it would've been better connected to my display at my desk, etc), but it always got really warm after an hour or two. Plus, I couldn't upgrade a laptop if necessary. I'm buying a computer for at least 3 years - do you think this would be enough for that?
Other than money and laziness, no there is no reason for not using them. LOL Yeah heating does tend to be an issue with mine as well. Especially these past couple nights I have been running Order & Chaos for 4+ hours at a time. hahahaha and yeah the lack of upgrading one's lappy is a lame thing. If you are planning on keeping this for 3 years, I would definitely go with a PC. I mean the portability it nice, but a PC is cheaper, and overall performance-wise, better. I th ink it would be your best choice mate.
Haha. But is ten bucks a months that much money? Order and Chaos on computer? Mm, maybe. The last one wouldn't be good for 3 years, you think? I'm not playing the newest games or anything - mostly strategy stuff.
Hey! 10 bucks will get me roughly about 50 packages of Ramen! hahahaahahhahahahahhah Order & Chaos on the computer, yes. You can play it over FaceBook now. Look pretty good as well. Free to start playing and shit as well, and the subscription is as cheap as on the iPod. AKA Dirt freaking cheap. I play it in full screen though. I might as well be playing WoW but $1 a month vs. $14 dollars a month for a watered down (yet still equally fulfilling) version of the same game is a no brainer. Plus I got some FaceBook buds into it so it makes it that much more worth it. Check it out sometime if you're into that sort of thing (which I have a small feeling you aren't ^.^) Meh, I think it would be okay. Maybe at least 2 years. but if you aren't running anything harshly then I think you will be okay dude. Go with your gut and get what you truly want. I think you want the Samsung Lappy ^.^
(had to look up ramen) If something is that cheap, I wouldn't eat it. Must be totally shitty. >.> Doesn't sound bad.. Why would you think I'm not into that stuff? I like MMOs, but since I know that I'd easily get addicted to 'em, I tend to avoid them. :X I do. But I'd be almost out of money, and I really don't want that. >.< Options are: waiting till Christmas with it, ask for it then; or buy it soon, ask for somethuing different for Christmas (if I happen to get into playing the guitar, an electric one with some amp, probably). Hard one.
It's actually not that bad, however nutritiously, absolutely horrible for you. It's like... pure salt practically. 2 packages of ramen fill me up though, and that's roughly about .30-.40 cents. Cheap ass meal, plus it's like eating a bowl of nothing, so you lose weight. LOL I dunno. I guess I should't be surprised. I could see you playing an MMORPG over TF2. Really didn't peg you for an FPS player LOL. You should check into Order and Chaos. Only problem with that is... I dunno what server you would end up on. Right now there is only one server for the US, and I don't know about EU servers... might have to make an American FB account to play with me 0.o. But then again I only play about 8pmish-12amish my time so that would be super early for you. It is super addictive though, as with most MMORPGs. And like I said, it's free to play. The free version just restricts some of the later locations you can access and some items (which I haven't discovered what those are). $1 for month, $2 3 months, and $3 for 6 months. That's a steal. That is a really tough f*cking option. My suggestion, would be get the Electric and Amp right now, and ask for the Laptop later at Christmas. Jam your computer blues away untill Christmas time. LOL
I couldn't eat like that. :X My idea has always been 'eat whatever amount I want, but only quality stuff'. Works out pretty good. :d That would be far too early for me.. It's 00:35 here right now, and in the summer, I tend to wake up at noon. We definitely couldn't play together. :C That isn't really an option - I'm not really sure I'll like the guitar that much. Or, I might just not have the hands for it. My fingers suck for fine movement.
Trust me, I am the same exact way with everything else. I am the cook of the house, and am a pretty mean one at that. And I only use the best stuff, and finest breads, meats, spices, etc. When it comes to cheap fast food though, that isn't "Fast Food", Ramen is top notch. hahaahaha I figured as much. Still, it's totally worth checking out and to play on your own accord. It's a fun ass game on the iOS, and the fact that you can simply play it with the Unity Browser over FaceBook, is nothing short of awesomeness. So do mine, except with guitars, keyboards (both kind) and women. But it all took practice for each individual thing. Your hands will suck at first, but once you practice scales and other stuff of that nature, chords and all that, you will do just fine and you will forget all about how much your hands used to suck. ^.^
You're really weird. >.> Meh, I don't know.. WoW's graphics never seems good to me, I hate this cartoonish style. I guess O&C's are similar. Yeah, they might get better, but I'm not sure enough about that to buy an electric now. And I rhink I'll have plenty of fun with my acoustic before that. :X And about my fingers, the weird thing is, that no matter how much they suck at most things, I can type quite fast (70+ words per minute). No idea why.
