hahahaaha yeah I love that stuff.

It's all good. I FINALLY got a hold of the new Unearth album so I am giving that a once over. It's not bad... not great... but not bad.

I'm looking for some light, melodic, maybe not even metal stuff.. Any ideas?

    ^.^

Hmmmm. I will have to take a gander around. I actually don't know too much non-death oriented melodic metal (off the top of my head anyways). I got a few projects going on at work right now and I will try and search for some stuff.

However, here is one that comes to mind. I know you are no stranger to them and don't like them, but I am interested in hearing your thoughts on the song (no harsh vocals really).

(The last part of the song is my favourite... so beautiful...)

This was great, a little less catchy than what I'm looking for right now, but I really liked it. :>

Listened to the Rhapsody album yet?>.>

Awesome! That new album is chalk full of surprises. It's hardly Melodeath at all anymore, but I am fine with that. They are taking things to a whole new level that works for me.

I haven't heard the whole thing to be honest, I got to Anima Perduta and had to put it down for something at work, then completely forgot I had it until now! hahaahaha. It's great though, really good actually. But you are completely right... cheesy as all bloody hell! ahhaahaha I really like it though.

Not being melodeath can rarely hurt. >.<

Rhapsody has always been really cheesy, even surpassing Freedom Call at that. >.< It's quality music, though, that's for sure.

    I like Melodeath. :)

Yeah, try this one too. Not as good as the previous one I showed you, but still really good to me. Once again, very few spouts of harsh vocals:

Yeah definitely, I didn't bother to get their first 3 albums cause I wasn't a fan of the few songs I have heard, but I like Power of the Dragonflame and up. Had no idea about a new album till you told me though. I'm slacking on my new releases hahaahaha.

Not bad either, but is it just me, or do you also think they've gone pretty commercial with this album?

Whaaat? Their second album has Emerald Sword, their most catchy song ever. :>

O btw, got something for you

Well... they have their commercial songs. There's no mistake about that. They had to though IMO, with the absence of Jesper, and if they still wanted some sort of success I think they did have to tone it down a little. However, the entire album isn't like that though. They still have their rather righteous melodeath songs. But like I said, it's not just you. While it hurts to hear, I still thoroughly enjoyed the album.

hahaahah yeah that song is okay. It is catchy but goofy too. Then again all their stuff is goofy. But in a purely awesome way ^.^ I might have to DL their older albums just for the heck of it. I may be missing some good stuff ^.^

That there was some quality German crafted Doomish Blackish metal. I really liked that! Goofy sounding name though.

Meh, many metal bands go commercial lately (Within Temptation beign another big one), which isn't that great of a thing.

    Go for it! :>

What's your problem with their name?>.<

Yeah it's not typically a good thing at all really. In Flames is just my favourite band. They can almost do no wrong unless they went like... Pop Metal or something which would be incredibly sad. However, I don't really see that in their future hahahaha

Just a goofy sounding name is all hahaahah

Pop metal isn't always bad. DTP - Addicted is an example of that. ^^

Have I shown you the DTP - Ghost II songs that are already out?

hahahaahah for a band like in Flames to go to Pop metal, I think it would result in something god awful. ahahahaha

No you have not... yes I want to hear them now.

Haha, good idea. Ghost 2 is totally different from Ghost, especially with that part of Stand off Decon on Watch you. It reminds me more of Ki than Ghost.
