For me my top 5 are: Deconstruction Infinity Terria Accelerated Evolution Synchestra Great albums. Ghost is definitely working itself up there though. My wife loved it, just hated the flute player. She too is a flutist, and nit-picks at the way people play hahahaha she love that someone like him can incorporate flute in this kind of music though. By the way, I know you aren't at all looking for it, but if you come across the new In Flames album leak (I have heard there is one out there) PLEASSSEEEE Let me know. I hunted all night for it last night and only founs one other leaked song. The album is called Sounds of a Playground Fading.
Not a bad list. :Đ Meh, I doubt your wife is better than Kat (the flutist on the album). : DD Good that she liked it, tho. Bunch of new music coming nowadays. New Unexpect album today.
Why thank you *bows* Actually, my wife is pretty damn good... lol. She just has her own style of playing and can definitely be a harsh critic on other flute players. She just didn't like how Kat produced notes, but understand that that is just some people's styles. Oh wow really? Bad ass I gotta get my hands on that for sure. All I want right now really is that damn In Flames album.
New goal for you: make an album with your wife! I would want to hear that. >.< Haven't heard it either, too much good stuff coming out.. Here's one song tho:
hahaah dude I would love to. But my recording gear and set-up is all out of whack man. I tried recording some new material this weekend actually, and nothing was working correctly at all. It's really getting discouraging man. Really bad. Definitely. That song wasn't too bad. Seemed to be lacking in something though... like... I dunno. I guess it's cause of a 5 year gap from their last release that makes it sound so different.
Doesn't sound good at all.. What problems did you have?:| Yeah, I never liked them as much as you, but to me, the fact that it's different makes it good. : D
The main problem I have is that when I use a certain recording bus attached to USB, I can hear everything through it just fine, can play everything through it just fine. Followed all the steps, and it's more than compatible (same company products) but when I try to record or anything, it wont let me record. I hit the recording button and everything just stands still. I can't move anything, nothing. But I can hit the button over and over >.< Yeah it does sound good. I just doubt this new album will be as good as In a Flesh Aquarium ^.^ but I am going to "buy" it anyways ^.^
Weird. No solutions online or something? It's probably something ridiculously easy noone would ever think of. >.< I can always hope. : DD New Falconer in a few days too, and Pagan's Mind like a week ago. And also Alestorm. Busy week. Do you always 'buy' albums or do you actually do so, btw? :Đ
No, I am going to have to call a tech support line again or something of the sort. Not sure what to do. And I hope it is something insanely easy. Just makes absolutely no sense. I was able to record just fine one day then all the sudden, I am not. I dunno. Like I said, just disheartening. Nice! Good stuff. New Unearth next week as well, but I know you don't care for that hahahaah
Yeah it sure is Well I wouldn't say lazy, this weekend I had a 4 day weekend, but 95% of it was watching my son while my wife rested and stuff. Had to take her to the Emergency Room Sunday, and like I said just did a lot of watching my son. So I spent little time on my iPod and even less time on my laptop. =(
Not a big Sepultura fan (I think they are pretty much the foundation layers for Metalcore at its core), but some of its isnt bad. As I Lay Dying is tolerable at best.
I consider Sepultura, especially early stuff, Metalcore. As I Lay Dying's first 2 albums were really good, but they are a staple to the Metalcore scene. There are several much more talented better Metalcore bands out here. And Unearth is one of them.
I might forgive you this one time.. :x Doesn't sound like a fun weekend. Metalcore is tolerable, but I could never find any enjoyment in it. They're jist pointlessly screaming their balls off without any artistic value.
It was fun, like I said I always love spending time with my family but yeah just a tad stressful. Metalcore is great for me. Screaming their balls off indeed does make for fantastic music. LOL. But artisic value is definitely within the music and words of the music, not necessarily how it is pronounced in the vocal aspect. At least for me. Take this song for instance, fantastic words, music is great, and the major staple of Metalcore music, HARSH ass breakdowns. Terrible quality though.
To me, music either has to be fun or has to deliver powerful emotions. Metalcore does neither. Technically good is just not good enough for me. But maybe my hatred for metalcore comes ths way: metalcore is from hardcore punk, which comes from punk, and I consider the whole punk genre worthless crap. >.<
Truth be told there, punk is worthless crap, which makes it so entirely awesome to me. I love love LOVE punk music. And I mean good punk from back in the day, not now-a-days horrid pop-punk bullshit. I mean like the Misfits, old AFI, old Anti-Flag, the works. I used to be a total punk kid. Was in several punk bands (After all, it's not hard to play at all). Got into lots of punk-rock ladies ^.^
