I never really got into Kreator, I certainly cred them for being part of the founding movement of course.

I certainly give cred to the big 4, Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax, and Slayer. Though Megadeth is now a little hard to swallow because Mustaine went and got all born again christian on us. Metallica I kinda cant stomach anymore because they are a bunch of sellouts. Anthrax always has a love in my heart, even though Joey Belladonna doesnt sing for them anymore (I could not stand nor ever like that Bush guy), and Slayer. Well Slayer has remained relatively unchanged over the years (Lombardo's absences aside, and hes still bar none nearly the best metal drummer living).

But those were the old days of metal.

Back to Cannibal Corpse.

 

@Balu` Yeah I don't know why, but he is all obsessed with that album now. Posting songs from it all over his FaceBook page and what not. Kinda funny hahahah. But always a good thing.

And on the subject of Dave Navarra, he was only good in the Red Hot Chili Peppers. And I am not a huge fan of them either (though they do have some really good songs). But everything else he has touched is quite literally homo-as-f*ck.

@The_Kernal You like Warmen? As in Janne Wirman from CoB's other Project? Wow that's cool. I like a lot of their stuff, but a good majority of it does sound like HIM, and I cannot f*cking stand that band.

There only so much Alexi anyone can handle, BUT, Warmen covered Heart's song Alone and they actually did a really good job with it (Ill always be a prog (insert genre here) fan).

The CoB thing I cant stand is the stupid cover of the Spears tune Oops. It just turns my stomach.

 

That's cool dude. I actually like Alexi. Well, old Alexi. I don't really like any of the past 2-3 albums Bodom has done truthfully. They are awful. Their old stuff though was original and completely insane rife with guitar wankery and awful but great vocals hahahaha. Their Spears cover was f*cking retarded though. As was many of their covers.

So on another note. I have been completely obsessed, almost to a freakish level, with Devin Townsend's music. Like I can't stop listening to all his albums, it's almost bothering me how I hardly listen to anything else. lol

By the way, reading back through the posts a tad, I have to comment that nu-metal is totally ghey.

nu-metal fans have to own up to Limp Bizkit. That alone discredits nearly ALL of nu-metal.

 

Yes the SYL guy. But I am not a huge fan of SYL ironically. His solo stuff though, is simply amazing. Can't get enough of it.

Nu-Metal is gay, however like I said in posts several posts back, there are a few bands that could be considered "Nu-Metal" that I actually like a lot. But for the most part, the entire genre is complete bullshit. hahahaaha

 

The fact that you have to include Limp Dizkit into any metal category is sadly a mistake.

Korn I can deal with a little, some of their stuff is original sounding.

Basically any band produced by Ross Robinson have to be considered nu-metal.

And most of them blow. Alot.

 

People consider bands like System of a Down, Chimaira, Deftones, and stuff like that Nu-Metal and I love those bands (at least the old stuff from them). But yeah Limp Bizkit is complete garbage and shouldn't be under any category other than "Shit". Nuff said.

And as for Korn, I liked Life is Peachy and that's about it. lol

 

Well I think Robinson produced a couple of if not at least one of Deftones Albums. He did the same for Korn. Ross Robinson is pretty much considered the Godfather of nu-metal.

I think even to an extent Slipknot, Mudvayne, and even Mushroomhead can be considered nu-metal as well. Of course I think Slipknot sux a ton, but there are varying opinions about that too.

 

Yeah i am pretty familiar with him. Though I don't care for him much, though he did produce an At the Drive-In album and a Blood Brothers album and to which I cared much for those. He also did Cold's first album which I really dug back in the day. But none of those bands are Nu-Metal in the least hahahaah.

Don't care for any of those too. Cept Slipknot's first 2 albums. Those were cool, but at the same time terrible. I happen to like some terrible music (admittedly) haahahaha.

That alone says I like really crappy music.
