Yeah I've seen KoRn several times now and you can barely make out what the singer is singing 99% of the time.

Best bands I've seen live are Metallica, Slipknot and Slayer.

    Great shows. :)

Metallica does put on a great show, as well as Slipknot, but Slayer is most definitely one of my top 5 favourite acts to see live of all time...

    In Flames
    Rush
    Slayer
    Children of Bodom
    Iced Earth

That's my top 5 list of best bands to see live that I have seen. Great shit.

Ah, good to see you here Booch. :>> If I read well... happy birthday! :[]
Also great to see others joining the thread.. It's more than a place to spam for Booch and me. :]

As far as the discussion goes, nu-metal is awful. Just awful.

Thanks my friend! Hit the big 2-3 today (Cease the old jokes at least untill tomorrow ;))

Yeah I like it when others join in. Makes for a healthy discussion LOL

And yeah about 98% of Nu-Metal is just... f*cking terrible. There's a band here and there that is considered as such though, and I enjoy them regardless.

Alright, I hope I'll be able to. :[]

For me, there wasn't one I could enjoy. Some poppier industrial metal (like Pain) is as close as I can get.

Chimaira, Deftones, Coal Chamber, Rage Against the Machine, Dead by April and Old System of a Down can be considered "Nu-Metal" and I enjoy them all very much. But that's about the extent of it there. lol

Only know a few of them, but I doubt I'd enjoy the rest. >.<
Commercial music seems to annoy me lately.. And only a few can hit the level where it isn't annoyingly simple, but also not too complex.

Yeah I can't really see you liking a whole lot of them... expect maybe old System of a Down (Surprised you don't like it, it's really silly weird music) and Chimaira, but yeah. Probably not.

Contrary to popular belief, my beard is not inspired by the singer's ;)

Bwahahahaha! An Iced Earth fan! Fantastic! Something Wicked is my second favourite album next to Dark Saga, but I really like Burnt Offerings as well. They played literally every song I wanted them to play live when I saw them. My wife found out they were coming and totally surprised me with them one day. <3 my wife. hahahaha

That's awesome haha. Yeah my two favorite Iced Earth songs are off Wicked (Melancholy and Birth of the Wicked) so I have a soft spot for that album. :)

Well that's kind of the thing, there just isn't as much going for it musically. Which is in a way kind of why I don't listen to it hardly as much anymore, but I still enjoy it. It just fun stuff like you said! Same thing with Punk music, it's certainly not the most musically complicated shit in the world, but it's beyond fun to listen to.

Probably nothing you would like, but I found these guys this weekend. Kind of atmosperic/rock stuff. Couldn't find a good quality song, so this one is kind of quiet.

I can go on all day about my favourite Iced Earth songs, but my top 5 are:

    The Hunter (Dark Saga)
Watching Over Me (Kind of has sentimental value to me) (Something Wicked)
A Question of heaven (Dark Saga)
    Dracula (Horror Show)
    Dante's Inferno (Burnt Offerings)

Interesting Finnish Atmosphero-Metal band. Another quiet song though so watch out.
