Yeah but I like everything. LOL well I hesitate saying everything. Cause there certainly is some bands I would love to throw in a pit of firey burning pigs.

Yeah I agree. They call it "Christcore" so I go with that. The music sounds cool... but I just would rather listen to Christian Power/Prog myself.

Dubstep is the worst thing to happen to music since the Beatles. If someone had to make me pick between the 2 types of music, I would instantly bash my head into the nearest wall/ground instead.

: DDD Yeah, it's easier with you.

... or just leave religion out of music. :>

Beatles are great. I just can't see how you can compare the two. Still, I know your insane hatred for 'em. >.<
Anyway, I just can't seem to get many people to like metal stuff.. Some proggy altrock (like Aeon Spoke) is the best I can do in my class. :<

Do you know the stuff of Karl Sanders?

    Doing nothing of importance.
    Somewhere
Bloch, you get around to checking out that stuff I posted last night? You'd probably like the deathcore stuff I added at the end, especially We Are the End. I had fun walking around school telling my friends I was listening to When Children Become Sidewalks.

    Much easier ^.^

Exactly... No reason to use it in music imo. But I get the appeal. Music knows no gender, race, or religion. So why use it? I dunno.

Yeah I have this problem where like.. as soon as someone shows any remote interest in my music (or the music that I like the most) I bombard them with like everyone I listen to lol. I'm sure it's a rather annoying trait. I recently made a 3 disc compliation for a friend who wanted new music to listen to in the metal category. It was almost 5 discs, but I thought that would be overkill. Do you know how hard it is to pick out favourite songs that I think someone would like when you know over 450 bands?! LOL

"Karl Sanders" doesn't ring much of a bell, except that dude from Nile. But I don't think that's "Karl" lol but I might be wrong... not a huge fan of Nile at all. I just remember seeing a "Sanders" in Guitar World magazine a lot.

Meh, Christian or Pagan stuff isn't much of a problem for me. But satanic is definitely a dealbreaker.

Hah, well, I do some similar stuff. But I try to pick lighter, less metallish ones as a start. Aeon Spoke is awesome altrock stuff, but the main songwriter is also the one in Cynic.. so that's a stepping stone there. : D

Nope, that's the one. Don't like Nile at all, but his solo stuff is Egyptian inspired ambient/folk. Truly great relaxing stuff.

    @Somerandomdude: Tried Shining - Blackjazz? :>

I don't even care about Satanic stuff honestly. As long as it's good music, it's good for me. I don't listen to a ton of Satanic crap, pretty much just Deicide and Vital remains really. I'm sure there are others but I can't think any others at the moment. I do however listen to a lot of music that talk shit about god LOL.

Yeah it's hard converting people to metal really. I've tried with my younger sister all the time. But if we can convert her to a total Call of Duty fanatic, we can do the same with metal. ^.^

That's pretty cool, didn't know someone like him was capable of that shit, considering how much of a garbage ass band Nile is. The only thing good about that band is the drummer, and he is good. Like really good. But that's it, I won't listen to it cause it's accompanied by terrible music.

@SomeRandomDude Listened to all those songs. The Heaven Shall burn stuff is awesome, always a treat. Human Error was awesome, but hard to listen to because I absolutely HATED the sound of that drummer's snare ^.^. Oh, Sleeper was interesting considering 2 things: 1) I just heard about them from a friend who is really into Christian Deathcore and Metalcore stuff and 2) They are Christian. Not that that's a problem at all (just talking about this stuff with Balu`) I just find Christian metal bands interesting. Psyopus you have posted before, and unfortunately it's a little too noisey for me =/ Scare Don't Fear was.... kinda bad. lol. I'm not much into stuff like that... I can only listen to like... a few (hed) PE songs, and even them I am not much of a fan of:

Huge quotes suck on touch, so newpost.

Satanism is pretty much just moronic to me. Followers of other religion do what they believe is good, right, while satanisnts don't.

Meh, I still haven't given up.. but I'd be fine with them listening to altrock even. That can be enjoyable if done right.

Will you check out his solo albums, then?
Also, I haven't tried much Nile, but they just seem mediocre to me. What's this hatred? :>

TouchArcade as a whole pretty much sucks on the iPod. LOL Can't wait till they get done with their mobile version whenever that is. I'll actually post on weekends! ahahahah

Don't get me wrong, Satanism is absolutely stupid. But I don't care if it's in music that's all. Probably the stupidest religion next to the Mormon. Sorry if that offends anyone.

Keep the spirit of metal alive!! I share as often as possible. hahahaha

I'll definitely check out his solo stuff, interested to see if it's truely any good or if you're just blowing smoke. LOL I don't necessarily have hatred for them, I just think they are one of the most boring bloody metal bands on this earth. Plus every indian kid at my highschool had a damn Nile shirt on as if they were the best band in the world. Made no sense to me. Like I said, the drummer is awesome. Super fast. That's it. lol

I hope that's soon. Weekends are the only time when I can stay up till a decent time (like 2am usually). : D

Doing what I can, but I see myself listening to less and less pure metal, more experimental stuff. : D

Never seen one of those. I usually see CoB, Hammerfall and shirts like that, but saw a guy in an Opeth one, which is really rare here. :>

hahahaha yeah it would be for the better.

Yeah I find myself listening to anything strange and melodeath-ie. I mean it's my favourite Genre yeah, but I mean bands that stray away from the usual formula. I dunno I am weird. lol

Yeah when i was in school it was always a damn Nile, Distubed, Slayer, or Suffocation shirt. No one ever wore anything cool. I saw a kid, probably in Jr. High age in Wal-Mart the other day, and he was wearing a Blind Guardian shirt. I came up to him and told him he had a awesome f*cking shirt on, and I think I made him a little uncomfortable in front of his mother. LOL

Yeah, I get it. Meh, for me the thing is that after Dev's insanely layered stuff, most music seems boring. : D

Sounds like a fun story. : D I'm not a fan of band shirts though. I mean, who the hell cares what I listen to?

Leaving now, trying to get some extra sleep.. Well, gnight! And check out the Sanders stuff, and tell me what you think, before you leave. :>

hahaha I hear ya. Dev's shit is a lot of fun that's for sure.

Sleeved and Sleeveless Band shirts and New York Jets shirts are all I wear, with the exception of work, in which I wear a nifty Polo with our agency Logo on it. LOL I demand people pay attention to me and look at the things that I listen to! That just inspired me to make a shirt for myself too. I am going to get a small picture of my favourite album from every band I listen to and it's going to say "LOOK AT WHAT I LISTEN TO!!!" at the top of it. LMAO

Sleepy time she comes! Have fun! Night bro! Oh, and downloading Sander's stuff right now.

Tried once again to check out Nile's new stuff, to see if I am missing anything. I am not. However, at least they are getting a little more interesting ditching most of the Egyptian cotton metal.

So I listened to that Karl Sanders solo stuff. Listened to the album Saurian Meditation and it was okay. Not bad but okay. A little too Egyptian-ie for me, as I am not a huge fan of the Egyptial scales and such. Probably why I don't like Nile a whole lot either. But anyways, the intrumentals were great though, like I said, just not for an everyday mood for me.
