Nah, I seriously don't have talent for this crap. Anyone with musical talent has at least basic composing skills too. I don't. >.<

That's simply not true at all. When I started, I literally knew nothing about music compo or anything of the sorts. I just picked up the acoustic and started playing scales that sounded good to me (Probabaly sounded like complete detuned garbage) and I grew and grew as I picked up and learned more and more. All you need is the want to play and you can only go up from there. You are so quick to dismiss your own skill! Grrrrrr....

You KNEW what sounded good. I think that of stuff, then 15 mins later it sounds like shit. I just don't have the talent for this, DEAL WITH IT! >.<

Anyway, been listening to Townsend, Jesu and soma Zappa today. >.<

No I will not deal with it young man! I didn't know what sounded good at all! I just played what I thought sounded okay, I don't know if it really sounded good or not. I am sure if I had recorded myself then and watched it now, I would beat myself. LOL. You can experiement and see what sounds good. You just have to be patient with yourself most of all. People who doubt themselves irk me, you're never going to win. I argue with my wife about subjects like these all the time. I'm battle hardened. LOL

I've been listening to The Fall of the Leafe and Disarmonia Mundi today. :D

Well, I'm stuck at my computer with an essay to do, and a pretty crappy day. I need music. As for stuff I can give you guys...

Balu' would hate almost all of that (you might like the first one though), but I think Booch is gonna like most of it.

And for some good news: I MIGHT GET TO GO TO WARPED THIS YEAR!!! :D Apparently some of my favorites are going to be there including MOTIONLESS!!! If I don't see them, I'll be bummed.

Not even going to argue anymore. Just going to smile, nod, and walk away. LOL

Balu` showed me uneXpect last week or so, and needless to say, I am now a huge fan. They are just so... terribly chaotic and f*cking great.

That burn in silence song was pretty good... but that Confide song's vocals were bad. Also, it doesn't help that it was a Postal Service cover, as now I have the original song stuck in my god damn head (and that's not a good thing LOL) I had a friend who was really into him and I wasn't a fan lol

uneXpect... I really don't even know what to say about that stuff. It's so... insane, yet makes sense at the same time. I freaking love it.

Something about Angel Maker just makes me want to beat the crap out of someone... Insane song right there.

And I actually like Confide's vocals... It's a different style, and I'm not really shocked since it didn't seem TOO much like your sort of thing, but I thought you might enjoy it a bit. I HATE the original song too... My friend likes the Postal Service too, so I had him listen to it, and he said I ruined the original song for him. For me it's more "fixed" than "ruined" though.

Soo... got any good music for me? I could use some distraction while writing this boring as hell paper.

Somerandomdude: try songs from Shining - Blackjazz. Jazz mixed with blackish metal. Totally insane.

    Anyway, gnight guys! Insanely tired..

Composing is overrated, just turn Distortion to 12 and Wah-Wah the Saint Vitus style. Add some friends (Keyboard, E-Wind) and it just is fun.

If I hear "normal" things I am more in into a mixture of fast NWoBHM/Melodic Thrash/Speed Metal from the 80s (naturally).

Bands I am hearing much in the last months:
Holy Terror - Terror and Submission

DUDE!!! That is some SIICK stuff right there! Suffice to say, time to download all of those... As much as Dead by April is most like my style, that Desarmonia Mundi song is really catchy. And good. And that Dragonland song sounded like another band or theme song I've heard somewhere, although I just can't think of what it is right now.

Now for some more stuff for you:

Not too big a fan of the last one... too much growling (but not as bad as Mortician), but I freakin' love that album artwork.

Nah nothing at the moment, kind of hard to find stuff you like Mr. Picky-Pickerson. LOL im jk but seriously, finding stuff that you enjoy is like finding a needle in a haystack ;) I will get something though. I am trying to find more stuff like Deadsoul Tribe and Guilt Machine kinda stuff. But alas, having a difficult time finding anything good.

And yeah, I would DEFINITELY never expect you to like them at all... A Japanese Techno/Trance Melodeath band with In Flames type vocals... yeah that isn't exactly screaming out Balu` there. LOL But I actually was listening to a ton of them yesterday. Love em.

Edit: Got some friends into Mirror of Souls. They are Deathcore guys but they are hardcore Christian's and didn't know of any bands that sound like Theocracy. It's just so funny that I am completely not a Christian at all, but love some of the music.

I find tons of great stuff I like, I guess this is the area where I have talent. >.<
Still, I can't get enough of good music.

Vocals didn't bother me. But mixing techno with metal is like.. shitting on a cake.

Well that's good, and I find tons of stuff I like as well, but finding stuff for YOU from ME is hard LOL. Yeah I have like... this insatiable hunger for new (to me) music. All the time. I think my wife gets sick of me coming home every day with like 3 new bands to show her. LOL.

By the way check my Edit in my last post.

And That last thing you said seriously made me LOL. Shitting on a cake... f*cking great. While I'll admit I thought it was goofy at first, It really grew on me bad. I really like it ^.^ but I also like techno.

    : DDDD
But the thing is, most stuff I find, you'd like aswell.

Ah, that's great. Christian power metal can actually good, while Christian deathcore sounds ridiculous. Like Christian blackmetal. >.<

Meh, techno is awful imo. I just don't see the point of it. Not nearly as bad as dubstep though, and quite few friends got into that shit. -.-
