Hmm, sounds weird with hospital involved, but Pokemon Black sounds the worst of those. >.<

    Ever heard of Shining (Nor)?

Yeah my son F*CKED up his head this passed thursday. He was walking and fell and busted his head on the side of a wooden drawer. No stitches required though, thank god.

And I guess Pokemon is a generational thing. I grew up with the original Pokemon, and while the newest ones are getting a tad rediculous, I have not missed one generation of Pokemon game since the first ones came out for the original gameboy (Blue/Red). They are, simply put, my favourite RPGs ever. EVER.

No I have not. Worth a look?

Ouch. Walking is a hard thing! : D
    He's fine now, right?

    Yeah, I guess that's true. :>

Definitely! They started out as a jazz band, but now they play some sort of insane, jazz metal. Song from their latest album:

They remind me a bit of Meshuggah, but lighter...

Yeah but he is definitely getting the hang of it. And yeah he is doing great!

Hmmmmm. You got me there. I actually didn't enjoy that too much >.< But that kind of goes without saying, I don't much care for Meshuggah either lol. Interesting to say the least.

    : DD

Well, not a fan of it either, but it's totally unique.

    What's your take on Ulver?

    Yup, unique for sure hahaha.

Ulver is ok. I listened to mega early stuff and mega latter stuff, and I like the latter better. Nice ambientish stuff.

You must listen to the Themes from William Blake's (forgot full title cause it's so damn long) album. Metal mixed with ambient and dnb. Interesting, definitely.

Ah, been in a mood lately for guitar playing, but lazy to get string/then string the guitar. >.<

    I shall do so! =D

Yeah dude I wrote some more stuff this weekend, and also tried to get protools working and failed again. Finally putting aside time this Friday to actually call tech support and get help with it. I HAVE to get it working.

Almost recorded me doing an acoustic of Victoria's Secret too. But I didn't. Kind of embarrassed of my singing but oh well. I'll do it sometime this week. hahahahah

    Must. Hear. That.

Anyway, how does your whole writing process go?

My writing process is really easy actually, once you figure it out. My music never really follows a simple forumla... like "Intro, Verse, Bridge, Chorus, Verse, Chorus, Bridge, Outro" or anything. It's always jumbled like a mad man making music on meth.

Contrary to popular belief, I usually write the drums on Beatmaker 2 first. Simple drums though, like Hi-Hat, Snare and Footbass (no toms or anything right off the bat) then I write a guitar riff that I want to suit the drums I made. I edit the drums then if something doesn't sound right, or if the guitar riff calls for more drums/different beat/faster or slower BPM etc. I do this for an entire song first. Then I layer upon layer the rest of the shit needed (Bass, Extra Guitars, Keys, Vocals, Extra Drums etc.). But as far as the formula for the song structure itself, it could be anything. It's rather sporatic but it usually includes an intro and at least a few verses. I dunno man it's all f*cked up in my head hahaahaha

    Hmm.. sounds interesting.
Starting with drums sounds insanely weird to me, though.. Somehow, drum is the least importent part of music for me, I doubt I'd even miss it in most songs..

Mm, can't get myself to buy strings. Blah. xd

Well for me, the bass and drums hold the song together (even if drums are absent in what I want to do, I at least have to have some kind of closed high-hat/click or something to keep a beat (Metronomes help as well). But if you have good bass and drums the rest pretty much falls into place. Bass isn't even all the necessary but I HAVE to have stable drums. That's why I use a drum machine, because it's insanely easy to program and keep track of. Then I can f*ck around with guitar riffs and such that sound good, and experiement out on things. Sometimes I can make a decent sounding song in an hour, sometimes I have to work on a song for days. It really just depends on my mood, what I am feeling, what sounds good, and if I have any alcohol in me (Alcohol + Me Playing music = awesome. Alcohol + Me making music = bad)

Hahah. I probably wouldn't care it there wasn't any bass or drums in a song either. >.<

I'd probably approach the whole thing totally differently. No idea how, though. Will never know. :>

The only reason I know about them is they were one of my random purchases. I like going into a music store once or twice a month and buying a random metal album. ;)

    35 bucks? What the ****?

I mean, for 10 sets that's very little. Do these last a fair amount of time?

Yeah I always buy in sets of ten when it comes to guitar strings. I change them at least once every 2 months (though an avid player should change them once a month.)

They last a very long time though. The clarity, sound, brightness and tone lasts a long time, and I have never had them break on me (but like I said, I change them pretty often). You can go like 6 months with these bad boys on and they will still last a while. I think they have the most gorgeous sound money can buy.

Sounds fine.. Will see if I can get some like this nearby.

So how do you think I should start getting back into playing? My plan was starting with some Dev songs (stuff like Ih-Ah and Terminal, so easy ones); but would using open C be any bad for starters?
