He's actually got quite a vocal range, both in Harsh and Clean. He was just practically forced to use core-vocals with the guitarist and drummer, because they didn't want anything else. Those two were really pushy when it came to style. It was their way or no way. Chasing rockstar dreams and shit. That's why I left. He left because he was no longer having any fun. He wanted to do stuff his own way. Yeah I think she will ironically. She's into weird music. No I do not, however, I can ask my little brother. He is mega into shit like that for the PC and probably knows of a couple decent free ones.
Well, seems like a good reason to leave. : D Hahah. It's a bit too weird for me though. >.< Alright, sounds good. :> Btw, how can one even check his vocal range? >.<
Damn good reason to leave. There's always goin gto be times of stress here and there in a band, especially when it comes to recording, howerver if you constantly not having fun, and are not even contributing any style of your own, and you want to. There's no reason to stay. Really? It's perfect for me that's for sure. Well, Athony (my vocalist) has some CD that you can warm-up with that has severaly octaves to warm up with. I'm sure you can find something on the appstore, or even podcasts that help with warm-ups.
Hope I'll never experience with that. Probably won't cause I suck at making music. >.< Hmm, sounds good. Too bad my voice is totally crappy. Seriously. : D
Well if you suck at making music and your vocals suck, the only way to go is improvement right? It's absolutely never too late to learn, and start practicing. I was once terrible at everything, and I learned slowly by teaching myself. I should be way better than I am now, and had I took real professional lessons, I probably would be a hell of a lot better. You gotta start somewhere mate I believe in Balu`!!!
I would honestly start with learning how to play guitar. Learning the simple chords, and notes, scales and such will help you get a better understanding of music a whole. Then from there you can learn to sing a long with the chords (whether it's singing to the exact key as the chords you play, or just free styling). But definitely guitar will help you at least learn the fundamentals of music, notes, scales and such. Are there people in your area that offer lessons? There is definitely no shame in starting right away, that is, if you can afford it.
No idea about lessons, wouldn't take them if could. Damn pride gets in the way of stuff like that. >.> Yeah, guitar is a good start I guess, but an electric one would be better and that's expensive. /everytime I see an acoustic guitar, the first thought that pops into my head is "Let's play some bluegrass music!"/
First off, cut the pride bullshit! The last thing you want is to learn music and have a big head on your shoulders. Sure you m ay be good, but people will hate you because you are a dick. LOL It's one thing to be proud of yourself for accomplishing things, it's a completely different story when you let it get in the way of actually learning things. (sorry for the tough love <3) Second off, if you don't want to take lessons in person, there are several sites, even youtube videos, that can teach you the same thing as if being there in person. It's justa little less personal. But if that's your thing then go for it. Thrid off, I would definitely start with an acoustic guitar. The frets are much more harder to press down, thus giving you a more realistic action feel to making chords. Sure it's a little more tough, but once you get the hang of them, they are absolutely simple as shit to do on an electric guitar. But I couldn't tell you how to shrug the "Let's play some blue-grass" feel for acoustics, but I can assure you, of all the music I can play, and of all the music I listen to, Blue-Grass is most certainly at the bottom of that chain. LOL There are plenty of other types of genres and styles you can get into. And you know that! And lastly, you have to constantly remind yourself: You gotta crawl before you walk. You aren't going to sound amazing right off the bat, it's going to take several weeks/months/even years before you get really really good. Once the basics are tackled, you can only go up from there.
Actually, I seriously doubt that I need a teacher. I just want to have fun. I'm not saying I'm completely talentless, but I just don't have enough motivation to do anthing.. Not that, it's just that most stuff I listen to uses electric stuff. Also, bluegrass is kinda fun. >.<
Well good, I didn't need a teacher and I can play decently. It's not absolutely necessary! It's just a good starting point. Even a simple music book will help. Time to get motivated sonny-boy! They are kind of expensive, but you can cop a Les Paul Jr. for like $100 bucks. They don't sound bad, and you can work on saving up to get a better one when you get better. Blue-Grass is fun, especially with a Banjo. I had a great grandfather who was a god on the Fiddle and Banjo and taught me some stuff. He passed away about 6 years ago and I got to play Stairway to Heaven by Led Zep (even though he ws an older guy, he loved classic rock) at his wake on the Banjo. It sounded so cool... hahahaha.
But what kind of motivation could I get? I mean, for most people, just the fun of playing is enough, but my laziness is.. insane. >.< Hah, sounds interesting. I want to hear that! NOW!
Well if you can't get motivation from the fun of learning how to play, I might have to suggest meth or something. LOL I'm f*cking kidding. But seriously. Get off your ass and learn how to play, or booch is coming for you. Only I didn't play it near as fast.
Sounds good. You might want to bring a guitar when you're coming for me. >.< Hah, this sounds definitely interesting. No records of your version?:<
You got it. LOL I'm positive there are. At least like 3 video cameras were there. Unfortunately they were very distant relatives, and if I remember correctly, they were the older video cameras with the minitapes, and I have no clue how to convert those to a format that would play on the computer. >.< I can ask my grandmother though, she might be able to get ahold of it. I am kind of interested in it myself now, just to see how bad I sucked back then LOL
But I dunno how! lol like I said though, I'll talk to my grandmother, she might at least be able to contact someone with the tape of that wake. None what so ever, I've been totally hooked on uneXpect. Like completely. Speaking of, I played them to my wife and it took her a couple songs to digest what was going on, but after that she said she really liked them, and claimed she has DEFINITELY never heard of anything like that. I concur.
Meant after that. I've got time. Really good things take time. : DDD Hah, it isn't even that good. >.<
If you think it's going to be really good, you're in for severe disappointment. LOL Oh my god it is! Dude this shit is really incredible I can't even begin to explain. It's so chaotic and fun. There is so much going on and I love every little intrument and vocalization they do. It's a blast. I downloaded their older album and it's pretty damn good too. Just not as good as "In a Flesh Aquarium". Can't wait for their newest album coming out this year. I have another awesome album to look forward too! *thumbs up*
Hah, I guess recommending it was worth it. I'm just not that into totally chaotic stuff (well, except Ants :>>), DSO is about the limit for me.
