Hmmm not a fan of that vocal style either sometimes, depends on who uses it and how. Most of the time it's annoying though. I will check them out regardless anyways.

Some random dickhole on FaceBook got mad at me for saying that I wish In Flames sounded like they used to back in the day. Claiming that I don't deserve to listen to them or even call myself a fan because all bands evolve and I should appriciate it. First off, I do like their newer stuff. I just love their old shit 100 times more. Second of all, just because a favourite band of mine evolves DOES NOT mean I have to like it. If I don't like it, then I don't like it and I am not going to listen to it. What a shitty perspective on music. Sorry had to vent.

Dude, I love Cynic! Gotta give credit to my friend for telling me about them and BtBaM.

And @Booch, I really want to, but you don't know the kinda crap I'd get for that. Musically, I hate my family. A lot.

Aaand I still don't like BtBaM. Core vocals are awful. >.>

@Balu` Cynic isn't bad, the vocals are meh. Not bad instrumentals though.

@SomeRandomDude You have heard of Fleshgod Apocalypse right?

Pretty much agreed. The stuff that bothers me most is that he has a great voice if it isn't disorted.

Btw, have you heard that Barlow is out of IE?

Yeah it makes no sense why he would do that to himself... who knows.

Yeah I actually just read that shit today. Retiring for good. Again. LOL. Sucks ass man... I really like him but at least I got to see them one last time before he left again. I just hope the replacement isn't disappointing. Maybe they'll bring back Tim Owens hahahaha.

Meh, music is still enjoyable. : D

Bringing Owens back would be more than disappointing. I'm hoping for some unknown talent.

No kidding. I he was decent (Iced Earth has had some bad vocalists...) but not what Iced Earth needs. I am hoping for some new blood too. Someone to shine and make Iced Earth whole again. After Barlow rips my heart out of my chest.

    This is how I feel:

Fleshgod Apocalypse is actually pretty sick! I came across it while looking for random related videos and it popped up. Gotta love that kinda stuff.

Yeah they are allright. There was one particular part in the song that really sounded good, but the rest was just so-so.

BY THE WAY..... I listened to TDoG by Sonata.... and I don't... *ahem*... I don't like it at all.

I'm actually lying it wasn't too bad. Just not near as good as their other stuff...

It did have some good stuff, but it was overly layered. He isn't Hansi to be able to do that well. >.>
Also, there was basically no power metal influence left. :/

YES. That is what I noticed big time, way too much layering for someone of his stature. But yeah the absence of Power Metal and the Shift to Proggy stuff was a little disheartening but it wasn't terrible. I probably won't listen to it much though, but it's on my iPod. Cause I have the space. lol

Unia was prog. This is more symhonicish stuff. Somehow it could've been great but they screwed up. The orchestral disk is interestimg though.

Comepletely forgot about Unia. Gotta get it. And I take back the so-so comment about Reckoning Night. I gave it a once over again and it's grown on me. It's pretty good.
