Again, another surprise there. I heard them on Tap Tap (where I stick to basically rock/metal only), and thought they were pretty good. In fact, I've heard a lot of music from video games, like Pig Destroyer for example. Here's some more good stuff:
I have a whitechapel shirt with that album cover on it. I saw them live with DevilDriver. They are... simply put, ****ing fantastic deathcore.
Man, I hate you! I'd kill to see something like that live! But yeah, no kidding man. Some of the best deathcore (again, I might be confused since I'm awful at putting songs into genres) I've ever heard.
I love Cattle Decap! I actually feel kinda bad for not mentioning it haha. Humanure and onwards are all killer albums.
Wats up - I saw mention of Swedish death metal early in this thread and wanted to post up this awesome but shitty quality vid. Very cool band, DEATH BREATH. I love the death n roll gritty filthy garage type sound....I am digging this stuff alot lately but also get into stuff like Opeth, Dying Fetus, Electric Wizard, Immortal, Isis, Kreator, Exodus, Last Days Of Humanity, Carnage, etc..
Definitely. Check out All Shall Perish too if you get the chance. Yeah I had a friend who was all into the whole vegan scene and was all about them. I happen to think vegans are a bunch of pussies but they can make some gnarley deathgrind shit.
Yeah that album "Price of Existence" is one of my favourite albums of all time. So fast and angry and makes some good points to boot.
I'll second that one. Even just the cover and title alone make a great point. I also checked out the lyrics to "The Day of Justice", and they again make the same awesome point. Btw, you ever check out Heaven Shall Burn? Really good band.
Yup. It sucks what we have gotten ourselves into as humans. I mean advanced technology is one of the greatest accomplishments of humanity but the fact that we are all working ourselves to death just to get these things is... well killing us. I know first hand how hard it's getting lol.
Yeah man, I'm with you on that, but I found a different interpretation of the whole thing. I saw it more as working day in and day out for the man, just trying to earn the almighty dollar and keep us going. Basically, this ends up having us work to death, which it seems at times that people are here to do. Cynical, but a great point.
Oh yeah that's what the song is about, I am just talking about in general what we as humans are constantly getting ourselves into and feeling hopeless as shit struggling day by day to get things we want that we don't need.
Ah, yeah, then I definitely see your point on that one. It's killing me... I want to actually do something with my life, but the moment you try to experiment or go a little off path, everything goes wrong, everything screws you up, not to mention that work/school never leaves time for such things. There's always too many confines, whether it be work, money, time, or otherwise. Such a bummer.
heres a few i dont think have been brought up and im way into their are so many more but don want some huge post taking up to much space
I've seen Hank III and Vital Remains before too. (though not in the same show) I actually got to meet and hang out with Tony Lazaro (the only remaining member of the band) back in 2006 when Glenn Benton was singing for em. That was a pretty brutal show.
im pretty sure glenn still sings with them only on the albums though. but if you ever get a chance to see the locust live its a must see it is jaw dropping to say the least.
Keep the videos coming people. I haven't watched a single one of them yet 'cause my connection is crap and I'm always downloading demos and stuff, so eventually I'm gonna make a day of it and go through everything in this topic
Ahhh you and your poor internet connection. How I don't miss my old connection But yeah this thread has provided me with several new listening pleasures.
