Think the Claw Unit's defense rating was lowered. This defense rating is possibly hidden like the damage and each unit has different defense ratings. That might explain why a Mars Cadre will die by 4 bazooka shots by the W.Bazooka and Tar Man takes like 10, even though the Tar Man only has a 1000 hp advantage.

And with your point with the Trevor monkey, its true, if the Trevor did what the Hunter walker did and had the same hp (Which will never happen) it would be devastating. I found out that Hi-Do, Slug Flyer, Karn, Shoe is pretty effective at taking down Hunter Walkers.

*P.S Joseph, I paired up with you on one match on 2v2 tonight, that was a good game, even though we won pretty quickly. Hopefully we can randomly pair up again!

Yeah there must be hidden ratings, like how suicide biker explodes robot morden in one hit and does like 3 Times damage on base hp. I'm still convinced Large caterpillar defense rating takes a nosedive or it loses about 500 to 1000hp whenever he does a dash attack. Plus I've started dubbing sarubia pm as 'minikana ' since defensively it's more effective for half the cost!

On a sidenote I've tried but most of slug fliers bullets miss Hunter walker on higher maps. His body's hitbox is ridiculously small!

my own opinion about defense is the hp itself(just my opinion! :) ), all units gets hit the same without any dmg reduction kind of defense like in some of the games i played before..(probably im wrong in this one)

i get that some units will turn invincible once they receive a certain amount of dmg too, thats also a factor but yeah defense rating is tricky, how does it work exactly? i could only speculate at the moment

btw nice to be partnered with you hyun,:)
i play rarely nowadays but still, till we meet again!

My response on your comment: R shobu is is easy to kill. It's similar to j.king, in that for high atk, they're balanced by a weak defense, which is why r. R-shobu fires slowly. Idk about Leona, but i do know that if your stats are maxed, you can afflict.major damage in all the campaign stages.
Hunter is not invincible, but yes, very hard to hit. I use both slug flyer and hunter, and a good thing to remember is that its attack ONLY activates when it passes a unit. it cant hit airplanes unless there's a ground unit perfectly under it. IMO it loses its power late game, but very good early game as a support unit.

The only reason claw was OP was because you got a tank for 100 ap that consistently blocks the enemy from advancing+ an op special which IIRC ripped through a fresh unit of 2500 hp like butter, usually wearing down your foe unless they adapted. I never used claw, but I feel the same reason MK2 was top tier for a few updates was its faster prod rate. Claw IS the same unit, in fact, it received buffs throughout the updates. Now that its been moved to slow prod. rate, you actually have to use your brain to try and win lol

As for Trevor monkey.... yea, what waste of 300 medals that was, not even that good if youre a beginner

What I'm suggesting is that every unit has an armor value, like most games. Example: Tarman has an armor value of 3 and Mars Carde 1. I got this feeling since SNK mentioned this on the Claw Unit, Zombie Fio, and Nokana Mk.2 nerf. It mentions the following:
    ■CLAW UNIT
・RECOVERY FRAMES FOR LONG RANGE ATTACK:INCREASE
    ・DEFENSE POWER:DOWN
At first I thought it was a HP nerf, but I realized that the Claw Unit still had the same HP before the nerf. Only thing that would explain why the Claw Unit is so easy shot down now is probably lowering of the Claw Unit's original armor value. Its all speculation however.

I think you're probably referring to the defence power you get from freeing POWs. So not speculation I think..

Um there is no pow bonus that says anything about Defense Power. What my speculation was it has an armor value not a HP value, like most RTS units.

Did some tests on wifi VS and imo the most impressive unit is surprisingly Mars Mecha!

Very Good AP:HP ratio (300:12500 at Lv30), second fastest production time for >10000HP unit (just 2s slower than airborne melty honey) ,no stun back etc..

But most importanly, it is BIG!

Many thinks a unit being big is a disadvantage, and indeed it was. Giant units always means taking more bullets and dies faster. However, in the recent upgrade, things changed. The introduction of overhead fire means no units are safe just from a wall in front of it. Black Hound and Mortars with projectile hit, while Shobu's and the new Hunter Walker drop bombs directly over you.

The most effective solution is by far Airborne Melty Honey, with a all-round stats and a high position to absorb hit from air. The only problem is that it cannot block straight ground attacks. So Mars Mecha does a great job to fill
out that space with just a little bit weaker stats.

Together they form a very strong barrier. Even hunter walker has no way to penetrate. Every time I can stack at least 3 Tarman+ 2 Patrol Robot well shielded from even MSA.

So apparently, some players has run into the "The Keesi" Boss unit on Wi-Fi battles when it wasn't even announced.

At least I thought it was some good photoshop until the third picture, its bad quality actually helps (at least to me) show its not "fake". So I'm guessing we're getting the Keesi next update, and I'm actually kinda hyped for it. Any speculations what this unit will be? I'm gonna guess its gonna act like the Hi-Do, although its flying higher than Hi-Do. The special I'm gonna guess somehow ends with the Keesi returning the player's base. All I know is, this thing is probably gonna wreck mortar squads and things that hide underneath Melty Honey's for sure.

Recovery frames is similar to cooldown, as in it will take longer or shorter for it to commence a new action depeding on the factor, in this case, frames(like how film has 26frames per second, but in the context of a video game) This sounds to me like a nerf.

Maybe because i know SNK as a fighting game company first, but when balancing moves of a character, they use frames to elongate or shorten something specific of a char. In this case, adding frames makes it more sluggish since theyre not doing it for smoother art, but for RECOVERY of the charaCter. Frames is just how theyre going to do it with. This is a more common practice than you may think, or at least it is in my experience. "Defense pwr down" may just be a layman's way of interpretting R.Frames. hope this helps

Really didn't mean to add the recovery frames as part of the speculation. A longer recovery still doesn't explain why its so much easier to shoot the Claw Unit down from a distance, hence why I thought each unit has an armor value. It's also plausible for an armor value to exist, as SNK does not tell us the exact damage and other crucial information. I've been wanting to run some tests with Karn and Iron Nokana,to test this theory, as they both have the same HP. This test would include sending just Di-Cokka Ver.P.M against the Karn and Iron Nokana Mk II, and count how many shots it takes to kill them. If it takes the same amount of shots to kill both units, that should conclude there is no armor value, if it doesn't the conclusion is that an armor value exists, however we don't know by how much.

in my humble opinion, you should get a couple units that have over 10k hp. Your deck could use some big guns

Claw to me was always a nuissance, his power came from spammability, but now that's gone, so he's just another meelee unit. As far as armor goes, Ive just always seen it as health only, plus the occasional stun tbat prevents yo from taking lethal damage in one blow. they do leave a lot if specifics out, probably for the better, since itll lower the chance of them nerfing all our fave units due to people picking only the best :p

P.S. I also ran into you on 1v1. Gg Hyun :) Lets try to run into each other again

Well, just a theory ya know, doesn't matter much if it doesn't exist. Don't remember the match too well, playing well too many matches on the weekend, however good game, I probably would have lost, I have been a losing streak lately. Was my icon the Heidern with an one star rank, cause I've seen a different Hyunwoo Choi with the same rank and different icon.
