I just cycled through every stage of all 3 worlds and got the medals for every one of em again without having to do anything xD

Edit: just did it for the green time trial map too so don't forget about that one, nearly 200 medals for nothing lol

Saru V's normal attack is a rolling cannon ball (similar to original Saru)

Its special attack is 2 rolling cannon balls (similar to original Saru) PLUS three morden robot's style bazooka shots fired by the dude on top (i dont think the bazooka can be fired at aerials tho..., i.e. no anti-air capability)

btw, you can check it out yourself in the Shop :p

Hey guys, I'm new to this thread, although I've been a silent lurker for quite a while. This game is amazing and I love 2v2, although lately I've been trying the 1v1 quite a bit. Here is my main deck I use to crush through 85% of competition in both 2v2 and 1v1.

    Robot Morden
    Girida-O Ver.P.M
Commander (Can be switched around with Patrol bots, but imo Commanders are better)
    R-Shobu
    Shoe
    Karn
    Cyborg Allen
    Metal Rear
    Jupiter King
    Donald Morden

This deck is meant as a stally deck, although for a stall deck, its still VERY strong early-mid game. The main stay of the early-mid game is the Girida-O Ver. P.M and Robot Morden, comboed with the R-Shobu when I can afford too. I'll post the whole strategy if anyone would like it.

Public Service Announcement - Leona Rush

Leona-only rushes are an absolutely low-rank strategy. Yes, I'm sure you've beaten tons and tons of people with just a single Leona, but it simply isn't good.

Leona supported by specific units is always better against non-bad decks.

Solo Leona rush only works against specific, badly-constructed decks. You need to learn to recognize decks that have a competent early game, and not solo-rush Leona vs. them.

For example, Utan + Claw or Donkey kills Leona, and now you're way behind. Instead of blindly committing to starting the match off badly, recognize the decks that are competent, and swap your strategy.

I don't know much about 2v2, but 1v1 that deck is far too slow. You'll find as you begin to face higher ranks that decks with any kind of early game will crush you, as Robot Morden has extremely weak damage early.

Patrol Robot is a premiere unit, and as you start facing more competent decks you'll find it becomes absolutely mandatory against decks that can stack capably.

If I could choose only one at this point, I would choose Slug Flyer. If you have Slug Flyer and the opponent only has R-Shobu, you come out way ahead since you can shoot theirs down for lots of AP. Slug Flyer's only disadvantage to R-Shobu is its slower production rate, which only matters in the end-game.

Using both is completely valid, too.

I use both currently but I find Slug Flyer to be the better unit as well. Both work great in tandem but I'm always experimenting with different decks. I'm trying to construct a non-conventional deck that can compete with the standard decks that everyone seems to use.

Surprisely, the early game is still strong, thanks to the Girida-O Ver.P.M. IMO that Girida-O is REALLY underrated and is strong against typical early game units such as the Claw Unit, Donkey Slug, and Utan. The thing that makes it so strong is even though the production for the Girida-O is listed as slow, its basically a normal production unit and when knockbacked, it actually moves back really far, allowing other Girida-O PM and Robot Mordens to catch up to turn into a death-ball. Also, when the Girida-O ver PM first came out, I agree it wasn't usable since the AP cost was 210. However, now that the AP cost for thing is 180, its actually usable. I've won games against players that has over 1k+ win (in 1v1 before) with just spamming Robot Morden, Girida-O PM, Commander and R-Shobu, and thats not the whole point of this deck, it's meant to stall until you could bring in the heavies to overwhelm your opponent.
I prefer the commander over patrol bot right now, since the hover units summoned by the Commander technically could be called to have unlimited range (just the matter of summoning range).

Girida-O PM is certainly a better substitution to Robot Morden as of 1.10.
Commander is a good unit in 1v1 but I won't recommend it in 2v2 as he will definitely be killed by MSA. Even Hover units are slightly better.

But I saw the major problem of this deck is the lacking of multi-level defense. All units have a similar shooting range, that means this deck is vulnerable to Claw, Donkey, JKing, Patrol Robots, and R-Shobu/Slug Flyer. I would see the first 30game-seconds always being a hard time.

By the way I run both commander and patrol robot. Very fun to see when robot laser tears off the front line defenses and hover units' missiles trampled through the enemy army

i find sarubia pm version quite good.. he has no flinch armor and he can push back units(good vs claw, leona rush, or anything thats short ranged unit that can be flinched).. the downside is he is slow, costs tons of ap(but reasonable i think)..and if matched against units with no flinch armor, its damage output is low..

the ceiling snail has potential, if the ceiling is high enough(hard to hit)..a mid tier starter unit but falls short because of slow prod rate and costs 120ap,ineffective on mid-late game.. if SNK changes its prod rate he is quite useful(sort of a spamming bomber type perhaps?)

havent tried the drill slug ver2 on combat, is he good?

    @jesuschrysler
hey bro, i sent you a message to clear things up.. sorry for the confusion :)

Yeah, that a slight problem with the deck, its definitely stronger and overwhelming when it comes late game. Surprisely, the only unit you mentioned above I have problems are with R-Shobu, while I can actually overwhelm the Claw and Donkey combo. I actually use Robot Morden as an early shield for my Girida-Os and to use his damage to finish off the damaged units by the Girida-O.

BTW, I was wondering what is a good late game shield? I was thinking about replacing Shoe with the Iron Nokana MK.2. Although now with the Shoe and Karn HP boost I'm not sure.

For tanker, the effectiveness ranked as follow IMO

MK II, Iron Nokana / Karn, Shoe

No offense, but to be honest, Shoe is out of the league even with the boost (at least Karn has better stats than it overall).

Declaration: I do not own Iron Nokana, Karn and Shoe, but I am planning to buy Iron Nokana and Shoe when have more medal, but definitely not Shoe.

Morden Robot vs. Girdia-O VPM vs. Donkey Slug

    Hi guys,

Since ppl have been talking about how good Girdia-O VPM is, I have finally decided to postpone my purchase of Metal Rear and Karn, and spend the medals on Girdia-O VPM instead. To my surprise, I found out it can be a good substitute for Morden Robot and Donkey Slug (which I had already bought)

To make my point clearer, I have attached a stats comparison table focusing on those three units. Please take a look while reading my analysis below.

    http://forums.toucharcade.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=80016&stc=1&d=1414597178

    vs. Morden Robot, Girdia-O VPM:
    - Has slightly higher HP/AP ratio (not significant point on its own, but can be crucial in mid game)
    - Deals a lot more damage with its normal attack in a given time, which is crucial in early game
    - will be knocked back (i.e. cannot be used as tanker like Morden Robot, but in other forum, ppl note that during its knockback, it retreats to a much further distance than most other unit does, e.g. donkey slug, and this gives G-O VPM some buffer time to recharge for a second round of special attack.)

    vs. Donkey Slug, Girdia-O VPM:
    - has same productino CD than Donkey Slug, but the HP of the unit produced is significantly higher (crucial for mid and late game)
    - shorter normal and special attack range than Donkey Slug
    - deals much more damage with its special attack in a given time
    - lacks anti-air capability, which apparently Donkey Slug has

Conclusion: To me, I think G-O VPM definitely outperforms Morden Robot in many ways except the tanker role. This is fair enough though, given Morden Robot is a free unit while G-O VPM costs 150+30 medals. Perhaps both could be used at the same time (just as Hyun suggested) in which Morden Robot will be used in early stage as tanker to stall enough AP before calling out G-O VPM to help for backup fire.

I have not tried this new unit out yet in the WIFI battlefield. Will do so later and update you more.

This is the deck I've been using now that 1.10's stabilized. I think my hard-counters in 1.9 were due to Slug Flyer. It's incredibly good, like R-Shobu was/is.

    - Claw Unit
    - Utan
    - Donkey Slug
    - Morden Robot
    - Patrol Bot
    - Slug Flyer
    - R-Shobu
    - Black Hound
    - Iron Nokana Mk II
    - Jupiter King

I haven't felt hard-countered since I settled on this. Losses at this point come down to player skill.

This deck will hard-counter nearly any deck without Utan and Claw except on large maps. The late-game is also incredibly strong and hard-counters anything without enough tank or DPS to face Slug Flyer + R-Shobu + Iron Nokana + Morden Robot.

You can actually swap Donkey Slug for Tar Man to improve the late-game somewhat, but you sacrifice a ton of early-game for it, and probably auto-lose to Donkey + Utan + Claw on tiny maps.

Morden Robot is the best late-game shield in the game, with its massive HP/Production time plus its zombie state, with spammability for more likely MSA blocks.

Next follow Aguensterm, Iron Nokana, then Iron Nokana Mk. II in that order, but Iron Nokana Mk. II is generally the better choice because of its longer range, even though regular Nokana provides better HP/Production ratio. Augensterm isn't as good because it doesn't get to use its attack/special as much as Nokanas.

Shoe and Karn are not really tanks because of their too-slow production times and their tendency to stay too far back to tank properly.

However for your deck (ignoring the early game problem which will cripple you later) I'd highly recommend more consistent DPS, like Slug Flyer.

Great pre-analysis, Chigga. Look forward to seeing your results. Sorry you had to postpone units for it. I would have liked to see your take on Metal Rear.

Note that Girada-O PM has a better HP/production ratio than Morden Robot with base stats. However, I suspect Morden Robot's zombie state is not included in its HP value. That's likely another several hundred or 1000 HP in favor of Morden Robot.

I did an HP/production spreadsheet last patch, and had Morden Robot down at 5000 HP. I suspect his stats got changed previously...

I can´t believe, that you win 85% of your games using this deck. It looks like it is very strong late game. But if your enemy sends out Leona at the very beginning of the match, you will be completely destroyed, because you won´t even be able to send out a single unit before Leona starts attacking your base.

Maybe if your teammate in 2v2 defends your base at the beginning you can start sending out your units little bit later but in 1v1 if the enemy sees your deck he will try to rush you at the beginning ofnthe match.

Or do your matches look different?

Thanks Master42 for your note on Morden Robot's extra HP in its after-death zombie state. I have revised the stats for Morden Robot's under the assumption that it has 800 extra HP in zombie state.

    http://forums.toucharcade.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=80020&stc=1&d=1414603367

Under the revised stats, Morden Robot's does overwhelm G-O VPM in both HP/AP and HP/Production ratio, the only thing that G-O fares better is its normal attack (which i think is crucial in early game).

Revised conclusion: Together with Morden Robot's anti-knockback and anti-stun ability... all I can say is that if this Free unit were to be sold at a medal cost, I would priced it at 180 (on par with Claw Unit) or even 200 (on par with R-Shobu and Special Force Riders)... u get what I mean *hint hint*

Funny thing in 1v1 is, even when they do have Leona, most (Not all, some actually do rush her) underestimate the speed of the deck and allow me to pop a Girida-O and Robot Morden before they get anything out. Another thing that decides a win or loss is the map size, lets say if the map is a short one, I'll most likely lose, but there are occasions when I beat them. Med to Long maps I'm able to stabilize, even if I take some damage.

Thanks for that criticism, I do like it when people gives out their opinions. I've never used the Shoe/Karn combo as a tanking unit, but rather a dps unit in late game. But Shoe is definitely weaker than Karn and I needed another beefy unit to guard my long range bosses/commanders/patrol bots, so I thought a nonknockback boss unit as the Iron Nokana MK2 would work as it has decent hp and firepower.
Like I said, my early game is surprisingly strong. On paper it definitely isn't great, I admit, but in gameplay it works decently.
Also, do you recommend Slug Flyer over R-Shobu? Cuz I like the R-Shobu having a 100 less ap cost to help support my early-mid game.

Chigga, I would actually recommend summoning the Girida-O first then the Morden Bot, as if there is an early game unit (Claw, Donkey, Utan, etc), the Girida-O would be able to take and deal enough damage and be knocked back to allow the Morden Bot to step in and soak the damage and finish the unit off.

Edit: Sorry for the multiple response, still haven't gotten a hold of using the Multi quotes

whats this about girida o pm version rave in the forums.. in curiousity and recommendation i did buy it last night.. at first i was sceptical about it.. it has a well balanced hp/ap/damage/abilities...

my deck is all about stall and i find it a good replacement for my former damage dealer... sarubia pm version syncronizes well with the girida o pm version, sarubia pm pushes back/absorbs damage/no flinch and girida o pm damages and spawn fast for a medium sized unit..

during a MSA, in worst case scenarios.. my sarubia will be the first to be destroyed and girida o will be pushed back, which in case a benefit because my second wave of units will have enough time to join the previous girida o and repeat the cycle...
