2v2 has been desyncing quite a lot, doing this as well. People not sending out units, or your base is being injured without seeing anything hitting it.

I wish that was the case. It happened with me twice against the same opponent. He won without touching my base and the same happened after a REMATCH!

The hacker's name is in the screenshot.

I gave up playing. It's not fun anymore.

I posted a Multiplayer FAQ for MSD on GameFaqs. Any comments/suggestions are welcome. I'm particularly looking for more information about matches between the absolute best players.

    http://www.gamefaqs.com/iphone/792649-metal-slug-defense/faqs/70251

How do you know this for certain?

Regarding hacking, there's really no reason to complain. All stats are stored locally on your phone. You could take a hex editor and make your victories 9999 and losses 0, if you knew what to edit. It's not like hacking is throwing off any global ladder, or online rankings, or anything. It literally affects data only on your phone, and their phone, that will be erased if the game is uninstalled.

If it really bothers you that much, you can literally just force-quit the app, even as "mission failed" shows up, and it won't even record your loss on your personal stats. (You can do this for any wi-fi match, in fact.)

Ok the dude called "rave master" is a super lagger. I was dominating him the entire game and then he starts to lag batshit crazy and I lost.

I'm sure it's not me because my house got the latest "fiber optic" connecting that is suppose to run fast as hell.

Today I faced the most explicit hacker ever.
1 second of fight, there was a nokana just ahead my base, with a samurai plane and a claw unit.

That was an 2 x 2 battle. Even with that me and my partner managed to fight and we was going to win. Until he decided that he would definitively win. And he launched 3 combos of 5 msa one after another!! 15 msa one after another! So I quit the game.

ATTENTION: all credit for the information below belongs to me.

Ok guys so this is my all winning deck that beat " Hu 199" ( among the top 10 in the game)and everyone other high ranking players that I've played.

( before you start thinking that I'm a cocky douche bag, read the whole post first.)

Ver. 1.7.1 current version as of 10/4/14

I am confident that this deck will succeed in 1.8 as well but I MIGHT make some adjustment such as adding commander or any other unit that has gotten buffed enough to be considered competitive.

    1. Tar man

    2. Hazmat soldier

    3. Utan

    4. Donkey slug

    5. Claw unit

    6. Fio( clone)

    7. Patrol robot

    8. R Shobu

    9.Augensterm

    10. Iron nokana MK2

All units fully upgraded, base fully upgraded.

    all POW bonus unlocked.

Deck owner : big chOppas( Game Center name)
    ______________________________________

NOTE: only reason I'm posting this is because IMO this is the best deck out there, and I'd like to take credit for making it.( and all other decks similar to it)

Below is a list of things I'd like to explain.
( I don't care if you don't care, I want to explain it anyway.)

Incase some people say these things my explanation will be right below it.

    1. This is obvious deck that pros don't want to use because it is overpowered.

Out of all the players I played I have NEVER seen anyone with this deck. So I'm pretty sure this is is not an "obvious" deck. It's my own original deck.
And it is NOT overpowered you WILL lose if you just spam the units.

    2. I just got lucky.

Out of question because i won too many times for it to be luck

    3. I'm a pay to win winner.

1st of I alI actually got most of my units from tapjoy( "free metals) option and only spent a little real life money on medals.

2nd of all i've beat MANY high ranking players and I'm pretty sure a person who commits enough time as to have 10-20+ million points would of spent at least 30 dollars on this game........

3rd of, evidence of the high ranking players that I've played spending real life money is really right in front of you....... The units that they have alone is not possible to obtain without spending real life cash (unless they used tapjoy which is still spending metals , you just get it free.)

DISCLAIMER: I am in no way saying that "I'm the best player in game" or anything of that sort, beating a high ranking player does not really mean anything ABSOLUTELY because rank does not ABSOLUTLY indicate skill level in any way. But since there is no other way of knowing someone's skill level,I am using rank to assume their skill level.

Now if someone went on to make/or happen to have a deck DESIGNED to counter mine( if such a deck even exists )then most likely I will probably lose. But then they would lose all the other games since they built their deck solely to counter mine and others don't have my deck. Unless they have a better "all around" deck....... but as of right now I haven't met that person yet.

There may be deck out there in the future or even as of right now that could destroy my deck in like 5 seconds.......God knows what kinds of decks are out there........ All I'm saying is that according MY OWN experience this deck seems to be the best " all around" deck out there as of 10/4/14.

There you go ....... I said it.......

    LET THE COMPETITION BEGIN.

    _____________________________________

EDIT: I have had some people challenge me but I have to say, I sometimes lose because of lost of morale.( have not lost yet though) ( I do 5 times worst than I normally play when the match is premeditated, I don't know why it just is. My body gets all shaky and stuff and I just can't take the insane amount of stress going on mentally ........

NOTE: I probably can play effectively 100% but it will only be once a day. But keep in mind Sometimes I can't play well

What I'm trying to say is .... I will accept challenges but if I go on a losing streak it may be because I am being overwhelmed mentally, not because of my deck.

( I have no reason to lie/ make excuse about this because if my deck sucks there is no point in saying it is good.)

But I'm 100% confident that this deck in the hands of someone who has a strong iron tempered mind will win 98% of the time.

the additional hp boost is invicible, if you notice your units hp on unit customization doesnt rise, but on battle (sortie and pvp) it takes more hits for them to be killed..

i probably played alot on 2v2 since it came and i can hold my own against 2decent but not 2strong players at the same time, then suddenly i had an urge to play competitive again on 1v1..i had decent success on it but i got totally outclassed by the strong ones..
some units are very good on 1v1 but weak on 2v2 and vice versa, anytips on starter units on 1v1 (except utan)..im finding a utan alternative, if not, im gonna buy him if i got some spare medals

Dang i'm curious about that deck( you keep saying it's like REALLY good, in guessing your strategy is kinda like a some sort of long range knock back plan....., rider could pose a threat in like mid-late game )

lol can you send me a game invite?

We could probably make a even better deck than both of ours if we share some of our ideas.

In my opinion there is no such thing as a best deck. Every deck in the game can be countered with a different deck. That's the beauty of the game.

    Ancestry

    Hulu

    Crunchy roll

    Videos stripe

    Mylife.

    Think there's a few more.

Definitely the makings of a top-tier deck. I bet you auto-win the vast majority of your matches.

When 1.8.0 hits I recommend trying out Commander (stays further back in 1.8) and Morden Robot. Morden Robot is probably strictly superior to Tar Man with the rest of that deck.

I don't like Augensterm so much. What about something like J.King, Protogunner, Giant Caterpillar, or Iron Nokona (regular)?

I want to try Clone Fio(Zombie). How much do you feel she adds to the deck? How many vomit attacks does it take to kill enemy Patrol Robots?

I'd love to challenge you but I'm on Android. :)

It's nice to feel that, but at a high level there's very little that will effectively "hard-counter" other things, given two full decks. Yes stuff like RLM will kill all the enemy Utan with one shot, but the Utan deck can still win given the rest of its slots.

The reality is all the "best" decks probably have about ~6-7 of the same slots, and the remaining slots only make a small difference if they're units that are "good enough". Once you hit decks like that, it comes down to who can use special attacks and MSAs better, and AP spending. There won't be units you can just drop into the deck that can hard-counter the ~6-7 unit core.

Hey guys I finally picked up this game after getting the new iphone and was wondering if there are any quick tips for beginners? To my credit and read some of the earlier thread posts but I couldn't go through all 100 pages.. Also which are the best units to aim for to save up for medals (I haven't bought any yet)?

    Thanks a lot!

ATTENTION: important information below. All credit for the information below belong to me.

Hmmmm, I'm curious what rank and how many points do you have?

I thank you for praising my deck. But I think it would be considered constructive criticism to say that you should think more in depth of things( be beware I mean no offense in anyway, if anything i am trying to get you better at this game)

( if you do take offense just try to understand my intentions)
    _____________________________________

Ok here are some tips from what I have observed while playing this game

    1. Think of it this way, the first 6 unit slots( the ones you can see without moving your finger) is going to be your main Army. So because it is going to be your main army, the most rational thing to do is to be aware of Prod speed, and AP cost in these slots. Of course the units's overall effectiveness goes without saying.
( units in these slots should NOT have more than 200 AP)

    2. Now the the remaining 4 unit slots are for mid- late game use( it is important to know that you should start deploying these when you are at your 3rd to 4th AP upgrades, boss units may have to be delayed to even 5th- 6th upgrade)but as to everything there are exceptions depending on your opponent. These troops consist of 200+ AP units - all the way to boss units.

( yes I know I have patrol robot on my 7th slot but that is because I deeply feel the need for that unit.)

    3. I have other tips but I can't think of them right now.

NOTE: these tips are what I consider "basic" deck building information( as of this current version) I'm surprise that I couldn't find any of it online and the game has been out for a long time already.

Competition is going to get rough after people read this lol.

    _______________________________________

Ok now to answer your questions.

    1. Yea I think commander would be a great unit if he stood further back, but I'm still trying to figure out where to put him( if i use him)

2.i believe I heard morden robot is 140 AP. That would really destroy the speed of my deck if it replaced Tar man( although I don't know his ability yet so I don't know for sure how effective he is yet)

    3. Ok this is what lead me to think you needed to think more in depth of things.

Like what the person said I think his name was "Watashi" (couple pages before this one )

" augersterm is the best wall in the game"

Jupiter king - IMO this unit is pretty much useless UNLESS you are at max AP upgrade and have enough time to spam this unit. ( from MY experience games don't go that long)

Protogunner - ok contrary to what "watashi" said IMO I think this unit is also useless. It is because he costs 350 AP and has the exact same abilities has SV001 E. When it dies Ralph comes out , but I'm sure you all know Ralph usually dies in like 3seconds . ( SV001 E, SV001 R, or even the original SV001 is a better choice than this)

Giant catipillar- although it's special is really good, from my experience from using this is that it dies too fast. I know health is definitely a factor in this, but armor may also be one. Nothing is for certain since it doesn't say so everything is based on experience.

Another thing I'd like to mention is Speed, the slow speed of the giant catipillar + the long range puts it at insanely disadvantage in almost every game

(I known it's special lets him travel but it does not charge fast enough for it to be effective (in speed)

Iron nokana ( original)- this unit is inferior to the MK2 version without saying . Deciding factors are AP cost and special.

Ok now finally, I been waiting to get to this one CLONE(FIO) this is unit deserves the gold medal Like the R Shobu this unit is a staple in ANY deck.

However, this units has a different purpose.

    Let me ask you this,

" have you ever been overwhelmed by agroup of Utans and you can't hit them because there is a claw unit in front"?

With clone fio's special, assure you this problem will become non existent.

Now you might be thinking " zombie Marco" does the exact same thing. This is where you are wrong. And the reason is simple, the AP cost of zombie Marco makes the unit LITERALLY ineffective.

Not a lot of good players that I've played have clone FIO, I know revealing this is going to give me more competition. But since I'm taking credit for it, it's fair game.

I'm not sure how many vomit blast it take to kill patrol robot. I have done it befor and I think it is 1 not too sure though.( not that it really matters since I have a different counter to patrol robot)
