Metal Slug Defense (by SNK Playmore) I figure the exp is based on some kind of formula that factors in your current rank and exp, but... I have no idea about the formula's nuances. Digressing a bit, I just played through a long set with D-Tron23 (iOS). A strong check against my 80AP rush strategy is the Hopper Mecha. Combined with an Ohumein / Caterpillar defensive core, nearly every one of our matches were pushed into end game J.King titan punch ups. We were both playing "opening rush with an eye towards late-game development" decks, it was a real blast! v1.4.4 may be all about the "balanced deck": Stall loses to Small Rush, Small Rush loses to Medium Rush, Medium Rush loses to Stall... You need a little of everything to do well.
Anyone on Android add me. I made a Google Hangouts chat with some really good Android users to set up dueling, practice and testing. [email protected]
good insight.. about the counter hopper mecha you faced.. whats his follow up with his hopper? my recent deck revolves around hoppermecha (which i got a lot of practice recently)with ,snail and sam tank...and some infantries... when i face some one with a light weight machinegun infantry my chances of winning depends on if he can kill my first hopper or if i can detonate mine first..
Metal Slug Defense (by SNK Playmore) D-Tron23's opening lineup seems to be: Hopper Mecha LV Armor Di-Cokka Clark SV-001 (forgot which one) Ohumein Conga (Brown) Giant Caterpillar Hopper and LV get released together, with Clark following behind. Hopper has a surprising amount of HP; it's difficult to kill before the detonation when there's an escort, and Clark can usually get his SAB special out while I'm trying to whittle down the initial LV. Lonely Hoppers don't seem to be very useful, but they make effective walls for protecting your other units and tanking MSAs.
as a general tip to all, something I do is I try to pay attention to opponents who have higher win totals than myself (I just cracked 700 wins). For my own learning and strategy I usually capture a screenshot of my opponents deck before the match begins. If I lose, I look back on the deck that beat me and I consider how that happened. I understand that no deck is unbeatable, but this simple strategy has helped me a lot. I currently have a win ratio of about 8:1. Some important units I have in my deck are: Iron ISO - so important for defense and support. Jupiter King/Donald Morden - needed for long games, especially Morden for breaking ties/close games with his special Elephant Slug - special is incredibly important for pushing back enemies and damaging multiple units. I'm always considering how to make my deck stronger and my current build has been working out real well. Something that also factors into my deck building is the satisfaction I get out of not currently using the Big Snail, the Giant Caterpillar or the Hopper Mecha. I know they're popular choices, which is why I enjoy defeating people who use them. Granted, I'm guilty of previously using the Trevor/Samurai Tank combo. I'd like to add people for friendly matches and such, but I'm not sure how it works. Any advice?
Metal Slug Defense (by SNK Playmore) Ah, I can't help you much, then. iOS MSD does its matchmaking via GameCenter, and works by sending a frustratingly brief notification to your buddy that they have to press before it disappears in 2-3 seconds.
You have to go into Google+ and add people through it with an gmail address. You can add me "[email protected]" We have a small group of really good players in a chat. See you soon!
What do you use instead of caterpillar? I find it to be so essential; hp / ap ratio is great and the msa blocking / line pushing special is critical
The most comparable unit to the Caterpillar would be Ohumein-Conga. They're similarly-priced wall units with charging attacks. Although Ohumein doesn't have a knickknack effect, his melee can stun-lock a J.King... By himself.
another question regarding friendly matches (android and iOS) if someone invites you to a friendly match, where do you usualy wait for the invite to appear? 1.inside the friendly match lobby? (where you can see your friends) 2.wait on the screen where you see the friendly match and rank match? 3.if none of the above please specify... this friendly match making is becoming a pain in the @$$ any help would be greatly appreciated oh btw..what type of internet connection do you have when you play msd pvp?
Metal Slug Defense (by SNK Playmore) On iOS, you can wait anywhere. The "challenge" notification will send you to MSD when pressed, and MSD will bring a prompt that asks if you want to go to the player match. I play at home and out. My home Wi-Fi has a ping of 28ms (for dat Skullgirls), and my iPhone's 4G reports a ping of around 120ms when I'm in World of Tanks.
Since v1.0, I would say Elephant Slug. While it lacks the raw tanking ability of the Mars Mecha, its Flamethrower special is a gigantic knockback attack with a huge range, and nets a guaranteed stun against J.King units. I find that many of my late-game matches are decided by who can control their opponent's J.King more effectively. But if you mean, "units in the 400AP range," then Giant Caterpillar (380AP) by a landslide. You won't find any other unit that pushes lines and blocks your infantry and ISOs like this guy, and the damage on his Stampede is out of this world crazy.
Thanks! I always felt that the elephant wasn't that useful with the exception of his special. Yeah, the Caterpillar is a must in every deck!
