What's the best way to beat 1. rush decks 2. rush decks on small maps? My current deck: 1. Big Snail 2. Gunner 3. Iron Iso 4. Sarubia 5. Metal Claw Rush decks with lots of infantry like Natives are giving me problems. Usually, if I can hold out until the first MSA, I can get a lot of free AP and I'll win. The main problem is that the infantry seem to do so much damage with their spread attacks and special abilities. Advice?
That depends--are you on a jailbroken iPhone? You can download a tweak called "display recorder" for that. If you're not jailbroken, you'll have to record the iPhone's screen with a separate camera, or buy Apple's $40 HDMI dongle and attach the phone to a capture card.
bro, maybe his units ap's are only 100?? lol how many jking is that? and the morden haha, its quite unusual to see 2 of them
I've got mixed feelings as I love the Metal Slug games and art/animation style, but this sort of feels like it's just using old assets.
It IS using old assets. What's going to decide whether you want this game is whether you want "a competent but grindy defense game with active PVP and frequent updates, but that reuses preexisting art and animation assets."
The old assets are sort of what appeals to me in that I'm seeing different characters from different games in the series blast each other in good old-fashioned Metal Slug style. I would definitely be surprised if they use some unused sprites like this guy: http://metalslug.wikia.com/wiki/Sand_Simon But anyways they haven't really gotten repetitive with the units yet and they update rather quickly. Would really like a better way to organize one's units though, my roster is huge and it takes awhile to find the unit I want to mess with...
haha i think hopper mecha is more annoying than that hover units lol. i can defeat those players with hover units after changing 1 of my unit with mecha. but still practising on releasing its special coz sometimes i press it wrongly then it will explode halfway along the battle range
Metal Slug Defense (by SNK Playmore) iOS, v1.4.4 Hey guys. I've been fiddling with a rush deck after getting absolutely trashed by one by a fellow with over 4,000 wins--it looks like the "lightweight army of machineguns" strategy from v1.2 is back! I present to you... The 80AP Mechanized Infantry Deck: Gunner Unit LV Armor Samurai Tanks Slugnoid Iron ISO Giant Caterpillar Elephant Slug / Mars Mecha Iron Nokana Mk.II / Metal Rear Jupiter King Hover Unit 3AP: Gunner, LV, SamTanks, ISO, AP Up 4AP: Same + Slugnoid and Caterpillar, AP Up 5AP: Same + Early J.King, AP Up 6AP: Everything The deck's strength is it's huge HP:AP ratio from the 80AP walking mech suits. In v1.2, I ran a SamTank / Trevor / Clark / Ostrich Slug / SV Camel machine gun rush, and its weakness was always the low HP and getting bombed by the first MSA. This deck has 2200-3200HP for each 80AP unit, and the Gunner's close range tends to soak MSAs without destroying the entire rush. Use Hover Unit if you see a Caterpillar or an Ohumein-Conga. Iron ISO support has been standard since v1.3, and it's my personal belief that J.King + Elephant is still needed for forcing yourself through the mid-game to avoid an End-Game Titan Punch-Up. You can probably sub in Shoe / Karn / Iron Nokana / Morden for a few of the heavies, since this is primarily a rush deck. Have fun. EDIT: Additional points: - Against infantry-based rush decks, don't use your MSA right away. Let your opponent kill your Gunner, and save your MSA until any Gunners or Snails are out of the way, and you can roll over a few guys. - Hover Unit is labelled as a single-target unit, but it's totally a spread unit. So it's quite powerful if you can line up your opponent's front line, say after a Caterpillar Rush or after you remove a key tanking unit. - If you have a Gunner or two out, you can totally use their specials to try and snipe Slug Copter, Flying Tara, Samurai Plane, and UFO out of the sky.
that dreaded strategy is back i see, its also(in a certain degree) a counter to some hopper mecha varient deck if the enemy user has trevor/slugnoid/+some bullet firing unit..
I finally manage to earn 5mil exp.. 1platinum star baby! but my eyes kinda hurt a little... \(*-*)/ hey guys... if an opponent receives 0 exp after battle did he quit mid game? I sometimes loose to these people and try to rematch but end up disconnect..
I think if your opponent only gains 0 exp, or if they revert to having 0 matches won, they probably disconnected.
so that why.. hmmm, how about those player you defeat but end up having more exp than you? my case is that i often lose first game but during rematches when i win they gain more or slightly more exp
