Just met Neo Chang with 7K+ wins again just now ... first game was totally overrun by his almost perfect deck because I tried to hard to outrun him at early game ... I changed in second game to a more defensive and precise AP calculation strategy and able to clear his super barraging attack and hold on to it. Finally due to some luck and advantage on good timing with caterpillar and MSA ... able to clear one of his wave and go all out to his base. And follows by a sweet revenge victory.
If only there is such hack by now, I would have lose every single game ... the only hack that significant is some players able to hack for unlimited medals and build up whatever they wanted with the cost of an ugly profile with all "99999999" in appearance ... i dare to admit those to beaten me, beaten me fair and square with their nice strategy, management and skill
I know the J.King is cheap and I can kill it with the caterpillar + Gunner but what I mean was that the enemy can spawn all these units: The J.King + Morden + shoe/karn + Nokanas + Allen in a single turn while I only have a caterpillar + Gunner in the field.
I think I'm going to update my gamefaqs guide to look more detailed and to fix typos. Would anyone have something to say or stuff to contribute?
He's saying two things: 1. He doesn't believe there is a significant in-match hacking problem, otherwise he would see hackers often in the gold / platinum medal ranks. So far, I agree with this sentiment. 2. The actually common hack is save editing / infinite medals, so that people have the best units and a tell-tale 9999999 ranking points. He sees this a lot, but can't really complain about losing to legitimate units, even if they were obtained illegitimately.
VentusEX and dabossofu complain is hacking by way of fast ap buildup... and some hacks incorporate 999999 exp resulting in high ranking opponents with the possibility of having many medals like what Spiel Chow is trying to say... its all hacking but with different degrees Emuchu kind of explained it already(he beat me to it ) so i just upload some evidence
Seriously...Do you even read my past posts? Thanks joseph1234 for explaining my complain with the hackers, by the way haven't seen any of these since the last mini-patch, maybe it was bug?
hmmm, im not quite sure either if its a bug or not but, the 5sec all heavy rush happened to me after the patch.. (ver 1.4.2),the 9999xp thing ..it appears to me very rarely but it still there.. The thing about those heavy rush fast ap build up hackers is that I treet them as Boss type players... although I cant win against them , I try to last as long as possible with that much odds. im curious of my deck too if it fares well, possibly fixing some holes to my strategy... sadly my best efforts lasted only 10 secs to the last hacker i faced.. and if im in a bad mood i can just end the game(pressing home button) to end the match after he blatantly releases its all heavies...
hey thats very nice man... btw what kind of help do you need? unit description? unit recomendation? hmmm unit combinations? maybe synergies? personal favorites and most disliked units? strategies on pvp? but the strategies part can become obsolete quite fast(2weeks span) because of how often MSD is updated.. But I'll be glad to help you out..
Hi, I was planning on correcting some misspelling and formatting errors and adding in some trivia for each unit since I started playing since Metal Slug 1. A shame that Metal Slug Database is gone; it was a most excellent website. Everyone is encouraged to post some synergies and tips. I'll try to keep the guide up to date and with everyone's help we can keep pace with the updates. I must say, SNK Playmore is putting out new content at a very fast rate. I think there should be better ways of organizing the units though, a player who has purchased every unit has a VERY crowded Deck Selection.
im gonna share my progress as of now... after a week i collected enough medals to buy gunner unit(90medals)..this is my line up 1.native(new) 2.snail 3.gunner unit(new) 4.sv 001 exp(semi new) 5.caterpillar 6.iron iso 7.iron nokama mk2 8.elephant 9.jking 10.morden feel free to use some of these,or just use it as a reference..you could also suggest some counters to it too(its not unbeatable but its tricky) my strats..(my bait and switch tactic) 1.up ap 1 time (the following ap upgrades will be decided during the gameplay, your discretion) 2.release 1 native(use skill as soon as possible if enemy is in range) why? I have 2..well maybe 3 reasons 1st is to see how my opponents react(basically my scout), 2nd is if he did nothing..its a free hit(in case of a stalemate later i will have an early advantage) and 3rd if he doesnt have any counters for it.. i will rush him... (but do not over commit,4 or 5 is enough to ensure mini stun effect) 4th is to force him/her to dispatch a unit really early..disrupting their rythm and overall opening strat..(1st step for #3 below) has advantage over sam tanks, because it arcs. native will kill it effortless.. has disadvantage over clark, gunner unit(on close range) snails, hopper mecha, flying tara, ralf and to native also(if youre released him slower)..basically anything that has high hp and spread attacks..(you must have atleast 4-5 native to ensure a kill) 3.ap buildup...release snail with sv 001 exp.. try to compress enemies by acivating snails special and halt their push(basically try to keep snail alive as long as possible)(if snail dies keep releasing til MSA is ready) ..if enemy is clustered then and only then use MSA for full effectiveness.. 4.followed by caterpillar+snail+gunner unit combo(the 3 works well with each other..) 5.ap buildup.. etc etc...(at this point its free for all now, base on own discretion) my unit combos(i usually send them out in pairs or by teams) 1.elephant +nokama mk2=elephant pushes enemies back while mk2 releases special..by at the time enemies walk forward the missiles are been fired(clash) 2.snail+caterpillar+gunner unit=snail walks faster of the three(lol ) so it absorbs some damage based on special..caterpillar protects gunner unit so he can attack or use special after caterillar uses its ramming special.. 3.morden just goes forward tanking damage..no strategies(but if you feel opponents is also a late gamer(many heavies) try to release him as soon as possible to prevent stalemate. 4.jking is versatile..can be paired by any unit..(prefered units that has less range to him so he cannot be bashed, results in a delay of attack) things I learned...you can counter an incoming hover units attacks by a elephants special(must be shot before they drop missiles)
ok, i am gonna apologize for showing disbelief ... honestly i haven't face such opponents yet .. i mean the ap stackup hacker ... is this on android platform? i am gonna stop playing myself too if i gonna meet them often
Excellent, I'll work on my guide a bit. Looks like the official facebook page has begun doing their one mission a day posting. After they go through the new missions they'll probably post another update preview. At that rate, we can expect another update before August. I wonder which new units will show up?
and a piece of thought... some missions in the new missions(time trial and time survival) are crazy hard... not all players has good insight about the best units to use(specialy newbies) and gets easily frustrated.. making a guide for all 15missions will be helpful
hey be positive man... its true of what you said but..its also alot more satisfying beating them too..that mini rush of adrenaline after defeating one(having that sense of accomplishment is worth it )
its 4:27am here in my area... and i kind of wokeup early (because its raining again)... im gonna try a couple of matches before going to sleep again... im making a time log if what specific time some moster players and hackers shows up... possibly determining their encounter rate
I can help with that, when I have some spare time I play these missions for fun (plus I get to test some new units too). I'll re-play the 15 missions and write some tactics later. EDIT: Someone just uploaded a play list with all the 15 missions to youtube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIKmWJ3dnMX0YDoXzgRY4pWJ1G-xa_5GA
That's not true, new units benefits everyone Everyone needs to adjust to new strategies and create new decks using old units, just look at the Sarubia, the hopper mecha and the Di-cokka, the new meta is using old and free units. And with new patches we get more medals via missions/stages/daily rewards. I'm happy with the new units and hope they implement a lot more
