I guess time for me to step in. The Giant Caterpillar is a 'special unit', as the damage tester and the person running the Metal Slug Defence Unit Spreadsheet that some of you may know about, The Giant Caterpillar is able to one hit the 3-1-1 Base AND the Other World 3-2-1 Base. I've tested this about give or take 10 updates ago so there is no way there has been a damage buff of any kind. I've done this test ever since Joseph and a few others brought it to my attention. The reason why you cannot replicate this is because the Giant Caterpillar is 'special' unit like I said, but how? The reason is, the Caterpillar hits several times within it's single charge attack. You cannot replicate the same damage is because you only managed to just touch the base at the end of the special. If you brought the caterpillar all the way to the front of the base, you will literally one hit it. I have a gif to show it. According to the file name, I made this gif on the 13th of June, so it's been there for quite a long time. In conclusion, the Giant Caterpillar only has a maximum effect on melee ranged and non-flinching units unless it's lucky enough to use it's special twice, which is highly unlikely.
Those new units look good. Thanks for the upload. I think we're at the point now where they won't release anymore "big" units that are any bigger than 20,000 HP (stock). This way the game is kept on a more even turf for all the newbies who decide to join in on the action. Smart move, SNK. Smart move!
I've actually come across hints that there at least two more boss units about to come out soon, though it beats me as to whether they'll be playable. After that, I can only imagine there'll be yet more.
I love units with piercing attack (Iron ISO, All nokanas, Elephants, Ring Laser, etc). Big Shiee is a massive unit that throw many, many laser balls. PROs: -Massive damage EVERYWHERE. -Massive HP. 55k maxed up (to 35) CONs: -Unit is the sluggish I ever seen. It moves very, very slowly. If the map is big, expect all your units to stay way upfront before the Big Shiee appears. It's like the cavalry in movies. Only arrive in the end. -Both Gigants don't flinch when attacked. I was expecting the same with such massive unit but it's not. At least it stays way behind so you can hope a MSA or some explosion doesn't send Big Shiee even more behind. -Special. Don't know how strong it is but it takes ages to attack. Just a single missile. It's a melee attack. As for the NFL units, not going to buy them. One throws a useless basketball, the other does a sprint attack (like Ralph) and a special that takes a while and it is not invincible (likely die before you attack), The other one has a special that jumps a lot (tested in mission against wasps so I don't know how it applies against other units). I'll wait and see if they use it in PvP games. As for now, I upgraded the units I use and bought the Big Shiee. What's your impressions? EDIT: During PvP I realized my black wall cat was dying much faster. It was nerfed. Now it has 2750HP (max). Now it dies before It can be useful. It was my favorite unit! ####!
I found it quite stupid that in the missions stage, we get the 3 new sports characters and the Big Shiee, and they struggle to beat the Sandmarine. I mean, they are doing a VERY POOR JOB in trying to market these units for us to buy if they make them perform that badly!
^^ That's the problem with all missions. You can barely test a unit. Only playing in PvP IMO. Red Tarma got nerfed too. Now it takes a while longer to charge special. It bothers me how SNK change units and we have no idea what was changed.
To be fair, the design goal of many of the missions seems to be to teach players exactly what certain units can do. Making the missions easy circumvents that goal; they cost a minimal amount of sortie points to play, so they still don't take all that long to beat.

Great! Guys, I wanna share a battle that almost got me killed. He opened with Smasher who makes difficult to advance, Mai who runs fast, Red Ring Laser (dangerous when close to your base), King to counter my Big John missiles and the stronger Zombie (vomit). From the screenshot you can see how close I was from being decimated. Wish I could play a rematch but I wouldn't be able to save the video. Quality sucks but that's the only option I have since I'm on iOS (non jailbreak). https://vid.me/5E3j
What are you trying to say though? To me it seems as if you're complaining that this guy is cheating, but it seems like a legitimate deck send-out to me. Also I notice it's taking you quite a while to use your special when your deck units start glowing blue - why is this?
I wasn't complaining he was cheating. I was just describing his deck strategy. As for the specials I didn't use: The first unit has a special that takes a while to charge and likely receives a hit. Wasn't useful in the beginning. At 0:40 I could use Ring Red Laser special but I was concentrating of fixing Big John before getting attacked. If you don't fix it properly in the beginning, you lose. After at 0:44 I did the mistake of using the RRL special after a single normal ring. Doing that, it attacked only the smasher, since the laser rings was pointing up. Big John special is useless IMO. At 1:20 I used a special. The boxer wouldn't advance past the vomit zombie (when It fell). So I used the special to attack the Red Ring Laser. At 1:40 I used a Red Ring Laser to attack the Blue Hi-Do. It was better than attacking the Slug Armor.
Whats with all the cheaters in this game? Half the game are filled with cheaters. The hack i noticed: -Fast AP Regen -Reduce cool-down of Specials attack -Reduce cool-down of unit productions Boss units. -Spamming 5 of the same units Whats pathetic some try to hide they cheating in the beginning and when you about to overwhelm and win them they start mass producing 2 of the same units. Funny enough 90% of the cheaters i encountered are from south America and spanish.
Silly question, but have you upgraded all your "home" bonuses, and released all POWs? Your cooldowns won't compare to other players if you haven't. I'm not saying there aren't cheaters out there, but it's usually (not always, but usually) pretty blatant when you see them.
Yes everything , also im currently 900 wins 100 loss in pvp 1v1. The amount of cheaters you encounter in this game is outstanding. I guess the dev are not doing anything about it.. The high rank try to hide they cheating but as soon you about to overwhelm them, they pop several of the same units at the same time.
In the first versions of the game I noticed adversaries spamming units twice, sending MSA much faster than me among other things but looking back, it was more like connection problems. I rarely see any kind of problem that could not be due to bad connection. Spamming units happen only when I play vs a computer online. I've played against top 10-rank players (I even uploaded here some videos) and I never felt I was getting cheated on. I'm on iOS so I guess it makes a lot of difference. Don't doubt it's a completely different story on Android.
Those stats without cheating or excessive medal buying is (almost) impossible to get. Let me tell you why; even if you have a good deck, it will not work the next, or the update after that. You always need new units to make a stand out deck. Even if you play a lot, its extremly difficult to get that much medals by playing. With just playing 1 vs 1 I'd say impossible. On top with all the games you lost against cheaters..
