Just like that "Backup & Restore", I don't really know if it's in yours, if it's not I read of an app "Helium" that's pretty good.
lol - yeah but this time I'm not losing interest just because the updates are taking too long, it's just not fresh anymore. I mean when you think about it, it's pretty much the same thing over and over again just with new units. The concept remains the same. I suppose new events etc are cool but there needs to be more done.
Well, for me the thing that kept me playing after I had all POWs and had S's on all maps was Wi-Fi Vs. Guess it's the same than Team Fortress 2, a game I have almost 1500 hours in. Start playing, try all the classes, all the maps, all the weapons, all the gamemodes and starts to get repetitive, update comes out, new weapons, new maps and maybe a new gamemode (Without counting the obvious cosmetics). And so it repeats, once you're used to it you probably think it'll get boring quickly, but that doesn't seem to be the case for me, and that's probably for the simple fact that being Pvp, anything could happen, your enemy could have a really weird loadout/deck or playstyle. So there's always gonna be some sort of variation. Just watch some of KHU KDH videos. Of course that doesn't quit the fact that it can get really repetitive, but that doesn't quit the fact that it's entertaining either.
Is it possible to save the data just by copy pasting the snk folder? If so which parent folders should I copy..??
Not sure about that, I'd download an app for that just in case. That option is just for transfering your data to other devices, it doesn't work for backing up your data as it deletes it in the device as soon as it's uploaded.
The idea is that you first use that cloud icon on your old phone to upload (which'll delete it from the phone), then use it on the new one to download it. Not really a process I can recommend, since if something goes wrong, you'll potentially lose your save completely. So assuming you haven't already managed to delete the save off your old phone, Helium should do the job. Here are some guides. If you're rooted, all you really need to do is start the game once on your new device, then close it and copy across \data\data\com.snkplaymore.android003\test.dat from the old phone. Make sure the permissions / ownership match up and you're set. If the save is no longer on your old phone, then all you can do is try to contact MSD's support team ([email protected]) and hope they can sort out the mess.
I can't find the answer easily. I played MSD long time ago on android, but now I started from scratch on IOS. Event is a new thing. Now I can unlock Gigant unit, but what about previous events? Can I unlock older event units? (Morden Ver. Di Cokka, Regular Army Helicopter etc...)
You can NEVER get them now(unless you uninstall and reinstall an older MSD ver with the older events)!
... and that's a lot harder under iOS, because even free apps are wrapped up in DRM. Your device won't install them unless they're downloaded through iTunes using your Apple ID, and Apple isn't going to give you those older versions anymore. There are ways around this through jailbreaking, but even then you'd be hard pressed to find downloads for old versions of any given app. I suspect SNK will eventually start releasing the event units into the medal store... but who knows?
A bit of a bummer, but that is ok, since I unlocked Slug Gigant Another quick question. Is there any incentive to s-rank the levels in event area? Do they give free medals or new units? Some levels on higher difficulties are impossible for me right now. (especially the rebel giant)
S-ranking all stages in a given area grants three medals. This goes for all areas in all worlds, including the gigant event world. Most areas also grant medals just for beating all their stages, but the current event areas do not. AP Max items make S-ranking significantly easier than it usually would be. If you're not using those (they are limited, after all, and you haven't had a chance to build up a stockpile), then you want to get as many AP bonus icons as your luck will allow you. Zombie Eri is a fairly cheap way to knock out all the bonus icons early (the sooner you get them the better). Unfortunately she's not available to you either - Samurai Planes are a good alternative. The Rebel Gigant has a weakness against certain units. For example, Leona is effectively immortal against it (her special can block its special, and it otherwise can't even hit her). That said, even if I only send out only one of her (for a measly 80 AP) followed by nothing else except the Slug Gigant (the only thing that can damage the Rebel), that's still apparently not fast enough for an S-rank. Still pondering that one... I'm somewhat under the impression that AP Max tanks are needed for some of these stages.
Any thoughts on the following units? Flying Core. Vanguard. Metal Rear. Black Hound. Parachute Truck. Mv-280B. I'm considering buying the first 4 since I'm still in the discount update (Somebody already told me the Metal Rear isn't really good on its own but I still kinda want to give it a try, at least as a support unit). And I also want people's opinions on the last 2, and yes, I want opinions on the Parachute Truck after the nerf (is it still decent or it's useless?). The other one (The MV) simply calls my attention. Seems interesting. But I don't know if it's any good.
The MV-280B has a good HP to AP ratio, it moves just as fast as the Type R metal slug and red samurai infantry. It takes 7 seconds for its reproduction cooldown. The downside to it is that it has a slow startup for it standard attack, delivers very bad damage, and easily flinches. And using its special is basically getting it destroyed early on, it also is able to flinch when using its special which is also bad. This unit will need to be stacked behind other wall/offense units, and to make a difference in a battle you would need to have 3 properly placed in their respective combat zone, but that is very unlikely as you might activate its special bringing it to its doom. It's definitely not a unit for PvP, but rather a unit for "fun" purposes like creating wacky decks or just playing through the campaign. Hope this helps
Hmmm, guess I won't get that one then, not yet. Meanwhile my priorites are the other ones listed. Thanks for responding. Anyone can give me their opinion on the other units I listed? Oh, and one question I wanted to ask to all Metal Skug Defense players. Which unit would you like to be added/become useable? Mine are Big Shiee and Dragon Nosuke, which are already in-game, however that would probably be impossible considering they wouldn't fit outside of their map, and no, some lame Mini-Shiee or Mini-Nosuke wouldn't be enough. So I'll just keep dreaming... But yeah MSD players, which would be your dream units?
One unit I think should be added is the unused SV-002 metal slug. Heck, there's even official artwork of it in the game. I've seen someone take the original SV-001 sprite and edit in the features of the "improved" SV-002 and it looked cool! I was kind of hoping SNK would add it for the 1st anniversary of the game but nope. Also, I really hope SNK didn't pass up the 25 million download event. It seems like they went from that milestone and quickly skipped to more KOF exclusive deals/events.
Rear tends to get knocked back a fair bit, but if you can manage to stack a few up they'll do some damage. Its special allows you to move it back and potentially keep it in play a bit longer. I guess it falls slightly on the "good" side of average, but you're still usually better off continuing to hoard AP and sending out something with more health. Hound's special used to be great for ripping open the enemy frontline. These days it just leads to the Hound's immediate death. It's like a self-destruct button. Parachute Truck was released with a bug that made it deal crazy amounts of damage - I made a video demonstrating it. That was fixed in 1.30 AND it was further nerfed in the same blow, making it pretty much useless. On the other hand, it was excellent for S-ranking all the event stages available in 1.29, and ruled PvP in that update, so due to its cheap medal cost most everyone ended up buying it. Haven't tried the others outside of missions. MV-280B moves quickly, but can't take any hits and attacks way too slowly. Vanguard... I dunno about Vanguard, I get the impression that one may actually be alright. Flying Core was certainly popular in some decks, but the Gigants / Keese in the latest updates have probably obsoleted it.
