Indeed, the idea is to use the damage-absorbing Slug Gigant to protect the damage-dealing Rebel Gigant. The result is greater than the sum of its parts. I'd still be inclined to wait until the next update, though. They're bound to be rebalanced, the only question is "how". Any difficulty can drop a part. Higher difficulties grant better odds.
The problem is next update they are both likely to get nerfed - and the one you pay 500 medals for will become a whole lot weaker.
500medal boss units in my opinion are less than likely to be nerfed that fast, the free ones and the cheaper medal units are more prone to nerf( car slug, mars people elite, etc) rootmars:4+ updates til nerf(the only one in 500medal range thats iffy) very op in his debut. sol rokka:til now no nerf, althou its spec is abit faster to cd(can be good or bad), got innefective in the era of slug armor debut and mai before nerf, but made a comeback recently. the only ones that gets hit by the nerf hammer fast are the kof units..which is abit much for us because 300medals every month at that time..sometimes you need two of em in a single update to catch up.. based in my own findings, investing in boss units will be better in the long run but not always
Nice ^ Hi everyone, Hideus_Ex here. Some of you already know I'm playing version 1.23 to unlock some limited units. I'm already somewhat close to unlocking the Dai-Manji. My current deck is: Mars People (Probably gonna replace them), Clone Eri, Leona, Ralf, Clark, Samurai Planes, Mini-Hermit, Ptolemaic Slug, Allen O'Neil, Donald Morden. All Lv: 20. Yes, it's not that good, right now I'm waiting to unlock more useful units like Robot Morden and O'Neil. I have everything in home upgraded to Lv: 25 Except for Max. Sortie Points, AP Production, Unit Production and MSP which are Lv: 30. Some posts ago I asked someone if real money to medal discounts were dependant of the game version and apparently they're not, as there's a recent discount on KOF units because of KOF XIV's recent announcement and they're indeed discounted in my game. So I'm either spending a lot on those overpriced medals or not spending anything at all. Right now I have about 570 medals and I haven't even started any of the alternate worlds so there's still some medals to unlock. The thing is I want to buy the 3900 medal pack to be able to buy every discounted unit in the 50% off update. Yeah it's crazy and dumb but I want to do it. But with the price the pack has I probably won't. So anybody got an idea when would the next medal discounts event be? I hope it's soon. Or I'm either gonna have to simply buy what I can afford with the Medals I get or spend a lot in medals, probably the former.
I don't think any medal sales have been pre-announced. That said, it sounds like you've got a ways to go before you need to update past 1.29 anyways. I would guess that if there's going to be another medal sale this year, it'd be around Christmas. Re the new update, 1.33 adds a new four stage "KOF" zone to alt world three, and also adds five missions. The gigant event continues to remain open. The game's file structure has been shuffled around a bit. The APK file has stopped growing in size (probably to avoid the "download using wifi" prompt in the Play Store), and sits on just under 50mb. Instead it seems that the "additional files" download you have to do after each update is going to get larger from here on.
Well provided I'll get about 1000 with the ones I already have (almost 600) and the ones I'm yet to obtain from the alternate worlds, which units should I get in the discount update? I already know I'm getting the Slug Armor, the Stone Turtle and Big John but which others? I was thinking in maybe Rootmars or Jupiter King but I'm not sure... After that guess Imma wait for the next medal sale, and hopefully units will also be discounted. I have everything in home to Lv: 30. I have every POW from World 1 but there are still some to collect from the other 2, as I only went for the most important (AP production, MSP and Max. Sortie Points) Of course I made sure to at least get one from each stage so there's that. My current deck is: Clone Eri, Leona, Ralf, Clark, Morden Robot, Samurai Planes, Mini-Hermit, Ptolemaic Slug, Cyborg O'Neil, Donald Morden. All Lv:20 except for MordenBot but I'm working on that. There's still units to change so I'd like some advice. Right now I'm already trying for the Dai-Manji. So yeah, having seen my deck and upgrades anyone got any recommendations for discounted units I should buy when I update? Also, I was thinking in maybe buying Japan Team (For Kyo and Beni) and Yagami Team (Basically for Iori). Other than that I don't think any other is worth buying, Women Team isn't in my version yet but watching how badly they were nerfed I don't think I want them.
Those two aren't terribly much use. Jupiter King used to be all the rage, but he's now mostly obsolete due to his low HP and attack range. Rootmars Slug got hit with the nerf hammer, and you're generally lucky if he survives long enough to fire his special, let alone for him to achieve anything with it against the glut of other boss characters who get used these days. As a general rule, the characters worth getting tend to be "whatever bosses were included in the most recent update". The answer is constantly changing. In the current update, Kessi II wrecks everything. In the last update, the Gigants wrecked everything. Etc, etc, etc... Alright, JK MKII was a bit weaksauce, but I'm sure you get the idea. Concentrate on increased damage output next.
Well, I guess I won't get those, then it's gonna be Sol I guess, I'm also really tempted to buy Metal Rear, but I don't know if it's any good. Another unit I'm considering is the Patrol Robot, but same thing. I tried the third stage of the Boss area of the event and I lost... So I guess I'm indeed gonna have to concentrate on other important upgrades like Damage, Unit Production and AP on kill before I try again. I also bought the Native again, that little guy is a beast, I remember I was always able to pick off Ioris at distance with about 3 of them. By the way, anybody knows if the Mv-280B is any good? It seems halfway decent. Another unit I really wanted to get was the Man-Eater, it seemed to have great stats overall and a great special and are simply cute so why not, then I read the Production Speed: "Slow". What?! Those things come out in fountains in PvE! Even with the high health they get killed pretty quickly and get insta-killed by the MSA unlike other units that at least have the decency of stoping it. What a shame. Wish they buffed them to fast producing, I mean, they still cost 80 AP so I don't think it would be too OP.
Patrol Robots used to be all but necessary to having a decent deck, due to their decent range. They eventually had that range nerfed, making them mostly useless. Natives used to be popular, for some reason. You could beat a novice player by spamming the things, but you can do that by spamming most anything. Like the plants, they're too easily wiped out by... well, just about anything. Especially in regards to cheaper units, they have to have some sort of "gimmick" to be viable. Invincibility frames (Leona / Mai) are always nice, for example.
I think I've already made my decision, maybe, as soon as I update I'm gonna get The Slug Armor, Stone Turtle, Big John, Sol Dae Rokker. If I still have enough medals Imma get get Crablops, Metal Rear and the Vanguard, respectively. I'm also considering buying the cheap Smasher, but I'm not sure. The reason I really like the Natives is because of their long range special, which also does a lot of damage. They're really spammable, and have a lot of health for a 45 AP unit. Indeed the plants die pretty easily, making their slow production a real killer. Like I said all SNK should do is giving them a very fast production and they might as well be viable. And about the invincibility thing, that's exactly why I want to buy Kyo, Benimaru and Iori, as they seem to be immortal while doing their special, Kyo is now what Mai used to be, Benimaru is a direct upgrade to Leona and Iori is a more expensive but stronger version of those latter 2. Or at least that's what I think, anyways thanks for the tips once more. By the way anybody got an idea of when are the KOF discounts gonna end? I still have to get the Dai-Manji, and the Regular Army Chopper so I either hurry or I'm gonna have to buy it at full price.
Ugh, I'm beginning to hate boss units extremely bad right now, late-game forays become absolutely ireful for me because of the dudes who own more than five paid boss units, throwing in the free Gigant as extra salt. Only thing I can rely on is early Gr. Hazmat, Iori and Big John setups to score a quick win, otherwise I'm essentially dead meat even with my own boss units. Kudos to the MSD devs for knowing how to get a quick buck out of anyone who wants to even survive in multiplayer. Hide, don't get Metal Rear if you plan to make it a frontline unit, it gets knocked back real far and is easy to kill with the units that come about in the next few updates (Specifically, Red Tar Men)
Thanks I'll take that in count. And by the way I just realized the KOF discounts are about to end and I haven't been able to beat Boss Stage 4 so if I want to get Takuma and Women team I better come up with a good strategy. Anyone who beat the stage remember how they did it? I read of some people who used the sandbag to keep the Ring Lasers away and other say to have used the Hopper Mecha to get the AP Tanks. However I haven't tried either. Right now my units are all of the unlockable units except Zombie Marco, Trevor Mummy and the Elephant Slug, the KOF teams which I finally decided to buy and some premium units like the Natives, Clone Eri, The Ikari Warriors and The Ptolemaic Slug. I already have all World 2 POWs (except for Zombie Marco and Max. AP). And of the World 3 I have AP Production, MSP, AP on kill and Sortie Points complete, the others are yet to be completed. All of my units are Lv: 20. I'll try to do something similar to this video, however that guy has all his units to Lv: 30 and I asume has all POWs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1TpI9EV5e0. Hopefully my KOF units will work better. Just in case that fails anyone remembers how they beat it and if so can they share their strategy for me? Just so I try and if even that fails I guess I'm gonna get patient, unlock all POWs and wait until KOF units get a discount again... Edit: Just tried to do the video thing, I failed miserably. My Sv-Camel can only throw I grenade before getting kocked back by the Ring Lasers as the Sandbag doesn't have as much health as in the video. Guess I'll have to try something different. Edit: Hmmm... I just realized I have 6 Radars and 5 AP Max items so maybe I could use them I mean, in what other stage would I possibly need them? Still, if someone would tell me which units should I use that would be nice. Right now I'm thinking of using: Ralf, Clark, Kyo, Iori, Morden Robot, Goro, Ptolemaic Slug, Allen O'Neil, Cyborg O'Neil, Donald Morden. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Edit: I did it, I used my spare AP Max & Radars and got my Dai-Manji.
I realized a better way to test attack power. I go to map 3 level 1 (stage 1) and when I attack the base I can have a clear idea on how strong the attack is. I tested all zombies who throw vomit and the one who cost 450 AP is the one who deals massive damage compared to the others. While the cheaper (120 AP) one deals something like 10% damage to the base, the other one deals something like 70%. It is quite spammable but rarely you can get more than one special. Another one who deals massive damage is the Elephant Battery. Something like 70% out of the base. A strategy I'm getting good results with is using King and Robert to counter the Gigant (free unit) special. I just spam them later in the game. But HOW do I know WHEN to use the King and Robert special?, you might be asking... WAIT to use your Gigant special when the other player use his. That way you know when he's going to use his special and fire King and Robert special to counter.
Is anyone else losing interest in this game? I didn't play it yesterday at all and didn't really care that I missed the daily bonus!
Sorry, could you provide some more info? Not sure what "issues" you're talking about, and what's telling you to try what again. Are you attempting to use the cloud icon on the game's main menu? That's not a backup button...
What device do you use? I personally have an Xperia Z1 which already has a built-in back-up app and it works perfectly for me.
