The only bug I'm aware of, as far as time-traveling is concerned, is that you won't gain SP or earn Daily Prizes until you reach the travelled-to date.

    Elephant Slug
    HP 4,000 (LV1) | 8,000 (LV20)
    400 AP
    MOV: Slow
    PROD: Very Slow
    ATTACK: Single, Long (Vulcan)
    SPECIAL: Spread, Very Long (Flamethrower)

"Slow moving, but has a flamethrower super-attack able to eliminate many enemies At once."

Actually looks like a solid unit. That range is pretty tasty.

WTF, I just started a match with the siren for damage warning and a quarter of my base HP left!!! Still managed to win, though. :D It's because I dashed some real money to buy Trevor and the Caterpillar. Since adding them to my deck (and exchanging Morgen for Elephant), I've been winning almost all of the time!

Since I got the Caterpillar and Trevor yesterday, I've quickly turned my win:lose ratio from around 200:280 to around 310:300 :D
They'll probably nerf him in the next update, it's crazy how powerful he is!

I have over 200 matches of experience and I have not experienced any hacking online. Have you completed the story? Both of them? Are you experiencing lag? Rollbacks? Do you have video evidence of the cheating? Most of the high-level online game revolves around an extremely fast rush down/ramp up strategy that relies on Lv.20 teams, all the POW bonuses, and fully upgraded HQs, do you have all those, or are you simply losing to players with better stuff?

It's true we don't discuss acquiring or using hacks around here, but we do discuss cheating and the presence of hackers. Please inform yourself properly before making baseless claims. We're still discussing whether or not the phenomena we're observing is actually hacking or just poor netcode from a small and quickly-made game combined with shoddy connections from using a cellular network.
Are you claiming disconnecting isn't cheating? You can't pick and choose between different kinds of cheating when you go to a public forum to complain--you're basically saying, "damn all those (unconfirmed) cheaters, it's a good thing I'm such a good (confirmed) cheater!" Just take your lumps like a real gamer, no one can see your loss records, anyway.

I wouldn't say a player disconnecting if he is experiencing actual hackers on the other side or in game lag is on par with cheating. Either way that player is experiencing an unfair matchup, and I don't believe anyone should be obligated to play through it. Disconnecting also has no negative effects on the person being disconnected against, right?

I suppose that's true. It's mostly a minor nuisance to have someone disconnect on me, except those players who do it when you reach their base. I was considering more the idea of players disconnecting simply to avoid losing to a stronger opponent, which I do have qualms with, but evading a hacker is something else. Since I haven't found proof of hacking, though, I disagree with the idea that 90% of games are against hackers and that disconnecting frequently is a thing that anyone needs to do. On the plus side, I've only had one or two disconnects since I hit the higher ranks, so the matchmaking seems to be working for something.

The "baseless claim" I'm referring to is the claim that we act like a secret society where hackers aren't a real thing--it's discussed regularly in many of the TA forums.

Accusing other people of being a hacker on the internet is a pointless ad homonym argumentative fallacy that goes nowhere and can't be debated, so please don't start that kind of thing with me.

But the root of our disagreement seems to be this: we both have similar game experience (200+ matches) and maxed-out armies, so why are our experiences so different? It's confounding.

Yeah, DC'ing against an opponent because you're losing is just bad sportsmanship. DC'ing because of unfair advantage due to hacks, glitches, or latency is a different issue. I also am not experiencing these 'unfair advantages' in 90% of my games either...more like maybe 1 out of every 20 games.

Daboss, we're also not ruling out the possibility of hackers, just that there might be other possibilities. However, one additional point in favor of hackers being a thing is the leaderboards. So many impossible scores at the top.

Unfortunately, it seems like the leaderboards are the easiest thing to hack in every GameCenter game. As far as I know, Apple still doesn't allow devs to go in and manually curate anomalous scores.

Yeah man, I dunno why I was so quick to think you might have been a novice. You have my apologies, I can get a little defensive about the community. I actually deleted Metal Slug Defense within two weeks when it first came out because of all the matchmaking and disconnecting problems--I was completely gobsmacked when they added matchmaking and balance adjustments! So it seems like SNK actually cares about their mobile games, so I hope they get around to curtailing hacker shenanigans and such (and also Trevor, because he dominates so much of the early- to mid-game).

So I just got completely decked by a guy with like 2,000 wins. It was 1:5, total bloodbath. He did a rush strategy with Samurai Tanks, Sasquatch, Trevor, and Ralf, repeatedly overtaking my opening hand of Trevor, Ring Laser Mecha, and SV-001 Type-R before I could spawn my Caterpillar and start stalling... And then he spawned his J.King first [BARF!] [dies].

I'm really excited to try a new, possibly viable Rush deck!

EDIT: @Daboss: I love rush decks the best, but I still feel like you need to include some heavies for that inevitability where you run into a Mirror deck and need to break through a stalemate.

I always thought Sasquatch had some potential.

It seems like Sasquatch's role is to allow Samurai Tanks to attack (they're actually pretty strong) and so Ralf can safely pull off his Special to close distance and start using his obscenely powerful Vulcan Jabs close-range attack. Otherwise, they both die before they do anything. I also noticed that the guy who destroyed me stops spawning Sasquatch in the late-game, since he's a free kill and doesn't even attack.

I'm still iffy on Ralf's potential. He seems very strong, but only with a Sasquatch or Giant Caterpillar in the way, otherwise he gets interrupted out if his Special and dies before he starts using his Flame Shot.

Wait until you see 20 abul abbas spawn and or two metal slug attack both producing significant damages and youre metal slug bar still needs half to be activated. There are some, but not all.

Yes the lagg does makes a lot of difference within plays but those happens in good connections.
