Armor/Defensive Rating Confirmed So, it was several months since I brought up the armor value theory on touch. I did a test before, and got results although it didn't seem that convincing. Now, with joseph, we conducted a test that lasted about 2 hours and here are our final results:We conducted our tests using the Di-Cokka Ver.F shots. One normal attack = 3 Shots, no special used. 5,000 HP Unit Tests Drill Slug: 9 Shots Robot Morden: 10 Shots 7,500 HP Unit Tests Goro Daimon: 13 Shots Mini Hermit: 10 Shots Protogunner: 10 Shots (Ralf not counted, if counted 16) 4,000 HP Unit Tests Mature: 6 Shots Sandbag: 7 Shots Claw Unit: 6 Shots 4,500 HP Unit Tests Big Snail: 5 Zombie Marco: 6 Shots Trevor Mummy: 6 Shots 12,500 HP Unit Tests Iron Nokana: 21 Karn: 22 Cyborg Allen: 17 The most convincing ones are Goro and the other 7.5k HP units and the 12.5K units. Now if you think about it, an armor/defense rating does make sense, if there wasn't, everyone would just opt to go with the best DPS unit of that HP class, the armor/defense rating is there to equalize things.
Definitely hyped for that new unit. I'm oky with a lame attack if it's a excellent wall lol. I always wondered why don't they just make a unit that's strictly for defense, with no attack. Hyun and Joseph, Good stuff! I was wondering About armor too because in character description it mentions armor. Have you tried testing the spike bunker. The description says it has good armor, but it still has relatively low health so I'm not sure if armor is helpful if there isn't much health.
Also I was wondering if maybe each class or type of unit is weak against another. Ex; rebel attack does less on pf units?
Probably not, look at Goro and Protogunner. I'm guessing SNK is basing the armor value something similar to what they do in KOF. In KOF, every character has an individual defense and offensive rating that isn't visible, similar to that of MSD.
Joseph and other and I were actually talking about how the Stone Turtle (the name of the unit) might actually bring back the Hover Unit's competitive edge.

Lol for the first time in months I find myself at 0 medals - thanks to stone turtles unexpected awesomeness. *Sigh*, now I gotta grind again like back in the day now that my bankroll is gone..
So whats the opinion on the new units? I've been seeing alot of stone turtles, but not so much of the new kof units
That's cause 350 medals worth of Stone-cold turtle power beats the generic 300 label stamp they slap on anything with a Kof bumper sticker..
Is that your deck? Can I just ask, those first 3 units, the POW, armored soldier and that hopper, have they been buffed? Because almost everyone I play online now has them and I can't figure out why?
Yep, this deck I used in the previous version, and before I started to play on multiplayer in this version. Now my deck like that. But maybe it's not a final variant to this version. I was thinking that the turtle may very well protected Monoeye
Is there anyone out there who would like to see the SV-002 as a unit? For those with no clue, it's basically the normal metal slug but upgraded. Seeing how SNK just released the scrapped boss Stone Turtle and having created entirely new sprites for the KoF units, I believe this unit, which has also been scrapped, is entirely possible of making its debut in this game.
Kof fighters have literally ruined my deck My deck, is based around my favorite unit, the commander Now the kof fighter units destroy the hover units commander spawns and now my commander is just a source of AP for enemy team ( destroying hover units that commander summons counts as 210 ap)
Commander was still horrid, like one of the worst in game unit before KOF units came pouring in. It's less terrible now, only due to Stone Turtle and affiliation with the Ptolemaics. Only time the hover units were good was when those buggers were actually hard to kill and took MSA to the face.
And you gyus hav seen any buff/nerf ? I just know that ring mecha laser prod rate decrease from "normal" to "slow". Any thing else ?
