I would do that, yeah. Clark is a lot of fun. He isn't "molest the entire game by himself" broken, but in terms of survivability, he usually sticks around better than Ostrich and Camel, since he's long range. It's hard for me to tell how much damage he's doing, though, since Trevor's out there with him.
Trevor completely trivializes Sandbags. His range is so long that he interrupts the Sandbag building, so you always have to manually deploy the thing really far away. BUT, and I have to experiment with this more, it does seem to win those Trevor mirrors if you can kite their Trevor to attack it while your's hides behind the bag.
I replaced my Drill Slug with the Ring Laser Mecha. It has a comparable AP cost, just a little less HP, but it stands in front of Trevor and Clark like you want out of a tank, and it fires long ranged, piercing (!) projectiles. I can recommend trying it.

I'll try him out. I passed on him before because of his Normal speed, but his long range special may be worth it compared to the Drill Slug.

Do you have any experience with the Sasquatch? Cheap, fast movement and production, and tank stats for the AP cost. Seems it might be worth testing.

Yeah, so when they send out a Unit (not always) two of the same come out, at the same time. I don't know if it is related but it was always human. 2x Hyakutaro 2x Trevor 2x Clark. Seen it only 3 times.

Another one, that I personally think is a glitch , sometimes even when we're fighting in the middle of the screen, my base takes damage (vice versa also) but that one I think it's just a connection issue.

I've seen the double unit thing. They also do it with the Metal Slug attack, sending out 2 back to back.

damn, I'd say that's the best unit in the game then. Double MSA...

Oh well, the online part of the game has still work ahead of it, one of three disconnect mid game

I know that this has probably already been asked a few times but how do I play the world to unlock Allen? I've played 5 or 6 emergency zones and unlocked all POWs in all of them. I don't know how to get to the next bit to get Allan and the Mars people :(

They just unlock in order. I'm assuming you need to unlock World 2 in order to do those Emergency Missions there. Do you have Abul Abbas yet? Allen O'Neil is after him.

You unlock Allen and Mars People the same way as the other Emergency zones. They're just from World-2's emergency zones.

So I've been playing a lot of VS matches, and after a lot of failure and deck tuning, I believe the strongest decks are still Giant Ramp Decks. We thought that Trevor would destroy the "stall for Jupiter King" play style, but it actually enables it once you integrate Trevor into the deck.

Trevor himself is the best defense against Trevor-based rush decks--even with backup from a Sandbag or Samurai Tank, one or two Trevor units is enough to stall until you can start spawning Giant Caterpillar, which tanks Trevor and the Metal Slug Attack, and potentially shuts a rush down, especially as the rusher is committing all his resources to the rush, and can't respond once you get to 5-6 AP upgrades and start pumping out Jupiter King hiding behind a Giant Caterpillar / Mars Mecha wall.

Trevor is just too powerful--he can't even defeat himself, as two Trevors trading fire just end up in a flinch war, allowing the ramp deck to start stacking his AP as the rusher is forced to sacrifice units to take down Trevor.

EDIT: if you want to try my deck:
    Samurai Tanks
    Trevor Spacey
    Ring Laser Mecha
    Giant Caterpillar
    Clark Still
    Zombie Marco
    Allen O'Niel
    Mars Mecha
    Donald Morden
    Jupiter King

    1. Get 2 AP upgrades immediately, unless they spawn a Sandbag, which you should counter with Trevor before they set it up in front of your base.

    2. Spawn Trevor BY HIMSELF, and check your opponent's response.

2a. If they reply with anything besides Trevor, convert to a rush and pump out Samurai Tank, Trevor, Ring Laser Mecha, and Giant Caterpillar. If you can grab a third or forth AP upgrade, also pump out Clark, Zombie Marco, and finish off with Allen.

2b. If they reply with Trevor (and probably a Tank), start mashing AP upgrades and Trevor (and only Trevor). Use your Trevor Special to stall for time. Your opponent is likely committing to winning the early game, but it's simply impossible to put down Trevor comfortably without resorting to MSA.

    3. Once you hit 4-5 AP upgrades, spawn a Giant Caterpillar to block the impending MSA and to stop Trevor (and even kill him with the rush special). At this point you can either start spamming everything from Trevor to Allen from behind your meat wall, which will beat a Tank / Trevor / Camel / Drill Slug rush by virtue of having more AP, or play conservatively and upgrade your AP until it's 1 or 2 upgrades from MAX, and save for a Jupiter King / Mars Mecha push. Zombie Marco and Morden are only really there for the piercing effect, which can hit the base if you deadlock with someone by their base.

I'm having about a 90% success rate so far, and when I lose, its usually because I launched my MSA at a dumb time and crashed it into my opponent's MSA attack while on my side of the field.

hi fio, so far i know the respawn time for emergency areas are the following:

    12noon , 6pm and 10pm

before these timings make sure you have plenty of sortie points so you can keep on playing until you got all the hyakutaro look alike to standup haha. emergency will last for an hour starting from these timings. i found this timing from someone's blog

so far for me i try to finish every stage as fast as i can and sometimes i can get 2 pow standing up.

Is it possible to do friend matches? I would love to play some scrims to practice build orders and strategy and such.

Metal Slug Defense (by SNK Playmore)

    My Current Deck:
    Samurai Tanks
    Trevor Spacey
    Ring Laser Mecha
    Giant Caterpillar
    Shoe
    Allen O'Niel
    Mars Mecha
    Iron Nokana
    Jupiter King
    Donald Morden

The current game seems to revolve around opening and stalling with Trevor so you can pump high-AP units, so I recommend looking for high-HP units with a long range, such as SV-001 Experimental / Ring Laser / Red/Green Ohumein-Conga, or just pumping the Giants. I might actually swap out the Samurai Tanks next, since Trevor owns everything by his lonesome.

    Other things I've run:
Drill Slug - Good AP for HP value, but drill is short ranged and tends to get wasted. Replaced with Ring Laser Mecha.
Ostrich/Camel - high power and speed with a good production rate, but then Trevor happened. Ostrich was replaced with Camel, camel was replaced with Clark, and then I just gave up and removed that AP range. Nadia is worthless here, as well, for reasons I listed previously.
Ohumein-Conga - They're a good value for their HP, and their special pushes them forward for walling... They're just outclassed by Giant Caterpillar.

This is sounds about right, it is the new meta now. It often beats my rush deck since I don't have Trevor. I am reluctant to buy him until now as I want to see if next patch nerfs him a little. Either have him cost more or reduce his huge HP, or his awesome range, or his ability to knock or cancel attacks (Can be knocked back 3 times)

Also, 3 stars rewards means that I need more than 200 wins to get 100 stars if I get Trevor, Jupiter King is going to take me ages to buy as they are the 2 units I want to test out.

Ok, i think using a more expensive unit might be a goog idea.

Also i wanted to ask you why you use shoe and not karn. I am using him too. I bought him because of his long range, but sometimes i regret the purchase, because the missile he shoots always misses. I think, that karn is quite better, because he hits more often. And what do you think about Iron Nokana? Besides i dont really understand why you use the Mars Mecha, because I think that this unit is completely useless. Or do you just use it as a sponge?
