Hi everyboody i'm new!! I've been playing msd for two-three months and it's about a month that i came into this forum. I got caught pretty soon by your nice community and i thought it would have been good to be part of it OKay enough with compliments let's talk about msd I completed all solo game (all missions, set free all prisoners and unlocked all characters through prisoners, max stat ecc) and i was wondering now that now it's time to be more cmopetitive online. I haven't purchased any unit except Hi Do so my deck is pretty noob 1 Mars people cadre 2 Fat Eri 3 Elite arabian soldier 4 trevor mummy 5 morden robot 6 mini jupiter king 7 normal allen 8 robot allen 9 hi do 10 donald morden i know it's an unusual deck but i noticed that despite the noob units for early game the weakest part is late game because the two allen i think. About early game my tactics is to send a mars cadre and fat fio, so they can charge special, and then an elite arabian who is faster and with is special can rush to cover them. With this i can handle even an iori (maybe with more mars or fio) but of course in small or medium map i go nowhere XD Anyway i think it's time to purchase some good units, i was wondering about replacing the two allens for karn/shoe or karn and brain robot. Don't know which unit to buy for early and mid game (there are too many) maybe iori is one i don't know ah i didn't talk about the budget of medals xD well i gathered 1816 medal until now, i hope the're enough to have good improvements. Thank everybody for the time spent reading this i can't wait fo your wise advices, see ya
Whit 1800 medals you can buy a full deck... Early game depends on your strategy, but mars cadre and trevor mummy sucks... Fat eri is not 100% bad but goi should have something better... Elite arabian soldier is a good unit. You could have something better but for now keep it. For mid and late game the 2 allen are quite bad units and for mid game mini juppjter king is only valid for a fast movement. I suggest you to NOT spend all medals at once. Buy the first 2-3 units and see what you miss. Deck building is a long process. Wich game you have in mind? (Rush game, late game, rebel deck without mid-game...) Depends on how you have more fun (win is useless if you don't enjoy). Just a note, for now replace allen with elefant slug.
I'm not sure how wise that is as Donald Morden's carpet specialty guarantees the other base will take a hit.
Hmm, let's see, 40k HP wall with an awesome damaging normal AND special attack over Donald Morden who isn't as good as a wall, only good for his special that ends stalemate? Yeah, I want a end-game wall (800 AP for 40k is a lot, that's practically 10k for 200 AP) that will protect my Karn, Shoe, Di-Cokka Ver.P.M, and Hi-Do. The benefits of Brain Robot beats Donald Morden. That's what SNK wants no? They don't want you to hold the medals, they want you spend the medals. Basic economics and business.
After running wild with Hyakutaro and LV armor, I nearly regained all medals I spent on them. 50 medals reward from 100 2v2 wins is a hugh boost too. However, I start too see Hyakutaro+Iori/Leona/Mature/LV armor or all them combo everywhere and my Hyakutaro+LV armor combo is not enough to stop that opening. Oh, Brain Robot late game is also everywhere. Surprisingly, max lv Sarubia PM can absorb around 3/4 of its special before go down itself. Combining Brain Robot with other late game units also start to get on my nerve. Luckily Brain Robot walk so slow and its special has delays which around me to kill everything else before I kill Brain Robot. If my opponent has 2 Brain Robot, it's game over for me. Meanwhile, I start to see Elephant Slug too. Not everywhere, just a lot more than patrol bot. Now if its special stay on the ground longer... My Current Nemesis - Hyakutaro+Leona/Iori/Mature/Daimon or everything on this list - Mature+Leona - Super early Leona - 2 Brain Robots My Current Deck - Hyakutaro (Best investment so far. Until next update, that is.) - LV Armor (Sniping opponent's Hyakutaro and shielding my Hyakutaro early game. 10/10) - Sarubia PM (Is this a mid game unit? I start to skip this unit and go for Hi-do mid game now. Well, not everytime though since his attack flinch Iori and that dude is still everywhere.) - Airborne Melty Honey (Red Shobu is annoying) - Elephant Slug (Splash damage RULES!!) - Slug Flyer (Red Shobu killers) - Cyborg Allen (Will be replaced soon.) - Metal Rear (I start to dislike this one's special since it jumps back and expose my Hyakutaro to opponent army.) - Hi-Do (Due to high usage of Iori, I usually have enough AP to buy this one MIDGAME. Whao) - Donald Morden (Oh, so this one special is carpet bombing. Maybe he will stay in my deck longer for that.) Swapping Unit - Zombie Marco (I saw this one on 1v1 and 2v2. She and Zombie Marco's blood vomit splash special seem to penetrate units which kill all my Hyakutaro behind Sarubia PM.) - Giant Caterpillar (I saw this one charge into my early unit and it kills a lot.) Eyes on - Alien Fio (If her special cooldown faster and Z marco's, I may buy her.) - Mature (Her special is a forward shield which look very useful mid-to-late game. Not early game though, I kill Mature+Iori combo easily. Mature+Leona, however, is a damn manace.) - Leona (She runs so fast it make me nervous. In some game, she catch my Hyakutaro before I can activate special move which ruin my early game and end the game almost immediately.) - Brain Robot (High HP, Massive Damage. Somewhat Awesome Special. What else is there to say?) Current Medal Left - 230
Haha yeah I have been using those units for a while too... I made a deck with lots of range including, kyo, Hyakutaro, patrol bot, and the future rocket soldier. The deck also has Iori. To me, Kyo and Iori is a good combo because they both have invincibility frames on their special. I send them separately so I pretty much always have a unit that can be invincible to block msa, bikers or even counter other Iori.
Im discouraged. My deck went from winning 8 or 9 outta ten times ratio to like 50/50. Im taking all the help i can get. Currently using a 10% hp rebel deck. Pretty much same as before. 1.w.mortar 2.girada o 3.lv armor 4.elite arab 5.airborn melty 6. RR shobu 7.shoe 8.karn 9.hido 10.donald morden. I was contemplating wether or not i should wait another update to see what gets released. Im just lacking top end now. The new boss units are tough. I have 681 medals and counting. Im trying to stay all rebel but if anyone has any ideas plz let me know. I was thinking about Iori , Brain robot, etc. Heck, you guys know what my options are. I still may try to hold off til next update though..
I have nothing clear in mind maybe i'm oriented to late game, i like final clashes between boss units and all the chaos XD I chose elefant slug thanks for the tips but i'm still wondering which unit i should choose for early and mid game, any suggestions?
Back to the topic on defense/armor value thoery... Not sure if anyone else have noticed this before when playing WIFI matches, and welcome bros here to verify the observations below: When using a Iori's special attack against the following unit in WIFI mode vs a same player, the results as follows: - Claw Unit (HP4000) -> unit survive - Drill Slug (HP5000) -> unit survive - Slug Flyer (HP5000) -> unit DESTROYED If really the case, then I could think of two possibilities at the moment: 1. Iori's special has bonus dmg against aerial units 2. Aerial units in general has weaker armor value than ground units (or more generally speaking that there really exists a non-uniform armor value assign to MSD units) well, i could be wrong... just some food for thoughts...
girada o lv armor patbot iori airborn melty RR shobu shoe hido donald morden jupiter you can try this. maybe you can win 7 out of 10 the trick is knowing what your opponent is thinking and counter. I think your biggest threat comes from goro and jupiter. you should play around with the position of each units on the deck. I used to place hido first and donald 7th. hido is not that effective offensively only its special to counter shobu and brain robot.
IMO There's nothing about armor value. Iori's special does damage in 2 consecutive times. If opponent unit flinches after 1st time, it won't get the damage later on. I observe Iori's damage is like 3000 per time. Claw and Drill flinch at the first time so they get 3000. Units hard or do not flinch like Sarubia vpm or all flying units get the whole 6000 damages. The same applies to Special Force (2 times damage with each like 2300), so you can see Girida-O surviving, but takes only 3 hits to kill a 11000HP Sarubia vpm.
That's an interesting theory... never thought of it from this perspective. Will take note of this and verify the result in WIFI matches later. In any case, good job for sharing!
Hi chigga, I have noticed this myself. it seems the closer Iori is, the more hits he gets in. I say this because a direct base hit with Ioris SPCATK deals damage in two seperate proportions, one doing more damage than the other by a significant difference. Elephant slug has the same thing too; the ball does more damage pending on how much in contact the spcatk is to enemy units. Oh btw, those first two units you listed can be pushed back, so it may also be that not all dmg went thru before stun. As an Iori player, ill deffinitely keep this in mind
Hey guys, I just signed up to drop a little rant here. Does anybody else feel that since the 1.18 update the whole gameplay got completly messed up? I used to have 1500 wins on 1vs1, then my app broke down, everything got deleted and i had to start back over again.. Anyways, while starting over again I noticed that the new Units like "Rootmars Slug" and especially "Brain Robot" are super unbalanced. Im mean, wtf, I know newer Units always get stronger because they want you to buy medals, but this is a bit over the edge. 1vs1 Battles are getting super boring, EVERYBODY uses "Iori Yagami" (oh wow hardly to win without him) and "Hyakutaro" plus some bigger tank unit like shoe. Its getting so boring and frustrating. Am I the only one getting frustrated with this?
It has been like that since forever, did you forget about when everybody used utan and claw unit? or mortar and tarman?
True that. At least tarman and mortar was not efficient against RR Shobu, air, or this alien egg unit. Against Claw Unit Morden Robot was a moderate answer. Imho theirs no real answer to the current combination, since Iori Yagami is so quick and strong.
Newbie Here Hi Guys, I'm just new here in MSD and so far, here are my 2 sample decks i've thought of: 1. Tarman Robot Morden R. Shobu Slug Flyer MH-6S Airborne Melty Honey Regimental RR. Shobu Hi-Do Dangling Snail 2. Tarman Robot Morden Cyborg O'Neill MH-6S Airborne Melty Honey R. Shobu RR. Shobu Slug Flyer Hi-Do Jupiter King Let me know your thoughts guys
