SNK makes millions off the ads in the game,.. Don't you worry about that, they're raking it in big time.
Putting my device in flight mode solves the problem, but I hate having to do that. These are some of the most intrusive ads Ive seen in any game Ive played-Im getting full-on movie trailers in every other screen I click and it seems to get worse the longer I play. Has anyone else experienced this?. I really like this game and wish they had a remove ads purchase, I would buy it.
Just put it on flight mode and you won't get these ads... and it's not like you would like people to interupt you while you play anyway.
Your theory is spot on. Firstly, charging ridiculous amounts (300 medals) for relatively weak characters is a stunt to make people buy these. I got a feeling the Kessi will cost people about 500-600 medals. Give how much these weak characters are, and seeing as though Jupiter King was about that price, wait and see what will happen. My main question about Kessi... as it is an air unit, will it be destructible? Or will it be like current flying machine, they come, unload their ammunition, and then disappear? I will be disappointed if that is the case. Either way I will wait until I play someone who has in 1vs1 or 2vs2 mode before purchasing it. I too am saving up for it
youre right man, ads became rampant on MSD android nowadays.. but our brothers on iOS suffer more about the popups.. if hacking is allowed, i think it should be the removal of ads..
Yes the ads are very annoying, and as an iOS user, I am flooded with them. The good thing is I only need to put up with them when playing online, so that's at least a positive thing.
Hi Fio, from my experience in encountering with a Keesi hacker named 'error 404' twice, Keesi is a slow moving flying unit that does almost instant damage to low HP units like soldiers and mortar, but slower damage over time to tanks and higher HP units. My Elite Arabian Soldier with normal HP lasts about 1.5 secs, while normal HP Airborne Melty Honey lasts about 7-9 secs or more. It doesn't drop bomb and fly away, but remained there until it got destroyed, just like other Morden's boss units. The damage comes from the flame from the two engines on both sides of Keesi, but a safe zone in between. if you summoned Airborne Melty Honey for cover and if the W. Mortar eventually slides in between the Keesi safe zone, that W. Mortar can fire 2-3 shots before he got fried by the engine. An Elite Arabian Soldier is able to walk past the first flame into safe zone but will die once it does the special to dash out from the flames. I haven't noticed Keesi does any special other than the flames, maybe just like Jupiter King where there is only normal attack, or maybe he does because normal flame is blue and sometimes the flame becomes red and gets aggressive for a short while then turned blue again. Keesi is not invincible, if you have good anti-air deck with good wall, a destroyed Keesi will give you more than 900 AP. The effort to destroy Keesi made me speculate it's HP is somewhat like General Morden. His high HP and close ranged attack with no obvious special is behaving just like a General Morden in the air, an air tanker. I can foresee Keesi can be used as an air wall for long ranged air units like slug flyer, thus making future games flying units harder to kill with a wall in the air. Being a close ranged flying units, Keesi can burn your base slowly pixel by pixel even if you have Airborne Melty Honey over it, but it cannot fry a squatting W. Mortar below an Airborne Melty Honey. Keesi's hit box is at the body of the plane, so it's a pretty big hitting box. Keesi is strong in short maps as it's size is big and its long wings stretches to your base easier. On short maps it can slowly fry your base pixel by pixel, but easier to destroy on longer maps with enough mortars and shoe/karn. In the 2x2 game I have defended this 'error 404' hacker from game time 99 down to game time 14 secs in a short map. My AP pool surged from 1513 to 9900 within 14 sec game time. After all my units are under summoning cool down with nothing else to summon, only to loose the game because the long engine of a bunch of Keesis has been frying my base pixel by pixel over time, and he suddenly summoned Shoe, Cyborg Allen O'Neil and 4 other units with no time delay to overwhelm us after game time 40 secs. The second time in a longer map and a noob on his side on a 2x2, his destroyed Keesi has been giving me the much needed AP to overwhelm them and won. So be confident with your skills over hacker. Two screenshots each are attached below for both games encountered. In the last screenshot with Mission Complete a dying Keesi falled from the sky onto their base.
You're welcome Joseph1234. As much as I get annoyed by hackers, I wanted honest people not to be afraid of hackers by exposing them their faults. And sorry for my English. A correction to last paragraph, 'fell' is more appropriate than 'falled' LOL.. yes in the second screenshot you can also see a fallen Keesi on the ground haha

I am back, I was down for the count with the flu, but I'm back now. So, I don't want to make a real assessment now, but for their AP value, the new units are amazing. Only problem is that 300 medal price tag. I don't know if you want me to consider medal price affecting an unit's tier list, as it's for a performance list. Thoughts? Feel like that's impossible, only reason MSD works is due to the fact there are varieties of enemies ranging from the scrub grunts to bosses. KOF just doesn't have that and Metal Slug does. I'm fine with series crossing over, I think its actually wonderful SNK decided to truly make new sprites and abilities for these characters instead of a simple recoloring. Your statement about not being logical to have human beings fight tanks is kinda contradicting, as Metal Slug characters been blowing up everything from the beginning and KOF characters literally fought a "god" through Orochi and other superhumans with god like abilities such as Igniz, Zero, Krizalid, Rugal and etc.. You would rather face a tank that you maybe beat or a godly screen filling special infinite combo (Igniz!) priority everything badass? I would rather face a tank. Fun fact, I believe in KOF XIII, Clark claims he can face a tank barehanded, so no its not improbable in the KOF universe. Now onto the Keesi debate. This thing I believe doesn't appear by next update, I'm gonna have to declare Keesi is never coming. It's been a month since we saw this monster, and we have never got any confirmation from SNK. However, if this thing comes into play, I can see some units going up through the tier list much higher, such Black Hound maybe going back to S- and Karn, Shoe, and Slug Flyer going to S+. Also, I would place Keesi at an early S+, simply for its power, although we don't know its exact HP and AP cost. Now my experience in fighting off Keesi hackers, he stupidly thought a Hyakutaro mass spam would kill me, but Winter Bazooka saved the day and kill the 20+ Hyakutaro. Left me with loads of AP and I played Hi-Do, Karn, and Shoe as he summoned a Keesi with Donald Mordens (5+). Karn, Shoe and the Hi-Do's special severely punished Keesi and it went down faster than I expected it to. Nevertheless, the hacker returned with 20+ Keesi, almost just toying with me. Keesi's advantage is the fact it can deal insane amounts of damage in a short time. This severely punishes mortar defensive players, and I can see this unit really discouraging defensive decks. It also punishes support units, such as patrol bots, it gets torn to shreds by the Keesi. Now, every unit has a disadvantage and Keesi is one with several glaring problems. It's slow as snail sliming across salt. Only time it speeds up is when it does its attack and even the attack takes quite a while to finish. Another disadvantage is its size. I don't know if I want to consider it an advantage or disadvantage, but it seems like a disadvantage as of now. Its sheer size leaves it vulnerable to any form of AA fire. This leaves the discussion, is it an advantage or disadvantage? If any AA fire hits it, it screens other air units or even against mortar fire. I want to say a disadvantage, as the Keesi sticks around. If it fired like 2 times and left, then I would say its an advantage. Also, we have consider in the fact we have a production time on this monster, and I feel like it might be longer than the Jupiter King's current production time. Last speculation, I feel like Keesi is gonna be our first 1000+ AP unit, its not balanced even at 900. Now, I will come out with tier list later, I want to see these units in action.
Glad to hear your feeling better! Hmm.. I'm guessing the new kof units are at least A tier, but I don't own them so I can't give the best review. What does everyone else think? Every time time I fought keesi, the hacker had multiple stacks of them. It was rather difficult to take them down, but It shouldn't be too bad If there is only one or two being used. Does keesi do self destruct damage when it falls from the sky? I thought it I saw to explode and wipe out some of my units as it fell. I could be wrong though...
I'll give my two cents, if we're going to be using Hyun's tier list I would rate them as follows: Benimaru (B Tier) As some people see him as an improvement over Leona, I'd have to disagree. Sure he has a pretty good HP to AP ratio, and only costs 10 more AP, but I feel his spec. atk has too long of a channel and is ultimately a detriment to his "rush" role. That being said, if coupled with other early rushers (Leona, Ralf, Special Force Riders, Elite Arabian Soldier) it can be really overwhelming for the opponent, at least until the first MSA. Additional Note: He's more defensive, while Leona is more offensive. His Special atk is able to block any bullets that touch the circle, so at the very least he is a bit more useful than Leona in the mid-game. Goro Daimon (A-B Tier) I see him as an improvement over bear. His Spec. Atk and regular atk makes him a crowd control monster (as long as your opponents units can be flinched) as well as keeping him somewhat relevant even in the late game. His HP is definitely one of his selling points. His short range and low damage dealt on his special are what's keeping him from being a higher tier. He comboes well with units that can lay down a lot of spread damage to a bunch of grouped enemies, as well as MSA attacks. Kyo (A-B Tier) Somewhat of a sidegrade to Ralf, with his long range atk being more similar to Clark's. Unlike the other KoF characters in this update, he's able to stay somewhat safe behind walls. His Spec. Atk has a lot of i-frames making him able to avoid a lot of heavy attacks/MSAs and then following up with a penetrating attack that deals good damage. He's a good early game unit that transitions okay into the mid-game. If a lot of enemy units are clumped together his special can be devastating. His low HP pool is his biggest hindrance, as well as not being able to block MSAs. He's a safer pick over Ralf, at the cost of being less "rushy"
Nice first attempt, I like it. However when I make a tier for an unit, I don't want them to be in the middle (A-B) per say, that complicates things way too much, as people will start asking is it leaning toward more A or B? Only reason I had S+ and S- is the fact of this complication. Anyhow nice first assessment! Now off with mine. New Unit Tiers Ver.1.17 was also a bit of a disappointment update, it only gave ridiculously high medal units that maybe not worth their price (That's another debate however). To try something new, I'm going to place a Reason section right under the unit review, let me know if that helps or if you think its useless! Kyo Kusanagi: S- Rank Kyo is good. Currently S- good. He's a good support unit like the patrol bot albeit less range. The thing I love about Kyo is the fact he's a long range mortar sniper (Meaning his attacks ignores Airborne Melty Honey's ability of redirecting attacks into the Honey). He's also extremely easy to stack, as his special can help him avoid the MSA, the main threats to stack support units. However try avoiding his special, he opens himself way too open after the special. Only use it if you're willing to sacrifice one Kyo for a barrage of damage or use en masse when you can see the MSA coming so you can preserve the Kyo stack. Reason: Great stackability Mortar snipe One time (Usually) damage soaker Goro Daimon: S- Rank At first, I'll be honest, thought Daimon was gonna be the best unit in the update. My main disappointment came from the lack of damage from his special, but that complaint is absolutely minimal and will not affect his grade. With his normal and special attacks, he's a mix of the Bear's normal and the Elephant Slug's special with less damage but more range. He's extremely versatile as he can go melee and take a MSA to the face or be supportive and allow other units to set up to attack. If you manage to get some Daimon stacking going on, you should be able to take care of mortar really well and you can punish W. Mortar's moving special by releasing the special when they're moving (Always instant kill if the mortar soldier is moving) Reason: Melee unit High HP Great special Mortar counter Benimaru Nikaido: C Rank* Wait, what? Ranked lower than Leona, what is this madness? Yes, he is a tanky Leona, but that doesn't automatically make him better. The fact is, he takes way too long to attack and start running again. Also his special takes a long time as while. Yes, it gives him invincibility, but once that's over, you're letting the enemy to stack his units which is no bueno and Benimaru is mostly going to die after his special is over. Also like Leona, he's easily picked off by Winter Bazookas. But wait, what's the asterisk next to his tier? Its the normal asterisk indicating that he could be ranked higher if he had a deck built around him. Use Leona, special force rider, and Elite arabian soldier to get a good rush going. Reason: Slow attacks Needs deck built around him to be effective The movement in the tier list will be coming out soon, so be patient with that please!
Wow I'm surprised Kyo is in S- tier. Goro Daimon definitely deserves to be in S- and Benimaru is in a reasonable tier too. To me, Kyo would be near the bottom of the S- list then. Once again, thanks for the useful guide!
Hey I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to back up the app data for this game? Is it possible for a non-rooted android?
Someone told me to use "helium" that save the backup files in sd card in the folder "carbon". It does the backup (you'll find more or less 57 MB file of MSD in that folder) but I don't really know if they work as a backup when you need it, because luckily I never had to use backup files. you should try passing backup files through 2 different telephone and see if it work. I hope this can help you Nice work with the tier list Hyun.
I agree with Fra, I am backing this game up with helium, without a need to root your device, in fact I am using it as a mean to try units that purchased by medals, I just back up the game and buy a unit and try it in WiFi matches, and if that unit wasn't well, I just restore the game and buy another unit. I don't think that is kind of cheat, coz this trick doesn't give you any advantage in playing, it just lets you to try units in the same amount of your hard-earned medals before you can settle on one that most suite your style of playing..
Finally, I did some wifi battles and it was amazing. I lost most of it but it was fun. Current deck - Tar man - Elite Arabian Infantry - Iron Iso - Robot Morden - Cyborg Allen - Giant Caterpillar - Helicopter Slug - Flying Slug - Metal Rear - Robert Morden The last battle, I met a guy with Hi-do and double Honey Melty, both ground and flying version. My Iron Iso melt very, very, very fast. Metal Rear is non-existent mid game. I have only 161 medal left, but I haven't completed the campaign and mission yet. I think it's time I ask for a genuine recommendation. Which unit I should find to replace my current team? By the way, you can backup file?
You want to complete the campaign first and release everyone, thats the first thing I would do. No matter how good an unit is, you will get your face bashed in if you're not ready with the complete pow release. Now for unit recommendations, you can try the tier list and find the one you might want to put in, just don't go overboard thinking a deck composed solely of S- units will win you every game, cause it doesn't as you need a balance of all tier units.
