A little bit of comment for the 3 KOF guys so you can judge whether it worths each 300 medals Goro Daimon Lv30 HP7500 AP170 HA Ratio 44.1 Move Normal, Prod Speed Slow - The ONLY human unit in regular army to block MSA! - Got a very good HA Ratio making him a choice of walls - Only get a melee attack(kick), very high damage (1000+). However he's easy to flinch, so chances to make a kick is very small. - The signature of Daimon, I would say, is his special attack. It got a unbelievably low damage (around 300-600 depends on range), usually 1 hit is not enough to kill even a mortar. But it's like zombie vomit, i.e. long range and penetrable. But the cool down time is much quicker, so Daimon can always makes 2 attempts before he die. Most importantly, his attack has the ability to knock back all units that can be knocked back! So if timed accurately, he can just push back a dancing bear, or a rushing Elite Arabian Soldier. Benimaru Nikaido Lv30 HP4250 AP90 HA Ratio 47.2 Move Very Fast, Prod Speed Slow - If you think Leona is op (at least during opening), how about a guy with 20% more HP but just 10% more AP? - Nikaido walks as fast as Leona, his production speed is the same as Lenoa, and the special charge time is also the same as Lenoa. So basically he's a tougher Lenoa - Their normal and special attacks are quite similar too: melee with high damage. - Just a small difference on their special. Leona's Moon Slasher creates an invincible shield for a tiny moment. Nikaido's Raikouken absorbs only bullet fire in front of him. So theoretically an Elite Arabian/ Giant Catepillar can hit Nikaido but not Leona (but the time is so short that you can hardly time the attack). Moreover, Nikaido's Raikouken lasts longer (about a second), so it's not easy to say which is better. - If Leona solo is good, would that be even better to make Leona+Nikaido Double? After some VS testing, I am quite positive on this. Kyo Kusanagi Lv30 HP4500 AP140 HA Ratio 32.1 Move Normal, Prod Speed Slow - Kyo is just too like Ralf: penetrating special and a high damage melee attack afterward. - Only difference is that Ralf's flame shot is mid range but penetrable, while Kyo's Yamibarai is long range. - Ralf gets a slightly better HA Ratio (33.3). As Ralf is simply not a good choice in a deck, I can't see Kyo can perform anyway better neither.
kyo is great. doing his special while flaming his whole body he is invicible towards msa and msa passes through. then the release special strikes. anybody can confirm this too.
300 medals, aka 'twice the cost' for a 'slightly' better Ralf, a slightly tougher Leona and a slightly more resilient Marco zombie... I think I'll pass snk, don't think we don't know what your doing - trying to make up for the lack of sales on your previous, piss poor patch of units and getting us to spend the money saved here. At least hi-do was worth it..!
So whats the general consensus about them? If I already have the bear, is it worth it to replace him with Goro Daimon? Btw, how do you guys calculate the damage and does anyone have a spread sheet or data with the info (like the production rate seconds and damage) about all the units released?
If I have a choice, I'd rather have another similar base defense game with just KOF characters instead of seeing my favourite characters being crushed by the heavies and tanks, which is illogical to have human fighting against tanks with overpriced medal for how good they actually are. Design the game with something like having Rugal or Orochi as bosses instead. Some mid/big bosses like Kula or Orochi can still have their full screen ulti for global attack or knock back in the new game. Terry Bogard's Power Geyser x3 is penetratable behind front line etc. There's a whole new possibility here. Original KOF is 3~4 person with strikers (if any), here is 10 person, or maybe more depending on design. Then it'll be closer to original story of KOF where various teams joined the tournament to fight against the big boss(es). Nevertheless I'm excited to see which faction (PE? Morden?) Iori is going to be in this game.
So... I had my first 1vs1 wifi online game today since updating on iOS. What do you know... my very first opponent had ALL 3 of the new KOF characters. Now... I'm not rich, I'm poor, so I can't buy them. This guy brought all 3 KOF characters out first, and I had to use the standard stuff... Robot Morden, Cyborg Allen, General Morden, Jupiter King etc... heavy machinery pretty much. It started off very even, battling in the middle of the map... then my mechanical units began to slowly start overpowering his units and eventually forced them to his side of the map, before my shoe and elephant used their special attacks along with Mordens Carpet Bombs... and I did it pretty easily. These KOF characters are good... but honestly, if you use all 3 in your deck at the same time, you're asking for trouble, because they aren't as strong as your mechanical opponents and you're weakening your deck big time.
Does anyone have any techniques for beating Mission 8? The one with the snails? Also, is there any way to get rid of Ads? I did purchase some medals but Im still getting them.
There's a few videos on youtube showing how to beat certain missions. iirc to beat mission 8 you just have to time the special correctly. The snail is invulnerable in its shell.
I feel the next update is gonna be good, the japan team costs alot of medals if youre a free user.. but you could pick em up for a special package offer at the shop for some cash.. (if you want to save your medals ofc).. in my theory the next units is gonna be expensive as well(keesi?) for the freeusers, Snk is indirectly pushing us to spend our hardearned medals on some cool units today then boom, the next update theyll drop an even more cooler one(hopefully keesi) but will be expensive as well..what will you do at this point if you spend some 300medals+ on the previous update, simple.. theyre encouraging us to buy medals on a discounted price in the shop to cope up in the new one.. (Snk needs to earn too ya know ) for now its just my speculations, but the traces that ive come up with is the hackers using the kof units back before the update.. maybe something big is coming on its way on the next one
new question.. how is bear vs new kof units handle ONE on ONE? i know bear eats team ikari (leona, ralf, clark) for breakfast but i have no idea about the new ones.. edit: faced a hacker today.. he used daimon from the get go and one hits my base! man.. i can probably let the broken prod rate and keesi slide but this is too much . ..
I think the the new kof fighters are decent, but tar man is still a pretty good early spam. If your playing 2v2, countering the early rush should be oky if your partner isn't a noob. 2v2 is pretty tricky if its a small map. Kyo is the most interesting to go against because of his special So far I haven't had trouble with any of them (ignoring my losses due to idiot teamates who dont produce any units). Tar man still appears to me as one of the best early units
I wonder how the new KOF units rank in Hyun's tier list. Anyone want to take a guess? I don't own any, but based my experience against them online I would say they are all at least A
