The first level is fairly flat, platform-wise, but I’m hoping that other levels bring more verticality. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,918 672 113 England #5 psj3809, Jul 18, 2024 Yeah dare I say it so far so good. Level 1 was good. Playing level 2 now ‘So far’ I’m really enjoying it. Graphics are a nice polished update of the original style. Gameplays good. Had to be a catch ! Maybe single player is great and it’s just multiplayer we should worry about but enjoying this so far squarezero and mastery51 like this. But typical for free-to-play games of thos caliber, game is super easy for a long while, and I‘m expecting for big difficulty spikes to hit rather sooner than later. I deleted the game when after level 2.3 you‘re suddenly in an online hub seeing all other players. I would pay some serious money for a singleplayer offline Metal Slug with this production. But that world seems long gone. decript likes this. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,690 1,209 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #7 squarezero, Jul 18, 2024 That’s fair enough. We’ll see how long the game remains fun. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,717 964 113 #8 ste86uk, Jul 18, 2024 Tried it and didn’t really get the feeling that it was something I’d want to return to in the future. Being free to play added into that a lot, it always becomes an issue later down the line. I’ve played so many despite them being f2p and still got enjoyment out of them but this one wasn’t for me. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,918 672 113 England #9 psj3809, Jul 19, 2024 Yeah deleted for me. Got to level 3-2 early levels were superb. As you say when you get to the town and see all the players you know how it’s gonna go down. every level I was attempting kept saying I was underpowered. A screen popped up full of IAPs and gems and crap. Nah. Deleted sadly Remote_ Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze May 26, 2011 145 12 18 UK #10 Remote_, Jul 22, 2024 Same as you psj. I kind of thought it was coming, as it always does in these games, but it was no less disappointing when it did. No real skill involved for the most part and a desperate amount of iaps. Ah well. sebgo Well-Known Member Dec 26, 2010 765 342 63 Male 95% leisure. Somewhere in a town amidst the Amazon jungle. http://www.google.com #11 sebgo, Jul 22, 2024 I think we can't be optimistic about most free-to-play games, not even if they're based on respected franchises, especially when they're handled by other people (I mean, "HaoPlay", who the heck are they?); for me, most developers/publishers with a bunch of "free" titles in their catalogue are red flags and I'll surely pass on them. Good thing you guys got at least a bit of fun from your short experience, though; it's worth every penny, I suppose. :Þ (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
