Today I noticed that my iPod's orientation isn't responding. On top of that, my gyroscope controls have the left and right axis flipped. It may have been from a minor drop today, but I had a case even.

So am I able to get a new one under warranty? The rest of the iPod looks fine, it's just that flaw. Thanks.

Edit: nvm i just hit it real hard and it's fixed now. Though I'm a little scared as to how the condition will hold up.

Mods can lock this since it's useless now

Possibly a bad idea? Calling it now, coming back to bite you in the ass. Instead of a broken gyroscope, how would you like an EXPLODING IPOD TOUCH!?!?!?

    'Cause that's what's happenin.

If your accelerometer is off then I remember one of the members saying to hang it upside down and reset one of the settings and its supposed to make everything function correctly.

Hahaha, that was me. I can't believe that guy fell for it. I wonder if he actually did hang upside down from a tree? :D

My stuff has been okay ever since so it must have just been a weird bug.

The tree bit I thought was..Weird and didn't quite believe it haha. But I thought you were serious because there's plenty of weird fixes for iPods out there, I remember my sister's video iPod stopped playing music through the headphones, but if I put it in the fridge for a bit and took it out it would work for a few mins :p

    EDIT:

Btw, I too hope he tried to hang it from a tree lol

I own the 4G and my 'rometer would just lock up randomly. Whenever it happens I just power it off completely then power it back on, and it works again.
