Think borderlands without having to follow a story. You can play solo offline or have your game open for people to join you at any moment which will also scale the enemy difficulty.
Anyone got this working with a Moga controller? For me the guy just runs and rolls to the right like mad and no control input does anything. Resetting the controller (which seems to normally fix strangeness in other games) just insta-crashes Meltdown if reset during play, and makes no difference upon restarting the game. I did set 'gamepad' as the control option in settings...
New update is live, do a search in the App Store, select the game, then where it says "open/buy", says "update".
Wave Attack mode is fantastic. Intense, difficult, lots of enemies, ramps up quickly. It gives this game the kick that the campaign was lacking. Good job. Still hoping for adjustable attack buttons, still hoping for the SMG bullets to be aligned with the barrel of the gun, still hoping for a removal of all trucks and cars. I just saw a tractor trailer while playing Wave Attack, LOL.
Just ran into a glitch... Playing Wave Attack I died and then used a continue. When I was revived, I was then unable to collect any power-ups, ammo or coins that dropped. Needless to say, my game ended rather quickly since my weapons ran out of ammo.
I would normally choose to have auto-aim turned off in my dual sticks, but with Meltdown I feel the game works better with it on. Since the game has such an emphasis on tactical movements, having to focus on hitting the enemies with weapons and dodging and ducking and rolling is a little much. Similar to Apocalypse Max, the auto-aim feels natural in Meltdown and is definitely my preferred way to play.
I'm happily surprised to see my suggestion for an auto-aim toggle implemented. The game is certainly much harder this way, but it plays just as I hoped and felt it should. (And the fact that I can now switch between the two modes, and focus on either the tactical or the twitch-based aspects of the game depending on mood and in-game situation, is a big plus to Meltdown in general.) So thanks, Bulkypix!
I just picked this up and it's a cool little game. I don't fully understand the online play. It takes me to random levels, sometimes with other players, sometimes by myself. Other than that it's a great title with lots of content and fun gameplay.
Never tried it but had it on my watch list for ages, the update sounds good to me so downloading the app now in hope there will be more in the future.
Tried playing with two other players and they were flickering all the time and jumping like hell, with one it was fine. Problem with lagging connection?
That is a problem with a lagging connection on one of the players. We are working on a overhaul of the whole networking system so that it will work a lot better and also allow PvP modes in the future. This will be integrated in the following updates.
