Yeah, the co-op should branch out from the single player, not be the mode that defines the game. It definitely makes sense though how a person playing single player will look at the experience differently than the person who only plays multiplayer. In single player, things feel stagnant when there are no enemies spawning, which makes one notice the repetitive environments more (at least with me). In co-op, as I can only imagine, there is naturally more going on, which will naturally distract the player away from being as analytical as, well, myself.
Well I think the fact that the multiplayer is so seamless in this game that it kinda makes an exception.
This game needs a period of invulnerability after taking damage or being stunned, it's really quite jarring to get a whole life bar knocked out by successive unavoidable hits.
Hey, can you sync this game between devices? I played this game on my iPhone first and when I tried playing on my iPad (same game enter account) it started from the begining and I can't seem to find how to sync them.
I don't think that's possible as of right now. I believe someone said, in an earlier post, that iCloud support is being looked into. Yeah that sucks, and it does happen; however, if you level up your character the right way, and save lives, that is no longer an issue. I have about 25 lives at almost any given time, and I'm level 54, so it's really not a problem for me at all.
Totally agree I've died many times to being stun locked by grenades, which sucks. His game is fun but it needs new environments and an endless level for multiplayer to see how far u can get, it should get progressively harder and change environments as u go. The game now, while fun, will be dropped when max level and no new areas and stages, endless level would easily keep me coming back, new weapons too.
I actually think this adds realism, getting hit when you're down. It's also equalled out by the fact that you can do the same to the enemies. Recently I've been using the grenades to knock back the enemies while they're stunned, then rush up and do a melee attack right after. The main thing is, if you're knocked down, you're going to pay for it.
I dunno why the mp can't shine. I agree that the mp is funner than the sp, but really good mp will almost always be better than sp if done well. Just in this game, the mp is done marvelously.
But the game does have great mp. In fact, that's one of the best things about it. How can you judge a book with no cover?
Hehe. You mean judge a book by it's cover? My point is that co-op is meaningless to me. If anything it's just a bonus feature. Of course it strengthens the game overall having it, but it shouldn't be the most noteworthy aspect of the game. All of my comments in particular have been related to single player mode, a lot of which might be pointless to a person who only plays mp. To a person playing mp, you might not notice the boring environment as much, or the fact that there is not enough action in between spawning enemies, since mp provides you with a totally different feel.
I personally prefer this game single player as it's a much more challenging experience and makes it feel different from the other dual sticks out there. The multiplayer is more run and fun mayhem which is also very enjoyable, and unique for its own reasons
Why shouldn't it be the main feature? It is the main thing in games like call of duty which cost 60 bucks, have tons of sequels and allow them have short boring single player campaigns.
I would have enjoyed the game a lot more if MP wasnt broken from day one. Now interest has died and unless this new update brings more than just MP stability, meh. Is it me or is this update taking forever to go through?
