Oh, and I think the issue people are having with the melee/roll being in one button is that you end up being in the middle of a hectic situation and you have to remind yourself to stop so it will switch over to the melee attack. It's hard to be in the heat of battle and remember that middle step. You can't move your character and melee simultaneously, which is somewhat counterintuitive, especially when I end up rolling when I want to melee. It would be more fluid with a separate melee button, but the implementation is done really well with the one button mechanic.

I also like how you switch back and forth from melee to ranged attack. This is huge for when your weapons overheat ;)

this is why as I progressed into the later and more difficult stages of the game, where a few hits or "up close and personal" encounters inevitably led to death or near-death... I gave up melee all together. I simply roll far enough away to snipe mobs to death or just blow them to smithereens using my grenade launcher. Using melee seemed more like a gimmick and "show-off" move at that point, as I gain nothing from the extra experience, and usually put myself in a far more compromising position by being defenseless for a few seconds

Crashing at mission 4, it is unplayable. Shame really

When multiple robots are hugging you (they sometimes spawn right on top of you in extreme CC), it seems impossible to roll.

I actually do like the melee (and yes, it is riskier, but you are rewarded for doing melee kills) but I definitely think it would be a more natural feel with a separate button for it.

That has been my experience as well, and its frustrating as hell to die that way

how far along are you? I only ask because as I have stated, if I try using melee now (level 54) on quickplay levels, it is completely and utterly useless as you receive no reward whatsoever, and do hardly any damage at all

What if melee also made extra coins/power ups drop based on enemy level? There's a leaderboard for coins.

Or a melee kill streak timer that works like fury's that increases the percentage of coin drops

Doesn't it say at the top of the screen when you do a melee kill that you get more xp? You are further than me, but I don't see that as something that would disappear. That would be strange if it did. Maybe it disappears if you have everything maxed out and upgraded...

    "Melee Kill! Extra XP: 11"

At level 54 you stop seeing any exp related message, so nothing appears at the top of the screen when you do any of the special actions like a melee kill, double kill, etc... The voice still chimes what you've done, but you receive nothing for it... at the end of the level your total exp gained shows a 0, as well.

Honestly though, how much of an incentive is a leaderboard? Especially when people with Android phones or other means can just hack a realistic looking number rather than 1,000,060.... meaningless to most gamers, I would think.

Wow, that is interesting. Do you have all your weapons maxed out?

Speaking of maxing out weapons, I just realized you can only go so high with the upgrade points and then you have to reassign. Very interesting. I like this in that it forces you to try different configurations, but at the same time you have to open up the one upgrade before you can use the other. I want to dump all my upgrade points into the higher upgrades, but can't do that.

  14. Yeah, it is different from most games, you have to think about what upgrades you want.

Anyone want to play a little soon? Got a little free time finally.

Yeah, all weapons owned, all weapons maxed, sitting on a ton of cash and upgrade chips... It's kind of like, ok, what now?

I still enjoy running through a level or two as when you get on a roll, with the music, the game instils a real sense of "I'M A BADASS"...but it fades as you're no longer progressing towards any tangible goal

Yeah, known bug.. Devs admitted to mistakenly putting the cap at 54... hopefully this is addressed in the next update but I don't believe it was mentioned

I also noticed that despite 3 starring a few missions, that achievement never unlocked either

I am also having trouble with the entrepreneur achievement. The game says I have it, but Game Center says I am at 99%. 5000 is needed but I have well over 60k now.

Two answers: Survival mode and a cash sink. Mountain Sheep thought ahead with this issue for Minigore 2. When you max everything, you can use the money you keep getting and spend it on consumable items with in-game currency only. Having something to spend money on after you upgrade and max out is important and adds longevity to the gameplay.
