.... That in no way means the game will go free

You'll be thankful for covers when you face two snipers and a machine gun drone at the same time. The enemies that want to get close to you are actually the easiest.

As for IAP.... I maxed out my weapon upgrades and I finished the campaign on my iPad in three hours. And I had 15 lives to spare.

Two more hours on my iPhone and I'm level 39 and max upgrades on all weapons I want (since I had all them upgraded on the iPad, I knew which one I wanted to max first on the iPhone).

And no coins or experience doubler here.

By the way... Monster Adventure by Foursaken is a premium game with consumable IAP. Random Heroes 2 is a premium game with consumable IAP, etc, doesnt mean they're necessary. Get over it.

Just figured out how the upgrades stages work on the weapons: you don't need to upgrade the same attribute three times to get the next in line, you just need to have three on that row, then you can access the next row. For example, you can put all three into one (such as Nanite ammo on the smg) or one or two on one and the rest on the other (so example, one into heatsink and two into Nanite ammo), then that opens up the next row (with heavy barrel and rapid fire).

Thought this was worth passing on as I was maxing out my first row of attributes because I thought I needed to do both before I could get to the next row - then was surprised when it wouldn't let me go past level 9 for the gun. Now I reset the stats and have the smg more where I'd like it.

Skills probably work different though - I have not paid to reset those so am not totally sure, but I think those ones you do have to max each attribute for the upgrade path you want to then be able to put points in the next skill in that column. You don't have to put them all into one path, but it does look like you need to max the first attribute of that path before you can put any points into the second one, and so on. From what I've read here, after the update, you will be able to get all the skill points needed to eventually max out all three skill paths anyway - it will just affect your gameplay (ie. affected by what paths you choose) until you get maxed out.

I think I have more an issue with the auto-crouch while I'm walking. I find that to be extremely distracting and awkward. The concept of stealth, however, is welcome with me in just about any game. I'm just wondering if it is implemented well here.

I never claimed that the IAP were needed. I said they were present, in a game I paid for. I don't want consumable IAP in a game I paid for, whether it be .99 cents or 99 dollars. This is totally set up to go free, you'll see.

Although I don't like meleeing when I wanna roll sometimes, I like the cover system and doesn't get in my way (the melee-roll system did tho).

I started using cover a lot more after harder enemies appeared (rocket drones, sniper and machine gun robots - those enemies won't try to get close to you).

Anyway as I said... Plenty of premium games with consumable IAP. If I bought the lives or coins here to upgrade my weapons to the max fast, it'd have made little difference, only would've made the game easier.

Now for the examples I mentioned (Random Heroes and Monster Adventures), although I still don't find the IAP there necessary, paying for then would dramatically reduce the time for me to pimp my characters out, compared to this game. Honest opinion, I had so much fun with this game that if I thought the coin doubler would help me a lot id have bought it.

Yeah, see I don't think consumable IAP have any place in a game that is paid for up front. It's a matter of purity. I simply don't like being asked to pay to buy more continues. I'm not in the arcade; I bought this game. I own it.

It isn't at all because it's set up that no one needs to buy them! Why does it matter to you that there's IAP if there's no reason that you would need to buy them?

I understand but a LOT of the premium games praised by everybody here has consumable IAP. See Foursaken which everybody loves.

This game is so easy that the coin doubler (which is non consumable btw) would hardly mattered to me. Plus as I said I average 10 lives so it's not like you can only buy lives, there were 7-minute stages that gave me 6 lives from 3 mistery boxes. Easier and faster than getting essences in Monster Adventures for example.

Am I the only one having issues controlling this game on my iphone?

The virtual controls work great in my iPad, but seem quite clumsy and unresponsive in my iphone 5s. I switched to the touch controls, though it sacrifices ease for precision.

Also, no cloud syncing? So I have to manage two separate games on my devices?

Next, multiplayer seems quite buggy. Game keeps crashing when I try to join a game.

Also, this may seem like a noob question, but is it possible to delete my character and restart from scratch?

They've sent out an update to (hopefully) fix all the crashing issues.

And if you want to restart your character and your weapons you can delete and reinstall the app.

Or if you just want to get all your skill points back and reassign them then there is a reset button for that. This won't reset weapon purchases/upgrades though

From an artistic standpoint, I wish the stream of bullets didn't appear so far away from the barrel of the gun with the SMG and Heavy MG. They either appear high above the barrel or to the left or right, depending on the perspective. This looks sloppy.

Does anyone feel that the game appears to have a poor frame rate as you walk? Maybe this is just the design of the game, but it tends to bother my eyes when I'm walking. Standing still, no problem.
