Think this may have gone from disorientating to Top 10 ios game since I first picked it up. Most dreamlike thing I've ever played.
My new game Hi all, Just wanted to show you guys my new project. It's a new flyer, please watch in 720/60, or else it wlll look very choppy. It's interesting to see the difference between 30 fps and 60! I'm looking for ideas and suggestions from people who enjoyed Melodive... Cheers! Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
I just played this earlier for the first time and I felt like I was tripping so hard on the phosphorescent space mushrooms, you must have been inspired on something or what not. It's so insane on an iPad. I was spinning out of control constantly which is so much fun. A fantastic out of control trip through another world. Have you thought of adding gyroscope controls?
Hehe, I had some good help from som medicinal plants... If you read the reviews on the App Store, you'll se a lot of people picking up on that! Of course it's meant to be very psychedelic, I don't understand the need for realism in games... Good to hear that you can enjoy not having control! But have you seen my tutorial-video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ccf0ubhebLc It has some pro-tips that is good to know, like the "corkscrew"-maneuver. I did try it to get 3-axis control, so you could yaw at the same time as tilting and pitching, but it didn't work. The gyroscope is pretty shitty imo and will drift constantly. That means you have to turn around while playing, not very game-friendly!
I did, but it didn't get any traction, because I couldn't embed the youtube-video because of technical glitch in the forums, but they have fixed it now, so I have updated the post. Have a look: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=3428762
https://koffeeklaud.wordpress.com I've recently published a review of Melodive on a blog of mine and the above link is yours to take. Enjoy
Hey thank you so much for this! Great review! It's so very heartwarming and inspirational to read. Good luck with your blog, your writing is very special!
Thank you. It's equally heartwarming to have a talented developer read over my review. I will keep close watch on your next work, Fugl! Cheers!
The Fugl-thread is here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=246999 Where are you based btw? 6500 feet?
I'm a UBC student from Vancouver and I found myself appreciating your work in great many levels I recently discovered when writing about things I enjoy discussing, I can have short moments of pure glee in between my college life, which is the reason why I started a blog!
