The charm is ridiculous, Martin. This game deserves accolades. It's got so much going for it. My kids love it, too. Will play around with the editor tonight... But it's just fantastic so far, simply fantastic.
That's my favourite level of yours so far (although I haven't made it down the other side successfully yet).
You're right. Thanks! So good to hear this!! Great obstacle courses, all of these, so much to do! What's the trick to get down safely in WALL-B? In other news, submitted.
In WALL-B you need to tap the spinning blocks at the right moment, you need to be standing near the right, and just tap when it's lined up, you need a few goes though.
Haven't tried again. I've been getting my Warbits on, if I'm honest! Edit: just had another couple of goes and didn't manage it again. Feel like I'm getting closer, but it takes a while to grt back up there again!
Not yet, I half expect something to go wrong, requiring me to resubmit. Speaking of things going wrong, I got a bug report about B missing from a level. This got me thinking. After I reordered the levels, here are the ones without B: - 19 Robo Rally - 35 Bot Pot - 39 Team Work - 48 Need a Nudge Perhaps it's a problem that Robo Rally (previously named Holo Chess) is the first level with B missing because there's only one (red) robot. You could easily miss that the robot's color is different and think it's a bug that it walks on its own and ignores your taps! So maybe I should add B, futilely walking around the lower (currently under-water) platform? Or a couple of other red bots to make the player realize that the bot they're trying to control is just another red bot? On the other hand, maybe then they'll think B, or the extra red bots, are vital to the puzzle's solution and get stuck trying to figure out what to do with them, when in reality they're really redundant? Comments? Ideas?
Just did the update and the Facebook button works great got straight to the Mekorama page. About the 4 levels where B is missing, why won't you make 4 new levels with B, I think that would be the easiest solution, but it's just my thought.
I like the levels without B. I think adding him to Robo Rally would be more confusing, for the reasons you say. The hint for Robo Rally already helps so I'd leave it.
Good to hear! Haha, believe you me, this is not the easiest solution I agree. But hints require that you pay something (anything). I expect 99% won't :ยด(
What about a little tutorial saying only the yellow robot is controlable and not the red one. Maybe you can make an extra page in the book menu to explain the yellow robot and the red one, makes the book even thicker, it's just an suggestion.
I would say, make sure it is clear in the app description or anywhere text exists that controlling B is not the only objective. Maybe create a level around 2 or 3 in the list that introduces this concept much earlier to the player?
I didn't even notice the "free camera" option in settings. The camera is one of the things that's been frustrating me about the game. Does "free camera" allow you to see other angles, or just to move it the same direction but fewer degrees? I can't find any way to move the camera up or down. If there is a way, I'd love to know.
