I tried out Mega Weather thanks to the awesome developers who gave me a code. I first want to apologize for not posting my impressions sooner as I originally intended. Here are some positives and wishes (I am a 6th Grade School Teacher so I am never negative, thus "wishes"). Positives: First of all, MegaWeather is easily the best looking weather application out there. It is amazing how much information they were able to fit on your screen and still make it look very balanced, structured, and aesthetically pleasing. The option to add multiple cities that can easily be scrolled through at the bottom of the screen is awesome. If you are going on vacation, you could enter a city in each state you will pass on your trip and check out the weather as you are passing through. I like being able to have my hometown saved as well as the cities I have family in. Heck, I could even enter the city of my favorite sports team to see if weather could affect the game that night. The moving radar is also very nice. I can look at a storm front and see how it will project over the next 36 hours. Pretty cool feature. Wishes: I really wish there was a local weather video or audio stream for your city. This is a great feature in TWC application, however, they do have the means to have live video since THEY ARE TWC. That is their job. If there were any way to connect to local news stations weather feeds on their websites or somehow piggyback TWC vide feeds, that would be awesome. However, I can see how adding live weather videos could be difficult with licensing and stuff. I would also love to see a National Weather Service audio stream of some kind. I would be great to be able to stream either Weatherband Radio or at least listen to streams from the National Weather Service. That could be very beneficial if the power is down and you need a weather update. Overall, great app which has a lot of bells and whistles, but could use maybe a few more to be the hands down best. I look forward to continually using this application and checking out any future updates.
