    Nice looking app!

Definitely has replaced the default weather app for me:

    [IMG][IMG]

Which would you rather see?

This is the first weather app I've downloaded, and I really like it.

This app sports spiffy graphics, and it's more friendly than Apple's Weather app to add/order cities. It is also nice to see location names and flag graphics at the bottom so you can better see what you are scrolling to (Apple's Weather app just has the page dots.)

Two things stand out to me:

    1) The one thing you do get in the default app is today's high/low. Both programs display high/low for the following six days.

    2) When not connected to the internet, the default app thinks for a bit and then gives you "update failed" while MegaWeather gives you:

...over and over again. At least sometimes. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice if the message only hit once, or better yet, just float back to the spiffy world view and say something along the lines of "Unable to retrieve weather data."

I'd recommend this app to anyone who is longing for a little bit more information about today's weather and much nicer graphics - much more like looking at TV weather graphics than the rather spartan Apple Weather app.

    Impressions of Megaweather

I heartily agree with drelbs about replacing the Apple Weather with this. I think designed for quick reference, at multiple sites - it displays the globe with a pin in it, and gorgeous graphics.

One can quickly see that a lot of attention to detail went into this app. Things are laid out with all the information that you need. Has a "Comfort" temperature, that is what the temp feels like, based on humidity, etc. Barometric Pressure, humidity, even dew point is included. A lot of information.

There is even a link to e-mail!

The menu with City Manager is extremely easy to use, and the list of places is truly remarkable. I even tried Diego Garcia (you US Navy people will know THAT place) and it shows up! First weather app I have tried that recognizes the name.

You can put pins all over the world, and then swipe the flags at the bottom (very cool, having the actual country flags to spin through) to go to your preferred place. Or, you can swipe the globe and spin that as well. Again, you can stop at any place on the globe, and the nearest pin you have placed will show the weather.

I only have 1 complaint - while spinning the globe - if you stop at an area with a couple of pins, the flags will cycle rapidly trying to figure out where to stop presumably. You have to tap a flag at the bottom to make it stop.

If people are looking for detailed weather - radar reports, etc. This app is not designed for that - but my one suggestion would be if you could tie into that information - that would be AWESOME!

I can't get rid of my AccuWeather app just yet due to that, but this is a wonderful weather app, and probably the best designed casual weather information screen that I have ever used. For this type of application, I heartily rate it a 5 star. Great job.

Wow, I love how it has all that information on the screen

Is there an option to see some kind of radar view? The only reason I use WeatherBug is because it allows me to see a local map with the rainstorms visible

What's the difference between this and Deluxeware Weather?

  10. This a different apps, with self features. Importnat feature is a touched and slide interface for MegaWeather.

Deluxeware Weather is a porting app from PalmOS
Megaweather app what use in full power - iPhone/iPod features.

One more comment on not showing today's high & low: I noticed that sometimes today is the first day shown at the bottom left, maybe what I'm seeing is due to time zone differences...

Also, you can spin the globe to select locations as well as sliding them around at the bottom, which I ran into on accident!

Apps like this really make me wish I could "turn off" other Apple default apps (like Nike+iPod) so they wouldn't take up space.
