Wicked game! Just wish I could figure out how to get my Bluetooth controller to work on my phone for maximum pleasure
if it's not an MFI controller, the game wouldn't support it even if you did get it to work :/ (so things like the old iCade and such most likely won't function).
there are a bunch of perma-unlocks to get when you playthrough - "just" 4 worlds! so world 3 is pretty far in the game in perspective and they make it "Easier" current version (v1.4) also made world 3 a bit easier, and there's a huge update coming in v1.5 which adds about 25% more level-layouts (different layouts for all worlds) and those include some more changes/improvements to world 3 layouts. So it might become easier with those.. we'll see if it needs more balancing after that v1.5 should be live somewhere end of next week (also flips A and X buttons on MFI controllers.. yay!)
Yeah I think my controller was only iCade compatible or something. I just bought a steel series nimbus though and it works well!! I feel like the jump and action buttons are around the wrong way for me (since jump is more commonly used id prefer it was the lower A key and not the X) but once used to it the game plays wonderfully # Edit: just read the post about the button flip!
with every playthrough (completion of end-boss) you get a perma-item. So gravity-disc, the various weapons, jetpack, etc are all unlockable as perma-items. perma-items are permanently unlocked and you get to pick your favorite on every new game start
Okay that awesome. Just need to beat the game now lol Anyone else beat the game yet??? Made it to level 4 but those falling orange things killed 5 lives in 10 seconds
Version 1.51 is now live! here's the change list: - fix critical bug: perma-unlocking classic visor would crash next games - fix (gamepad users) added left/right trigger for inventory cycling (all platforms) - fix disabled up-to-jump on gamepads - fix swapped A and X button - fix EMP being able to destroy end-boss - fix special-world icon-aligning in gameover screen - fix slight increase in touch-controls area - fix rare case where robots would still spawn, even after killing robot-master brain - fix "hostile detected" message not popping up anymore if security-drone hack is active changes On top of all that the game now comes with 25% more level layouts/content. The game builds levels from designed templates, and I've been hard at working cranking out a LOT of extra templates, and also modifying original ones for more variation between worlds. So go check it out as you might find some fresh new designs making it easier to complete the game
oops! I broke the replicator shops in the current build :/ (as if the game isn't hard enough!) pushed an update to fix it. (spawn rate on crates is a little higher tho, so it kinda evens out until v1.52 lands - hoping Tuesday)
Wheeeee I beat the game for the first time this weekend! (before the new update) I was visiting family, where my wife's grandmother has no wifi access, so I beat the game and got pumped and then realized that I couldn't brag about it until we got home. XD I'm excited to play the new level templates. Good luck everyone!
With the fixes and improvements for mfi gamepads, and the new added content, I am "bigly" impressed with your support for your new Meganoid! . I have a ridiculous backlog at this point, but every time I have bought and played your games I have gained far more in entertainment than I have spent. I have bought most of your previous releases at launch, but missed this one. I'm going to pick this up on payday and look forward to all of your future updates! Looks like a really fun take on the originals (I have both).
I finally bought the game! Toucharcade's review of it had me a bit skeptical at first, but this game did not disappoint! I would have given it 5/5, great work!
Late to the Game Considering grabbing this game but wondering if the difficulty curve has been adjusted. I don't mind a game that tests my capabilities, but I don't want a $4.99 dose of frustration either. Also, are the Mfi controls solid now? What do you guys & girls think about the game now? Still loving it? Hating it? Maybe somewhere in between? Sorry I missed the sale. At .99 I'd surely jump in. Thanks for any input.
Sort of necrobump but I bought the game yesterday looking for something action and I feel like an idiot for not buying it before. Im really really digging it, brutal but I feel Im progressing steadily (almost at world 3). The hardest part was finding a good position for the controls (which you can completely customize), then it was almost impossibile to put it down. Really digging the graphics and sounds, you really feel in a not so abandoned spaceship. Tons of items and new things to find and ways to die at every corner. iPhone X full support was a nice addition too. Highly reccomened.
Does anyone knows what exactely the visor does? Should show me some secrets but I probably didnt understand how to use it. IMMENSELY enjoying the game anyway.
