Bought the remove ads IAP. It still shows ads in the top left corner over the main, pause and game over menus. Edit: played another round. It also still asks me if I want to watch an ad for 6 extra seconds after game over. What exactly was the point of the IAP then? What a scam.
Faffery, my point exactly! I expected to get rid of that "watch an ad to add 6 seconds" popup by purchasing No ADS for 0,99€, but it's still there after each race. What's the point of getting rid of those ads than? Also I can confirm there's still bubble in the upper left corner with ads to other Chillingo games. Am I being scammed or what?!
Hey everyone, I'm really sorry about this. We're working on an update to fix the crashing issue and we're hoping to release it as soon as possible. In the meantime, we do have a temporary fix. If you sign into Facebook in the game or sign out of Game Center, it should fix the issue. Once again, apologies for any inconvenience caused by this bug. I haven't had any crash issues so far (iphone 5) and I've played the hell outta this game. I bought the remove ads IAP and it removed all the ads for me. The bubble in the top left corner on the main screen is for chillingo games. From what I've seen lately with ad removal IAPs is that it doesn't count when promoting their own games. It's not just Chillingo. I'm digging the hell out of this game though.
When you buy the IAP does that get rid of ads and the "watch this to get more time"? Before downloading I'm just curious if this is "premium"
NO Gamecenter login, NO Facepoop login = No crashes Ad-removal IAP, doesn't remove upper left corner chillingo ad - confirmed.
Even if you buy IAP to remove ads, you still have to see popup window with "watch an ad to get 6 more seconds" and ad bubble in the upper left corner in the whole menu and during the pause in-game. Only ads you remove with NO ADS IAP for 0,99 are occasional fullscreen ads displayed after couple of runs (approx. 3? I didn't count them). Anyway, this is the most useless ads removal IAP I've ever purchased and the moment I've got the invoice for it I'm requesting refund. No way I'm accepting this!
I wouldn't mind if the Chillingo game ads were hidden behind a "more games" button, or at least designed to fit in the UI properly, but look at that. It even covers a bit of the UI! Granted, it doesn't touch any buttons, but that's just obnoxious.
This game crashes more than the racers in-game. Bada Ching! I'll be here all week folks...Be sure to tip your waitress! Seriously though, I feel so bad for Chillingo. This one could've really put them back on the map, but in its current state will only alienate gamers
I downloaded this first thing this morning and wasn't to impressed and deleted it straight away. But after downloading it again (after seeing neons impressions) I'm having a ton of fun with it, so much so I paid to remove the ads. It could do with a bit bigger of an indicator as to when to drift but other than that it's a nice and easy pick up an play game.
Because you re-downloaded and didn't mention any crash issues, I figured what the heck...give it a try. That didn't work, BUT paying attention to the dev post about signing into FB did stop it from crashing. So, that's the workaround folks. This game is fun!
Told ya! You gotta give it a couple minutes to grow on ya. I wasn't super impressed right away because I think I was expecting something like Smash Bandits or something, but after I figured out that it was its own thing, I really liked it. It's my new go to game for the moment. Definitely a surprise hit for me. Oh, no crashes here either. Wait, I had one crash I think. I shut the game down to answer a call (I forgot this device was for things other than gaming) and when I came back to the game, it crashed. Luckily I don't have any friends, so I won't have to worry about that issue much. Lol
Oh my, ingenious workaround. Care just enough to post this and to say this game is garbage imo. Mind u, just my opinion.
