the graphics certainly look nice
smth like Castle Conflict but with brilliant graphics
also looks like it has more depth
do you have a video?
Wow.....Tower defense...Hmm...I'll wait for some reviews first..
What is this? iShoot meets TD?? I feel the FIRST THING a developer should do it make a YouTube video of their game. It's 2009 after all, you just made an iPhone game...not that hard.
This one looks nice but I have to many T.D. games. what makes this game different?
I think it came out sooner than they expected.. nothing has been updated yet.
http://www.o l m o b.com/
and I was hoping for a classic port of the playstation title
Technically, it's more like Defend Your Castle, not Tower Defense, which is typified by Fieldrunners.
Actually, I'm wrong too. It's neither. Maybe there is no name for the sub-genre, but as was mentioned, [app]Castle Conflict[/app] and also [app]The Wars[/app] are both similar to this.
Yeah, but Dave, this is ALL the small developers it seems lately. Look at Crush Bunny which looks great, and the TriDefense. No video.
What are the Developers doing for a week while waiting for approval???
Get VIRAL man! Sell your game if its the "stuff"!
Anyhow, FWIW, I think this gui is nice and clean. I'm excited to hear some reviews since it's NOT 99cents....
Well, that's the problem. It may be obvious to us, but not to them. Depending on your job, you have a different mindset, and with devs (and I'm generalizing), marketing is usually secondary. It's not an excuse, just a fact.
Maybe the videos will dampen urge to buy?
Had I not seen the video for Zombies and Me, there's a high chance I'll just take the plunge..
Precisely, I looked, and happily decided to skip that game
Well, where experience is KING, I really rely on the comments/reviews of Arn; Hodapp; Big Albie and everyone else including the Academy geesh where's this goin???
Anyhow, that's why I'm such a big fan of TA, and now so recently an active member. Videos are a close second for me to decide where even 99cents go, with an average turnover of 3 days for an app on average so they say? I mean, I can drop $12 dollars right now/daily. That adds up. As anyone including Albie just mentioned, different tastes for different folks. I bot Enviro Bear because of RAVE reviews. Well, i got to third level, and GF is bored with it. It last 15 minutes. But Must.Eat.Birds, geesh, no matter how much I play Doom, some games you just gotta get another round in, and they're 99cent games.
Just imagine a year from now, or two years, with AUGMENTED REALITY games using the Magnemeter et al.!!!!
the genre is a castle defense, but not a defend your castle style real time action
think warfare-1917: http://armorgames.com/play/2267/warfare-1917
or on the iphone The Wars, Castle Conflict
I actually like the genre
there are also turn based variations to this genre, that you play with cards, to an extent the iphone game: Strongholds could fit into this but that is a stretch
your best comparision would be warfare-1917, the wars, and castle conflict
the graphics look good, i want to see a video to see how the AI is balanced
