Same here. The way I see it, I will get a lot of gift cards from friends on Christmas, and my birthday, which happens to be early December. I think I'll buy it then, along with many other titles. I think what you're thinking of there is "Search and Destroy". Disarm the bomb with one life left and such. I hope this will have that mode too. Along with capture the flag, Command Post, Pop a Cap, and a co-op (players vs. AI Terrorists).
wish they could add a mp7, sa80 (l85a2), Desert Eagle, Sig Sauer P228, and a m4a1! But I highly doubt that Gameloft will be adding online multiplayer for Modern Combat... They have way too many games coming up this year so they will probably not have enough time to put that in...
on the other thread people say it was announced, so i guess gameloft has to commit to this. maybe they'll assemble a seperate team to work on it?
I dont mind if this multi-player modern combat does not come out because im looking forward to LIVEFIRE/ELIMINATE/KILLTEST!!!!!!!!!!!!! which is especially made for multi-player online.!!!

What the ****? Did you just accuse me of trash-talking Gameloft because I'm a rival developer in disguise? Dude, get ****ed. I can have an opinion and still be a real person. While Gameloft has done some impressive things on the iPhone, they are still only mere rip offs of bigger games that would be 10x better if brought to the platform officially.

YESSSS! its coming lets hope it has good game modes, cause thats what it needs if it wants to compete with eliminate and nova hopefully CTF and VIP
It doesn't need to compete with nova (from the devs perspective) because they are both from Gameloft . But yeah, screw 'Eliminate'. I am fed up with the name changes, the game design changes and the wait. Gameloft FTW! Stick to rolando, ngmoco:-(

You will probably find that Nova is using the same engine as modern combat, and the same netcode. Both seem to look like they will play differently though.
Before search and destroy there was "counterstrike"... I think this game multiplayer can be recreated on the Iphone perfectly, when you're buying weapons and such. I prefer the 'one life' game modes, and it makes for quick rounds.
hope many modes to come even if it's free update,did they mention about online multiplayer?or just local?coz i think their online FPS will be NOVA
