Pretty stoked with this port. It's only "flaws" that I can see are some really obviously low resolution textures and low polygon models... But, consider this was all originally developed when 1600x1200 was an impossibly high resolution reserved for only the most expensive monitors, and actually running a game at that resolution? Forget about it. You can't really expect Remedy and/or Rockstar to go through and redo textures and models for a game being sold for $3. *shrug*
Why, of course! Can't believe I haven't visited Ragna Rock in at least a decade. I'm pretty stoked that Rockstar actually released this in Lebanon. I wonder how those low res textures and polygons translate to the iPhone 4/4S screen. Gotta be much less apparent, right?
Good choice, IB2 is super boring anyway. I dont know how such a snoozer can be considered amazing! In most fighting games, your character is the one who can do the cool move and get cool upgrades to do even better awesome moves. In IB 1&2, you character only slashes, dodges, and blocks while the enemies are the ones unleashing cool new moves. Lame!
Definitely don't wanna turn this into a Max Payne vs. Infinity Blade argument, but considering this is a port of a full PC game that I've held near and dear to me (and man did it suck trying to get both MPs to work on Windows Vista >_>), I really didn't have a problem deleting both Infinity Blades. I'm not gonna say that they're boring or bad games, but I'm not at much of a loss. Either way, if I have a change of heart and decide to come back to them in the future, they're always available. EDIT: IB II update out. 930mb. Phew...glad I deleted it.
Well... You should save before you step on the bloody tracks^^ I fell a few times, but if i remember correctly, that also happened to me with mouse and keyboard^^ But yes, those sequences - and other similar tasks, like following that bleeding dude on the rooftops - are imho the one, single instance in which this port falls behind the original PC version, everything else feels as if the game was meant to be played on an iPad^^
I'm downloading it now as I speak. Working for Remedy you can see why I'd have an interest to play this (as we didn't work on this port) but this is the game that made me want to work for the company and now having it in the palm of my hands? Crazy!
Just finished with the first level. Definitely a keeper, though having cloud saves would be nice since I could see deleting it after I finished a play through, and it would be nice to be able to re-install this later and get my old saved game back. Unlike GTA III, which is free roam, I can't really justify keeping a 1.3 GB game on my device when I am not playing it (like how I just now removed Infinity Blade II since I don't think I have played it much since it was released). With GTA III and now Max Payne out, please tell me GTA: Vice City is next
I finally got it working after updating iTunes, restoring my iPad and downloading it again. Lol. But I'm sure these issues are just my bad luck. Graphics looks much better than they ever did on PS2
It took 8 minutes for the Remedy logo to show up for me. And that was when it worked. Rebooted and same thing happened again but it hung forever. There's something amiss somewhere but now that I've saved the game it seems to work fine.
Ok yea 8 minutes is too long, hopefully they fix this bug soon. And let us look around while shooting!
