Welcome to Gabrien posts. You can add him to your ignore list here- http://forums.toucharcade.com/profile.php?do=ignorelist
I agree people should ignore him if they dont care to hear what he has to say. I just messaged him the other day thanking him. Often people are too busy gushing and a more critical opinion is welcome. ON topic, I never played this game, might give it a try... wait until I hear more about how controls work etc.
I enjoy reading, but playing a game that has a good story is worlds different to playing a game with no story. I want to know what happens next, I need to finish this level etc etc. It's simply a blast playing a game with a good story compared to a game with a shit story or no narrative at all. With Max Payne, it was like being in a movie. You are right, they probably would "laugh their asses off at" me. Maybe it's just me, thinking that my 3GS running Max Payne is quite the technological achievement, even if the game is 13 years old and used to run on my desktop computer. Maybe it's just the tone I'm getting from all of your posts in this thread, but they seem full of arrogance as if you know that Rockstar have wasted their time making such a port. Am I being paranoid in saying that you weren't trying to be offensive when you said "Whenever somebody mentions story or narrative in a video game as its main draw, I wonder how long it's been since they've picked up a book."? Sure as heck seems to me as though you were being condescending. It's out in the Australian store! $2.99! EDIT: I'm glad I'm not the only one in thinking this Gabrien person is a stuck up arrogant prick. So, am I right in thinking that he is disliked by many on this forum? Pathetic. Thanks for the handy link.
Thank you, he's the only person on the ignore list. Getting back on track, I looked at the gameplay of Max Payne and boy does it bring back memories of playing it back in the day. Quite a short game from what I remember but Bullet time reminded me of The Matrix movie, so I loved it. Wish it had free roam.
I am the only one alittle disappointed that they don't have the shell/casing ejection from the gun? I feel thats one of the really cool things of the Max Payne series is that they had the casings and clips on the ground after a fire fight

Just about any decent novel will hands down outshine anything ever penned for a video game specifically. And the story lines of the Shmups that you love are quite riveting indeed.
It's showing up under recent releases in the UK store, in dollars. If you tap it, it says it doesn't exist and if you purchase it, it says it's being modified.
Definitely buying this as soon as it comes out. I have to admit though, I never played any games in this series before. I played a lot of GTA III in college, so I was familiar with that game when it landed in the app store. Looks good though.
I was born in 1995. the Xbox came out in 2001. I was 6 when the xbox came out. Max payne came out after the Xbox was released in 2003 so there for i was 8 but i didnt play until i was 12ish. Get your facts straight before you attempt to troll again.
I fail to see the significance of his/her's Birthdate as to their disappointment over a missing part of MP
