Over the last two years the Team back at Distinctive Games has constandly improved their NHL Games up to a Level where you can pretty much buy any of their newer Hockey Game of the last two years without risking to don`t enjoy playing the Game at all. Depending on which Game you will buy you will get in return either a Hockey Game with an NHL License or like in the case of Matt Duchene's Hockey Classic a Game where you play a more International focused Mobile Hockey Game. The overall presentation of the Game is solid but still not on the same Level as those of EA`s NHL Games so if you would look for something that Distinctive Games could improve it would be their Menu Art and Design. The Core Gameplay Mechanics are solid and depending on which difficulty level you are playing the Game can be either pretty easy or a hell of a ride if you are up to. The Strategy Settings for how your Team does behave and what they should do in a PowerPlay or while you are not holding the Puck are Basic and not as deep as in Electronic Arts NHL but will do it for most of those that want to have a quick and fast gaming experience without having to setup every position on their own or even going as far as to control the Strategy during a Game itself and changing it every single moment. Conclusion: Till Electronic Arts won`t finally stop having second thoughts about if an Mobile NHL Game could be worth it Distinctive Games will have an easy run and sell probaly more Units then ever every single year till it will be too late for Electronic Arts to finally get out of their cave and finally act if it comes to their own Franchise. At the current moment Matt Duchene's Hockey Classic from Distinctive Games is pretty much what you could call The Hockey Game you should play if it comes to iOS/Android also the missing NHL License is killing it for me and I hope that Distinctive Games will release a Hockey Game with the NHL License as soon as they can.
