I have to do an architectural composition of a building, could be 2D or 3D. I'm choosing 3D since I could get more creative with it, but it has to be relatively flat for storage purposes. I got a hard foam board for the base, and I was wondering what materials should I get for constructing the composition? Would cardboard + tape + glue work? If anyone did these projects before please provide some suggestions. Thanks.

try not to use tape. it looks ugly and unprofessional. but if you do, try to conceal it.

any type of hard board like material would be good.

and you want to use glue to put the edges together. tape is a last resort type of thing and if you have to use it make sure to conceal the tape so your outer area will have the semblance of being well made.

    Yeah, glue is best.
Especially if you apply hot glue from a glue gun along the cardboard edged and then stick it onto the base.
