Those are the best 2 to go with. I don't know why You can't get Fallout3, its really not bad at all other than some blood which Im sure you've seen before in video games, you shouldn't listen to the rating on that one.
Thank you sir! You're always helpful around the forums. Yeah I can play M games, but my parents buy me games like once a year. I bought MW2 already so they won't let me get another one. But I go up to BeatBuy all the time with friends and I have a GC so what the hell? From the list Alan Wake, and a few others stuck out. How's Burnout revenge compared to Burnout Paradise? I loved BO.
Burnout Revenge is terrible compared to Paradise. In fact, it's worse than 2 and 3 as well. Alan Wake is good, but short... if you want value for money then Lost Odyssey is the best on that list.
Idk, I didn't like Paradise much from what I played of the demo. It felt too... realistic for a series that was all about being an arcade racer. Revenge is the closest you'll come to Burnout 3 on the 360. Actually, it's almost exactly like 3 (for me at least) but with different cars and tracks. And it had BFMV and A7X in the soundtrack, so you can't go wrong there. That said, though, I've played both games extensively, almost to the point of beating them (although I've never actually beaten either, different reasons for each game). If you like Burnout 3 (If you've ever played that), you'll like Revenge. And like Midian said, Lost Odyssey is your best value if you like RPG's, since it's pretty cheap but 4 Discs long. I havn't actually played Alan Wake, but I hear it's great, and that's coming from people who don't REALLY like that many games. They said it's one of the scariest games they've played since Fatal Frame, so that's definitely an accomplishment. I seriously recommend both Stuntman: Ignition as it's extremely cheap (found several copies on Amazon for under $3 in good condition) as well as Battlefield 2, seeing as that one had a really cool HotSwap feature that let you change to another of your soldiers at any time during the battle, but still presented a challenge.
I haven't looked at it, but a guy I have on MSN is following it and he seems kinda disappointed at how the city looks almost the same as the first game but with a duller colour scheme. I've heard a few things but it's sounding suspiciously like something that could have been released as DLC. Not enough changes apparently.
Well, considering I never got the first one but I loved it, I'll probably be getting this one. But by then, Red Dead Redemption will be cheaper, so if I don't have it by then, I'll probably pick it up instead of Crackdown 2...
Meh, I never played the first one, so I guess I'm not really one to judge, but the 4-player co-op on every single mission in the campaign along with zombies is enough to sell me. That and new suits.
The first one was awesome, I put 40 hours into the demo alone playing co-op with a friend. If you didn't have it then 2 should be worthwhile.
4-Player co-op in every mission!? Zombies?! I'm sold! But I also have to get Dead Rising 2 and Red Dead Redemption... crap... When's this coming out? If there's no set date, around when is it supposed to be?
July 7th. I'd say wait a while longer to get RDR. The campaign was good, but I dunno, I expected a more open world feel for it, but after you beat the campaign, there's surprisingly little left to do save complete a few challenges and a game of poker. Free roam even worse. Gets old, fast.
Well... guess I won't be playing any 360 games for a long time... I just got the freaking red ring... And Ozzy's on MW2 tomorrow. CRAP! Ehh... I hate this... In the meantime, could you guys recommend some good Wii (ha), PS2/PS1, SNES, Gamecube, N64, PSP, or DS/GBA games that I can still get for a low price? It looks like I'll be spending about half of my summer without an Xbox.
Are you out of warranty? MS repair is pretty good around here, I got mine back within 10 days of filling out the form online.
Apparently, they extended all red-ring warranties to 3 years after purchase, and I've had my Xbox for at most 2 years now. Anything good, really, but I'd prefer either an open-world game or an RPG. I'd pick up The Warrior Within, but I'll be getting it on my iPod when it returns, so I can just wait for that. I've been considering Red Dead Revolver, since it's much cheaper and it's for a working system, but I don't know if there's free mode. I'd also like to get GTA3, but my parents aren't exactly fans of the series. I've been playing Burnout 3, Destroy all Humans, Dynasty Warriors 4, and a bunch of my SNES RPG's like Final Fantasy III, Super Mario RPG, and trying to get into Chrono Trigger. I'm also thinking about getting Phoenix Wright either Justice for All or Investigations. And I'm trying to be pretty cheap. I don't want to go over $20, since the rest of my money for now is for Peace Walker.
For the older consoles, is emulation an option? Because then you won't have to worry about price, and I can recommend a whole bunch of quality RPGs for the PS1.
I remember seeing that game and almost renting it a long time ago, but it was when my cousin was over, and so we didn't have time to get into an RPG. I might check it out sometime. Ummm... I'd prefer not to download PS1 games, since the files are too big, and it's a pain to download. If you have any N64 or older games, please recommend them. And I'd also like open-world games mostly. I just picked up Red Dead Revolver (unfortunately couldn't get Redemption for several reasons), and it's pretty good so far, but I can't tell if there's any open-world mode. I might pick up GTAIII next time I go to Gamestop (didn't get it this time... don't know why), since it's the only GTA game I could probably convince my parents to let me buy. Plus, it's only 5 bucks.
