I'd say, from those listed games, get Left 4 Dead 2. It's a great game, and from what I hear, Mafia II is rather mediocre. I tried the Kane and Lynch 2 demo at a friend's house (since, as you all probably know by now, my Xbox is still busted), and it was... meh. It was cool, but it felt unfairly difficult, like I was being shot at for no reason. I'd like to give it more of a chance, but I couldn't at the time. Otherwise Crackdown 2 is a really cool game. It's almost like GTA with a super powered cop and zombies. I played it at my freind's house and really enjoyed it.
Thanks man, Left 4 Dead 2 it is. Oh and yeah I have Crackdown 2 too. The Keys to the City DLC coming up looks amazingly fun.
For me, it's going to Fallout. Combines some decent gunplay (albeit a bit clunky) with great RPG elements, a huge world, and the incredibly fun VATS system. I'm sure it's pretty cheap by now, so definitely worth a look. And Slapshot, I'm assuming you have Bioshock, right? If not, get that before Left 4 Dead.
Gah, apples and oranges again! lol it's either a team-based multiplayer game or a single-layer open-world sandbox. Both are lots of fun, it just depends on what you want. L4D2 would be cheaper, if that's a factor.
I've been playing a few older RPGs a lot recently (e.g. PSX ones), so I've been slightly out of the loop in terms of current RPGs as of late. If people can give me names of either current RPGs or upcoming soon RPGs that would be great. JRPGs, WRPGs, shooter-RPGs, fantasy RPGs, I'm generally fine with any type. Just one condition: no console-only RPGs please, seeing as I don't own one. Ones I already know/have: Dragon Age Mass Effect 1/2 Fallout 3 Torchlight Borderlands I also know that Fable 3 is due to be released in...October or something? And that Dragon Age 2 is in the works.
How about the first Bioshock? If not, and you can afford it, definitely give that a go. I'm not sure how it holds up to the second one, but I personally enjoyed it quite a bit. But seeing as you have Bioshock 2, make getting Left 4 Dead 2 your priority.
Lost Odyssey for the 360 is the only Turn-Based RPG I can think of right now. Awesome game, from what I remember. Oblivion is a pretty fun game too, although it seems that some people don't enjoy it all that much (which I really can't blame them for, as it does become somewhat tedious at times). Honestly, if you want RPG's, stick to the old consoles. Go back and play more on the PS1, PS2 (which had some pretty good RPG's on it), and SNES. Those definitely had the best RPG's for any consoles. EDIT: Whoops... just read over the fact that you don't have a console... I'd suggest downloading RPG Maker 2000/2003. Fun tool to use, and it's free now that XP/VX are out. I'd recommend that you download Shut Up and Jam Gaiden, but you were the one who recommended that I pick that up... Actually, give the original Fallout games a shot. They're all on Steam, although not sure for how much.
I've never used it... It takes up way too much space on my HDD, which I have to leave like 6 GB open for Call of Duty 4, which I have to keep installed since the disc is messed up. Plus, I almost never buy points or money for Live, since there are only a few games I want off of there. Most are either sold on discs or just don't interest me much.
I need to resurrect this thread for one question: I got a $20 PSN gift card yesterday and after getting Parasite Eve I have 14 left. Should I get: Silent Hill Origins ($10) + Street Fighter Alpha 2 ($3) OR Silent Hill ($6) + Other PS1 Classic ($6) EDIT: I should add that I have Silent Hill for the PS1, but not on the PSP.
All the upcoming games I'll buy Battlefield 3 Modern Warfare 3 (Maybe not) Ghost Recon - Future Soldier Final Fantasy XIII-2 Brink
