Ok, essentially this thread has the same purpose as the mass what should I get thread, just not for idevice games. This can be for console games, or actually for whatever you want.

To start things off, Could I hear some impressions on these games? (all X360):
    -Far Cry 2
    -Mercenaries 2
    -Tomb Raider Underworld
    -Bully: Scholkarship Edition
    -Battlefield:BC2 (cant download the demo)

    Thanks.

I can't recommend BioShock enough. Truly a classic. Btw I've been wondering about these games:

    Heavy Rain
    Assassin's Creed 1 or 2
    BioShock 2
    MAG
    Battlefield: BC2

From what I've played, BFBC2 is way different than Modern Warfare, which is the first FPS that comes to mind to pretty much anyone. Here's a convenient faux bullet-point (since I don't know how to type actual bullet points) list that makes me seem more productive when I'm really to lazy to write out full grammatically correct sentences.

    - More Strategic (no convenient spawn points, maps are huge, no camping, group goals)

-More Large Scale (maps are huge, you can get sniped from half a mile away, the explosions are big, everything is destructible, helicopters and tanks everywhere)

    - More Skill Involved (no camping, goals are too complicated to carry out on your own, you're not conveniently the gunner of an AC-13, you have to find a helicopter, fly, and shoot and the same time, and boy are they hard to fly, and make sure you don't get shot down, no killstreak rewards to deathstreak rewards, bullet-drop, and other realistic features makes it so much more challenging)

The one game I really look forward to is:
    Call of Duty: Vietnam
    Halo Reach

You'll either love or hate Assassin's Creed. I personally loved the first one, and i haven't played the second.

Bioshock 2, that's a difficult one. The game is great, but dramatically changes your view of Rapture. If you play it, it will seem familiar and foreign at the same time. You don't feel as powerful as you should.

You'll wonder how you missed some stuff when you went through Rapture the first time. Wielding plasmids and weapons at the same time is great, you can do a quick melee with any weapon, and the Drill requires fuel, so you don't have a completely trusting melee weapon to fall back on. Never really enough ammo to find a weapon you really like the most. Harder than the first.

Great game, be aware that it will probably change your view of Rapture, though.

I rented L4D2 and it was cool. I dont really love the spray and pray type games but it was a good one. Onl;y played online multiplayer which was fun.
That is Call of Duty: World at War. Nazi Zombies is awesome, but it depends on the price of the game. At a place like target, itd be like 50-60 bucks. At gamestop, prolly 30-40.

Assassin's Creed 2 or Bioshock 2. I love both (I've only played Bioshock 1, but my friend says that they are very similar) and you relaly can't go wrong either way. Assassin's Creed 1 is now pretty much obsolete after playing the second one.

Dude, get L4D2. If you're getting World at War for the Nazi Zombies only, then get L4D2. It's pretty much a whole game of Nazi Zombies, but in campaign settings. I got it for Christmas, havn't played multiplayer online yet, and still love it.

    Would anyone recommend Heavy Rain?
I have played the demo and I thought it was pretty fun. But with that type of gameplay, I would want the game to last a while because I probably wouldn't repeat it unless you get different outcomes.

Ok, i just got a LOT of money(by my standards anyway) so now im at around 150 bucks. I have a few questions first:

Does anyone know how much "Project Natal" will cost when it is released?( i think its comin out this fall and im thinkin of getting it for chriustmas)

What is the release date of Halo: Reach and Medal of Honor(The new one)?

Now onto the games im considering:
    -Red Dead Redemption
    -Halo:Reach
    -BF BC2
    -Medal of Honor
    -Skate 3

Im gonna rent skate 3 when it comes out and im renting BF BC2 this weekend. Now I think Im gonna preorder Halo for my birthday(its in august) nd I am incredibly interested in RDR.Could I hear some thoughts on that? For skate 3 im just gonna see if it has enough new features to warrant a purchase since i alredy got skate 1. Also I have MW2 and which do u think wil be better: MOH or BF: BC2?

    Thanks.

There has been no price point set yet for Natal. Speculations range from $100 to $300.

Halo: Reach is in September (The 14th, I think) and Medal of Honor is in the same month.

The rest I can't really help you with... But BF:BC2 is awesome. It'll be interesting to see how the MOH reboot works out.

I have a PS3, but I don't think that mercs 2 is much different between the 2 platforms. I would say that it is a great game for going around exploding stuff, but it can be frustrating, especially since they charge $5,000-10,000 (virtual money of course) if you kill a civilian. Overall, I enjoyed playing it, but if you want something extremely polished, I wouldn't buy mercs 2. On the other hand, if you like exploding stuff and driving/flying all types of awesome vehicles, this is the game for you ;)

Any good games that can be played over Xbox Live that aren't shooters? The only 2 I have are Soul Cali8bur IV and Ace Combat 6 (which my friend is letting me borrow).

    Well........
You can get very different outcomes. I think you can just flat out lose the game for good!

But it's also supposed to be a VERY long game. At least 20 hrs. I think?
