Nope, looks like it got taken down... Which of the following games are the most worth getting? I only have $5 though.... Lego Harry Potter 5-7, This Could Hurt, Amateur Surgeon 2, Pandemic 2.5, Fireball/Ballistic SE, Bubble Pig. Also any suggestions for awesome pickupandplay games are appreciated...
I think you'd enjoy Doodle God. It has a lot of RPG elements and it's really (I mean REALLY) addictive. I couldn't put it away untill 100% completion. Just $0.99... Bubble Pig was a very nice surprise for me, it's a very polished and fun platformer with a lot of diversity by the stages, you should give it a try. Fireball SE is also very good. So now I'm looking for nice RTS games on Appstore. I already have Land Air Sea Warfare, is Starfront worth picking up? Any other suggestions...?
Is splinter Cell any good?I like the game but is it worth getting now or should I wait till it drops to 99ยข.And are Phoenix wright ,sonic cd ,Resident Evil 4 ,Mass Effect or where's waldo worth it
amoebattle? It lacks multiplayer components, but the missions are a blast to play through. Currently, there's no skirmish mode so, but the play through is about 6-8 hours long. If you've played games like Starcraft before(micro/macro is important). Also what about Kairosoft's Games. It's not necessarily the traditional RTS, but it has some pretty addictive elements and functions on real time. I personally recommend Mega Mall Story. @thezman: wait for the sale. I tried Sonic CD, but didn't like it as much. It might be that I've just grown out of the genre. Resident Evil 4 isn't the full game, so the campaign stops near when the regenerators become introduced(I know Capcom updated new levels, but I don't think it's complete yet). I haven't tried Mass Effect, but there's a divide in the criticism due to the control mechanisms. Some say that the game isn't very conventional and true to the series. Pheenix Wright was good, but IMO it's just one of those games you play through once. Money could be invested at better places. Haven't tried Waldo.
Splinter Cell is awesome! Extremely underrated. It's worth the $5 but I'd wait for a 99cent sale though.
Is Ascension worth my .99? I used to play MTG casually so it looks good, but is it worth the 2700 posts on the forum?
Oh I'm already a big fan of Kairosoft's games (got all of them). I'm getting Amoebattle then. Thank you. Ascension is a must-buy, sir. 99 cents is a shame for a game like this.
Does Assassins Creed Altairs Cronichles work on iPod.Cause I've tried the free version but it just disappears when it finishes .If it does work should I get it when it goes on sale?
Yes, it works on the iPod. Unfortunately, I didn't like that game... at all. Poor gameplay, imprecise controls, boring stages. But that's just me.
So guys, been away from ios for a while and with the launch of Diablo 3, I am looking for a lootfest. I am aware of the Dungeon hunter games, but beyond that am fairly blind. I also am not really picky about the style of rpg it is exactly, whether it's top down like diablo or any other style, I just want a lot, and I mean a lot of shinies(preferably randomly generated) to pick through. help me out?
I didn't think it was an amazing game (but pretty good) -- I think Pocket RPG fits your description. However, after each dungeon your shinies go away and become pts that you can use to buy upgrades to the shinies that you'll get in the next dungeon.
All right, I'll give that a go I see it frequently but haven't bitten the bullet yet. Another perfect example of the kind of thing I'm talking about is Power of Coin, where you level up, battle gods, and win loot...within the confines of a classic arcade/casino coin shooter game.
I'd have to disagree with Bloko. Don't get me wrong, I did get addicted to Doodle God, and I do think that you should try it out, but it doesn't have RPG elements.. at all. I mean, all you do is mix-and-match elements to create more and more elements.
I wouldn't recommend Pocket RPG if you're looking for a lootfest. I mean, the high of finding a great shiny is that you can keep it to rip through levels. In Pocket RPG though, you don't retain the same item throughout the game and finding a shiny isn't as rewarding as finding one in other RPG's. I'd personally recommend Zenonia 2. Play as Daza and go a full Dex build. The shinies you find are very rewarding because they can have a wide spectrum of attributes.
Well, it will depend on what do you consider to be an RPG element. If you get by example the chapter "Find the Princess" you'll have to progress something like this: - Human + Weapon = Warrior - Human + Energy = Magician - Warrior + Magician = Adventurers - Adventurers + Experience = Party - Party + King = Quest - Quest + Mountain = Dragon's lair - Party + Dragon = Dead dragon + key And so it goes... seems pretty RPG-ish to me. The main chapters also come up with a lot of RPG-stylized combinations, mainly when you need to create the mythical creatures, the spells, the classes (necromancer, paladin...), the races (elf, goblin, orc, dwarf...), etc, which require you to know the fantasy stories out there to know what to do. It's nothing more then the mix-and-match thing indeed, but there are plenty of RPG stuff in the mix imo.
Hi all, Looking for some suggestions, it's starting to feel like i've played through everything in the app store... I recently finished Swordigo and enjoyed it (for the most part, it has some flaws). I am looking for something similar. I really like the old school zelda-y feel of the game (it wasn't just a loot fest which I am waaay over) though the world itself was lacking in regards to the actual "exploration" (it's pretty linear overall). I really love fantasy adventure (adventure like zelda, not like monkey island) games. I'm afraid I've played the majority on the app store but I am hoping that there are more i've missed. Here's a quick list of games I've already tried, let me know if you can think of anything else. Thanks! Recenty, Aralon (of course, but this one didn't really do it for me. A little too MMO-y) Dark Incursion (controls killed this one for me) Evertales (meh) Mystery of the Japanese Werewolf Swordigo Waking Mars My Little Hero (i really wanted to like this one, but it was too linear and the controls are meh) Pocket RPG (fun, got tired of it eventually) Robot wants Kitty (meh) Brandnew Boy (seemed like it would be great, got old fast) And some older games I played, Hook Champ, Super Hook World, etc. (i LOVED these) Mage Gauntlet (this less so, it got old fast) Ghosts and Goblins Gold Knights (so bad) The Zenonia games (I keep buying these even though I never like them. I like the gameplay but hate the rest, in fact I really haven't found a KRPG that I have liked) Iotia games (same) Babylonian Twins (more puzzle platformer than anything, meh) Rimelands (great) Ash (meh) Illusia (same as above, though I got more playing time out of this one before getting tired of the loot game) Sacred Odyssey (like aralon, too MMO-y) Secret of Mana (so good) Superbrothers Sword and Sworcery (i don't get it, just don't like it) Meganoid (good) Dungeon Hunter series (meh) One Bit Ninja (Soooooooooooooo Goood) Infinity Blades (good) and I have probably tried a ton more that don't spring to mind. So I know it's a long request but if you can think of anything let me know. I recently downloaded Terra Noctis and Grokion though I havent tried either yet. Thanks again!
Ah okay well, I actually haven't played Doodle God since it was released and I don't think it even had that stuff But yea, when I think of RPG, I think of a character that, when progressing through the game, will get stronger; whether it's by acquiring gear, new skills, or just increasing stats. If you look at the games that he has, he mentions Dungeon Raid. If you've never played it, it's a match-three game where you can level up, unlock different classes, abilities, gear etc. I don't know, I just don't feel that Doodle God is the type of game that he's looking for.
Yes, thank you, that's exactly it. Any suggestions on that front? I really wish Sword & Poker was still available
