Hey guys. I'm going on a long ride tomorrow and need some more games. Preferably ones that don't eat my battery too fast and are lots of fun. Here are some I'm thinking of: Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer Polymer WrestleFest Premium Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (this is the one I really want to know on...is it worth three bucks? Hows the frame rate and fun of it?) Amoebattle? Also any other suggestions are appreciated.
Definitely pick up MvC2! One of the best fighting games on the app store (probably the best based on gameplay alone). The controls can be a bit tough to get used too, but they aren't that big of a deal. I've heard people complaining about how bad it looks, but from my experience you'll completely forget about it once you are into the fast-paced action. As for Wrestlefest, I'd advise you to hold off on it. The controls are a bit unresponsive and the entire game just isn't enjoyable.
Any chance to get Aralon for 99c is one you should jump on. I liked Pocket RPG for a short diversion, and it's good, but it's not a great game. Very crashy for me on my iPhone4.
The $3 you'd spend on MvC2 for a brief novelty could go toward so many other fun games that will actually satisfy you for a good while. I'm as entertained by the novelty of console games coming to iOS as the next guy/gal, but that's all it is -- a novelty.
Does anyone know of a dungeon master or eye of the beholder type game for ipad2? I know grimrock is coming but I'd like something to keep me going until it arrives.
While I had fun with PocketRPG, I also didn't love it. It felt so sterile and lifeless to *me*. At 0.99..you can do worse...
780 pts on free my apps. Max Payne or 3 apps from this set: {clear vision, angry birds space, cut the rope experiments, flick home run}
speaking of free my apps, i just started using it. how often do the sponsor and gift lists update? also wondering about max payne. mixed reviews all over the place. any thoughts?
They usually give about 3 sponsor apps a week. I redeemed Max Payne just last night and played through a few chapters earlier and I am loving it. Not many complaints.
Free App Daily. You don't get to choose the gift apps like you do with freemyapps, but the process is a lot less time consuming. They basically put up a new popular app every day or two, you download three apps, and then you get your app free. You don't have to play for any specific amount of time; you just need to open each app. Just got Shark Dash the other day.
